This device provides valuable information for awareness of power usage in our 30 Amp RV. This allows more efficient operation of the electrical supply so that we can manage 120 volt AC equipment to avoid tripping breakers.
We feel real secure in this product. Has always worked just as it is supposed to. Glad we purchased a product we can repair if blown instead of having to purchase a new surge protector after an event.

This is one great product. Alerted us to some issues at a campground in FL last fall that was damaged from a hurricane earlier in the year.
Hardware looks sturdy and well constructed. Would like to have the face of the display aligned with the front of the connector, but I think I can remedy that. I'll unscrew the connectors, add some silicone grease to the O-rings (I hope that I find) inside, and put it back together square.
Software could be better. The one most important metric I'm looking for is peak Amperage when my A/C starts up, and I'm not getting a good number there. The display doesn't update continuously, and the peak power usage is just a moment in time, so I get a reading just before the peak and another reading just after the peak.
Would be great if the iPhone app was upgraded to give an option for "Peak Level" like is common on audio devices. That, or a line graph of the last minute or so, with a Y-Axis where I could find the Amps at the peak.
Two stars deducted for the lack of a vital software feature and a slightly sloppy assembly. For the money, I'd expect both.
After a year I have had no issues. Luckily I haven't had to use the protection, but nice to know it is there. I find that I use the app much more than I anticipated. It helped me track down an issue I was having with my converter. The Bluetooth connection is reliable and the app is straight forward and simple to use.
I use this surge protector on our 5th wheel. The BT capability allows me to monitor power usage remotely and ensure my trailer is protected.

We use the surge protector on every trip, and it provides peace of mind. I usually check out our peak usage once per day.
Works as advertised. I am impressed with the app and the ability to monitor my electricity usage and it is good to know that if the surge protector ever has to be used, I can just replace the module. Nice!

This is a very good surge protector. With the phone app I can review my power usage and voltage.
I'm giving you a 3 star review for the shipping. It was shipped in its original factory box which gave it no protection from damage. Plus the flip top lid to the box wasn't secured by tap or any other method.
The box actually opened on its own after I picked it up from the post office and everything fell out. I consider it a miracle that it showed up at all not to mention not broken which I won't know for sure until the next camping trip.
Please put in a little more effort into insuring that the products are safe to be shipped.
Great surge suppressor that you can monitor with your phone! Measures kilowatts used, amp draw, volts, etc.
We have been using the Watchdog for the better half of the season since we had to replace our power cable. It had a burnt end due to a poor hookup at a campsite. Nowwe can test our hookup before we connect our trailer. There is also an app that helps monitor the connection. The best thing about the Watchdog is that the replaceable surge protector.

Its been well over a year that we have been using the Watchdog and there have been at least three times that we have connected to fault outlets. We have also survived two power surges in the past year. I highly recommend using a Watchdog or any reputable surge protector to protect your RV.
It's an exceptional product and the bluetooth is super nice to have!

Excellent surge protector, very satisfied with purchase
great product. I really like being able to have the app on my phone and see the power usage on it too. being able to replace the part that blows when there is a surge is very handy instead of buying a new unit. id also like to say how awesome and helpful etrailer is also. I needed assistance awhile back and they seemed more than eager to help me.

The Watchdog is a very good product. Only type we will buy.
We have had this for just this year and working as expected. We have not yet had a site with a bad connection, but it confirms a good electric source and the surge protection in the event of a storm or site fault.
