Note: Some vents may not open fully when used with this vent cover. If opened 50% or more, the vent will still achieve maximum airflow.
The MaxxAir II has a vent area that is twice the size of the vent area on standard covers. This provides more airflow in and out of your RV or trailer, and the side vents provide cross-ventilation for even more airflow. The angled louvers allow smoke, heat, and odors to escape while keeping rain and debris out.
EZClip Pins Simplify Opening
This MaxxAir II vent cover comes with 4 EZClip pins. These pins enable you to easily open or remove the cover. When the pins are removed from one side, the opposite side acts as a hinge, allowing you unobstructed access to your roof vent for cleaning and maintenance. To secure the cover closed, slide the pins back into the cover and push them up to lock them in place.
Installation on 2015 and Newer MaxxFan and MaxxFan Plus Roof Vents
The MaxxAir II vent cover is specifically designed for installation on 2015 and newer-model MaxxFan and MaxxFan Plus roof vents - no drilling or tools are required. The integrated mounting brackets on the MaxxAir II perfectly align with the mounting tabs that are molded onto the flange of the roof vent. To install, fit the cover over the roof vent. Then slide the included EZClip pins through the tabs and rotate them up to secure the cover in place.
Installation on Older Model MaxxFan and MaxxFan Plus Roof Vents
If you're installing this cover over an older model MaxxFan or MaxxFan Plus roof vent without mounting tabs, no drilling is required, and all necessary hardware is included. The MaxxFan roof vent has pre-drilled holes in the side wall that are hidden under plastic plugs. Just remove the plugs and fasten the aluminum brackets to the side wall with stainless steel screws. Then insert the EZClip pins through the brackets to secure the cover in place.
Installation on All Other Standard Roof Vents
If you're installing this MaxxAir II cover over any other roof vent, then drilling into the frame of the roof vent is required to mount the aluminum brackets. Stainless steel screws, nuts, and washers are included to install the cover. However, if you're installing the cover over a high-powered, high-speed ventilation fan, use the included self-tapping screws to mount the cover instead.

Needed this to cover the vent in our horse trailers living quarters. Now we can keep it open, and the rain cannot get in. On those days at a show where I do not run the generator. Plus, when it is sitting will help the heat to escape. Husband was able to put this on with ease. Very happy with how fast it was delivered. It fit perfect.

Put on top of MaxxAir fan on my Jayco Jay Feather 25RB so we can use it during rain. The outer flange on the fan frame is already prepped for this cover - installation took all of 5 minutes. Highly recommended.

I have standard (non-MaxxAir) roof vents and their adapter brackets worked perfectly and the unit overall fits perfect. Like the MaxxAir II cover because you can pull 4 pins and lift it off to get to your roof vent if you need to. You can also open your vents about 90% which is more than we have ever opened them prior due to fear of wind damage. For me this is a MUST upgrade.

We purchased these 6 months ahead of the arrival of our new trailer with 2 Max Air fans. At the time, no one had the transparent/smoke ones in stock, so we wanted to get ahead of supply chain issues. etrailer had them, and we received them quickly.
Had the trailer dealer install them and two others on the new trailer, so they could do any caulk work if needed. These are fantastic, in that you almost can't tell they are on the fan. A bit of tint, but otherwise crystal clear, and we never worry about leaving the vent covers open while travelling, or in inclement weather. etrailer is our go to for as many of our RV supplies as we can get from them, instead of the "A" company. Great customer service, good prices, and speedy shipping.

Item came in damaged today due to extremely poor packaging. Way to small of a box for this high height item that whoever packaged it just tried to make the narrow box stretch enough, leading to severe permanent distortion and cracking of the plastic on the vent cover. Sad. I also was surprise that there was absolutely no packing cushioning material or foam or bubble wrap around this item to prevent scratches. Been packaging for 35+ years in my collector car parts mail order business, with hardly ever any damage claims, so I know how to package items, and this is NOT how to prevent damage and wear to item! First of all, why wasn't this in a factory inner box of some kind for the vent cover? I'm guessing because you buy these in bulk, probably by the stack, and don't even get a factory box to put it in that would protect it and have a better presentation. I also would recommend not attaching the heavier metal brackets tightly with a zip tie to the vent area delicate support members by louvers, that could crack them, especially if box is pushed or set down in that area, that will push them against the delicate lovers. Their bag should be taped into the inner part of the vent, probably on the underside of top of vent, where no damage will happen. Needed to get this on for a trip using the RV this week; now I have to wait for a replacement, and not have for the trip and lots of time and hassles with calls, pictures, and waiting. Poor packaging work, cutting back trying to save a buck or two on time or materials, and not thinking how you are doing something have real world consequences for all involved folks. Hope you can do better on the replacement. Thanks.

I was replacing the Maxxair II vents that were on my Camper only to discover the size changed therefore I needed to change out the brackets . Would have been nice if they were the same size as 6 years ago.
