We attached the roof vent to our John Deere Gator and with it open the air flow increases significantly and keeps the inside cooler on hot days. Great product, easy to install, and we highly recommend.

After a year we would still highly recommend this vent for any utility vehicle that does not have AC. Several friends have added this vent unit to their utility vehicles and have noticed the air flow with the vent open keeps the interior cooler.

by:

Added this to my travel van roof, love it! Gonna add more to my cargo van's side walls because I didn't want windows, but need heat release and a way to peek outside safely when needed. These are perfect and the raised vent helps keep the rain out. A bit hard to open, but that's proven to be a good thing; much easier to close. The holes are safer/stronger than a mesh opening. These are perfect for my use!

I used one of the two I purchased in my 1971 W200 dodge truck its like free A/C, no not really but it helps flow air through my cab for those 9 months of stifling Florida heat an humidity. No leaks when closed. Great price. I paid 100 bucks more then a scraper paid for the truck (300) drive it almost everyday its a beater for sure but has good airflow...

by:

I just traded the cargo trailer in for a 19' bumper pull light weight trailer. I liked the part and will look at other things to buy from you for my newest addition.

by:

Installed two vents in a trailer to haul dogs. Built better than I expected. Came with gasket and I used rivets to attach to the roof and rear door. somewhat a challenge to open until I opened it a couple of times.

by:

I installed this on the roof of a Polaris RZR (UTV SXS) to let in more air on those hot days and it works great, it is well made and rugged enough to withstand brush or tree limbs rubbing on it when riding a trail.

by:

These vents are very well made and a bargain for how durable they are. Installation was simple - after using the gasket as a template, a drill and a jigsaw to cut the hole, and a screwdriver to mount the vents, was all that was needed.

My only criticism is that the holes are big enough to let insects smaller than a honey bee into the trailer, but I mitigated that by placing a piece of fiberglass window screen into the opening as I mounted the vent (see photo). This means that I can now only operate the vents from the outside, and I made that easier by putting some white lithium grease on the friction points.

My little DIY enclosed trailer will now stay cooler in the warm months with the vents allowing the hot air to escape and never having a chance to build up in the first place.

by:

The vents I ordered are an awesome addition to my plane hauler!
I fly large scale (100cc) radio control airplanes in International Miniature Airplane Model (IMAC) competitions. I needed a light weight enclosed trailer to transport my planes and equipment to competitions. After building a custom 5x8 plane hauler I realized I needed a set of high quality closable/reversible vents . Etrailer.com had just what I needed!

by:

Mounted on my can am commander 1000 roof. I would mount more forward as air comes in at about 45 degree angle. Used black hex bolts so looks good. Very solidly made and helps with heat inside. I did get the inside piece to make look better, had to cut down depth which is a bit tricky but makes inside look really good.

by:

This is a great roof vent for an enclosed trailer. Suited my needs for more ventilation perfectly. This vent is super tough and easy to install. Took me 30 minutes start to finish. Great product!

by:

Its awesome. I put two in the top of my Can-Am side by side.

by:

It was better than I first thought they would be. I haven't installed them yet but am very interested on how they will work.

by:

Excellent item, installed on my 2020 Intimidator, the adjustable air flow feature works great and being able to reverse the vent during rain works great would recommend to anyone.

by:

A very nice piece of equipment. It looks like the top of the moveable vent was not allowed to dry completely prior to wrapping for shipment. No matter. I am planning to sand and paint to match my truck color.

by:

Great Product!

by:

Great communication from this company, Quick shipping, can't wait to install them

by:

Nice vent. Installed it on my camper shell for my pickup. A little hard to open and close but I think it will get easier with time. Order arrived on time.

by:

Very well made item But very hard to open and close.

by:

Hi, I have installed two of these on the roof of my Polaris General UTV. They are constructed solidily from steel stock and I expect them to last forever. I'm happy with the product and etrailer.com's service.

  • Depth of the Redline Garnish part # 2756
The leg length or the depth that the garnish part # 2756 has is right at 2 inches. From the picture you submitted it looks like you installed the roof vent part # 9106 with the mounting flange on the inside of the trailer. The vent should be installed with the mounting flange on the outside of the trailer and then use the garnish to cover up the opening you cut. In that configuration the garnish would conceal the hole you cut and the rivets. It can also be trimmed shorter if needed.

  • Does Replacement Exterior Pop-Up Roof Vent 9106 Come With Cut Out Template
A cut out template is not included with the Replacement Exterior Pop-Up Roof Vent # 9106. So you will need to do some measuring before installation, and it will install in an opening of roughly 11-1/8" long x 5-1/2" wide. I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.

  • Replacement Vent for Sidewall of Toy Hauler
Although the # 9106 vent is primarily designed for use on the roof of a trailer, there's no reason why it couldn't be used on the sidewall. The vent is designed for a 11-1/8" long x 5-1/2" wide rough opening, so if the opening on your trailer wall is similarly sized, the vent would work well for you. An interior trim piece, part # 2756 is also available.

  • Recommended Powered Roof Vent Fan for Sprinter Van
Although we don't have anything specifically designed for a Van, and RV roof vent would serve your purpose. The Fan-Tastic 12V powered roof fan, part # FV803350 would be a good choice. The powered fan is reversible so it can be used to bring in fresh air or to exhaust hot air out. The fan features a thermostatically controlled 3 speed motor. The vent doesn't include a rain shield, but it does have a rain sensor that will close it automatically if rain begins to enter the vehicle. If you...

  • Comparison Between the Aluminum 2-Way Roof Vent # RV-626-062 and the Black 2-Way Vent # 9106
For all intents and purposes there really is no functional difference between the Replacement Exterior Pop-Up Roof Vent # 9106 and the Ventilator, Pop Up 2-Way Aluminum with Screen # RV-626-062. Either would work just as well as the other with the only real difference being that one is painted black and the other is aluminum. Both could be used as a top vent.

  • Can The Exterior Pop-Up Roof Vent Be Used In The Open Position To Pressurize Trailer Interior?
I have seen both the Steel # 9106 and Aluminum # RV-626-062 Pop-Up Vents used in a open position to allow the air to blow into the trailer while driving. While I do not see the manufacturer having any kind of speed rating on these I would be hesitant to the speed or having them opening forward depending on the material you are mounting it to. Since some trailers only use fiberglass shells I would not find that material secure enough to hold the vent open while driving. But if you have a...

  • Roof Vent Recommendation for Enclosed Trailer with 11" Roof Framing
The closest that we have for your application is the Replacement Exterior Pop-Up Roof Vent - Steel - 13-1/2" x 8" - Black # 9106 which fits a rough opening size of 11-1/8" long x 5-1/2" wide. It sounds like you might be looking for a really long custom-made vent which aren't able to produce, but you can install a few of these along your roof if this design is closer to what you're looking for.

  • Is Redline 9106 Black Steel Pop-Up Roof Vent Available in White Color or in Plastic Version
The Redline oval-shape Exterior Pop-Up Roof Vent # 9106 is not offered in white nor does it comes in a plastic version, but we do offer it in unpainted aluminum as part # RV-626-062. We also have this vent with a garnish (interior trim piece) included as part # 9106-2756 in black steel and as part # RV-626-062-2756 in aluminum. All include a gasket to prevent leaks.

  • Can a Solar Powered Plumbing Vent be Used on an Enclosed Car Hauler Trailer
You could use plumbing vent # UF53-945001 for your enclosed car hauler trailer. On the inside what I would do is get some screen (like for windows) that does not restrict air flow (as good for air flow as you can find) and cover the opening on the inside of the trailer. But this fan has a very low cubic feet per minute air movement rating and might not be the best option. Another option is to use vent # HMAV2-AVT2 or # WHMAV2-WAVT2. The openings point down so installed on the side or front...

  • Can A RV Roof Vent Be Installed On The Side Of A Trailer
Absolutely! With that being said most of the roof vents like the MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote # MA00-04500K are not designed to be installed on the side of your trailer, and may leak if not installed on the roof. Instead I recommend the Replacement Exterior Pop-Up Roof Vent # 9106 which can be installed on the side of your trailer as you can see in the included picture. You will need 12 mounting screws like # 31071, and Silicone # 0160297 to secure the vent...

The Ventline E-Z Lift Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Manual Lift - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - Smoke # V3092-603-00 you mentioned is a great option. You do not need to add an interior garnish, however, I do recommend you use a frame of some sort for your vent to have the installation screws attach to. If it were me, I'd use the Ceiling Garnish for Ventline Roof Vent - 2-1/8" Leg - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - Polar White # VA0445-34 to finish the frame out. • Roof Vent with Fan Recommendation for an Ambulance in Africa
I think your best option would be the Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # VP-543SP. This is pretty compact and would allow you to vent the inside of your ambulance. The design of this would prevent water from coming as well. You could even run two of these. One wired up the standard way to act as an exhaust fan and then wire up the other one in reverse so that it will pull outside air in.

  • Can The Exterior Pop-Up Roof Vent # 9106 Fit On A Freightliner Columbia Sleep Cab
Hey Javier, The Replacement Exterior Pop-Up Roof Vent # 9106 could potentially work but you'll want to take some measurements first to confirm. This vent requires a 11-1/8" long x 5-1/2" wide cutout hole. The overall dimensions are 13-1/2" long x 8" wide so you'll also need to verify that this will work with any other accessories mounted to the roof. If comes with a gasket to prevent water from leaking in but I'd highly recommend putting a healthy glob of self-leveling sealant # 34427034145-1...
