Today on enclosed trailer we'll be installing the Ventline replacement operator with knob and screw for Ventline Ventadome trailer roof vent with metal dome. Part number BV0115-04. We'll also be installing the replacement dome assembly for the Ventline Ventadome trailer roof vent. Part number Bv0534-00. Now you'll need to first take apart the interior portion of the vent. There's four screws that hold the outer trim piece on.
You want to be extra careful here, as the plastic becomes very brittle as it gets older. Next there's two screws, one on the front and back, that hold the screen in place. These are small Phillips head screws. With that done, we'll go ahead and set the screen down out of the way. Next, you'll remove the two screws that hold the operator arm in place. You'll then slide the operator arm out through the slot.
We'll then take the new operator arm, slide it back up into place, and put the two screws back in, holding it to the frame of the vent. Next, we're going to need to go up on the roof of the trailer. Now we're ready to install the new cover. Just slide it in from one side and as you're doing that you want to make sure that the actuator arm slides through the round portion and then up into the channel. Now, it makes it a little easier if you have someone down in the trailer to help guide this through, or to raise and lower the actuator arm if need be. Now, we'll go ahead and lower the lid all the way down where we can bend the tab over. You want to make sure that both sides are bent far enough that there's no chance they can slide back out of the track.
Next, we'll need to go down into the trailer where we'll be attaching the friction clip to the operator arm. That way it can't come off of the new lid. You want to make sure that the concave side of the clip bears against the dome bar. If you've attached the handle temporarily, you will need to unscrew it so we can put the screen back up into place. Once the screen's back up into place you can go ahead and put the handle back on. Finally, we'll put the trim ring of the piece of plastic that goes around the outer edge with the four screws.
With that, that's all there is to it, to replacing the Ventline replacement operator with knob and screw for the Ventline Ventadome trailer roof vent with metal dome. Part number BV0115-04. .

Replaces the flat metal cover on Ventline Ventadome RV roof vents.I waited several months before writing a review so that I could make sure this replacement cover didn't leak. It hasn't! It was really easy to install which I did myself. For reference, I'm a 53 year old woman. Our trailer is an enclosed aluminum trailer, and this cover fit perfectly.
Cover was easy to replace and fits well. I either missed the recommendation that the seal may need to be replaced or there should be . Eitherw way I'm happy will be ordering a seal.
We have replaced over a dozen cracked and UV damaged plastic roof vents on our cargo trailers with the Ventline metal vents and replacement metal covers from etrailer.com.
etrailer has always provided us with fast turnaround time on deliveries and excellent follow-up and their pricing is very competitive.
I recommend etrailer to anyone who needs trailer parts and accessories.

My trailer has 4 roof vents, and they all disintegrated at the same time with two of them blowing off in a thunderstorm. I live in SW Arizona, so the sun does a ton of damage. I was looking for vent lid replacements that should hopefully last longer than the last ones, and took a chance on these metal ones. Although we had some issues with the ordering, the lids arrived in a few days, well packaged and in perfect shape. I had to wait until my son was available to install, as you need someone inside the unit and someone on the roof. These metal lids fit perfectly on my 2019 Shockwave (Forest River) vents, and should last quite a while I hope. Although these lids won't allow any light in, the old vents were black, so shouldn't be much of a difference.
I ordered 3. I received them promptly, but the hinged area that you slide onto your camper was to loose and the cover came off when I opened it. So I had to use a pliers and crimp them smaller. Then one had rivets on the support bar where the other 2 did not so it won’t close all the way.
I am very pleased with your service and received the Roof Vet Covers in a timly manner.
The covers fit just fine and look nice. See trailer picture attached.
Much lower profile than the original plastic dome I shattered when rolling my trailer into the garage (DOH!).
The Installation video was helpful but, due to the obscure screws my trailer manufacturer used to install the vent, I had to work topside, above the screen, using an offset screwdriver.
The replacement dome arrived very quickly (which was good, 'cause rain was on the way).
Ordered this metal vent lid to replace the deteriorating plastic lid on my 2017 Lark trailer and have no regrets. This lid is well built, fit perfectly and operates smoother than the plastic one because it flexes less. Followed the directions on the package and had the lid replaced in 10 minutes or so. It was an easy swap and probly the best investment I could have made for the integrity of my trailer. No more worrying about hail busting that cheap plastic lid. I will definitely be ordering my new trailer with this lid installed. I highly recommend replacing those cheap plastic lids with this one.
Came exactly as advertised. Installed quickly. No pictures of before, the plastic completely fell apart in removing. I opted to paint it white with Rustoleum, and it works great. Wish I had known this was available the last time we replaced it. Should never have to replace this on this unit again. Will definitely remember this for ANY future applications.
Thanks
El producto tal como se indicaba llegó perfecto y calzó muy bien en mi camper. De muy fácil Instalacion, no más de una hora. Gracias
(The product as indicated was perfect and fit very well in my camper.
Very easy installation, no more than an hour.
Thank you)
The plastic vent cover on my 2018 trailer, only a year old started crumbling and disintegrating, received this metal cover from etrailer.com and was very satisfied, shipping was quick and installation was easy, probably the last vent cover I will ever need for this trailer.
Thank you etrailer.com
We love our new metal covers for our camper! We replaced our old and cracked plastic ones; they were no match for the sun! These metal ones will last and the high temps we get in NorCal won’t affect them! We love to hear the rain fall on them; reminds me of my metal roof on my house.
Shipped promptly. Easy installation. Seems to be a great lid
Worked well after painting it. Wish it was galvanized.
Looks like it will be a perfect fit, won't have to worry about the plastic rotting out anymore since this one is metal quality looks good, fast shipping thank you
Fits like a glove, way better than the plastic dome that was on it and ended up cracking and blowing away in a wind storm.
I purchased two flat metal vent covers for my 5th wheel as it sets outside in the extreme elements of the Arizona desert. Prior to me finding the metal vent covers at etrailer I would have to replace the plastic vents every year. Glad I found these vent covers. Get a couple for yourself and never worry about having to replace them again.

Perfect fit, easy install and most of all this item should not crack after 1 year of use like the plastic models and leak while on the road in a rainstorm. The only drawback is less natural light in the trailer but less light is better than ruined cargo due to water damage. This item should last the life of the trailer.
etrailer.com always gets your item to you promptly with great tracking options.
Has held up great! And fit perfectly so no more stressing over the sun or any weather messing it up or cracking it! Thank u.
Good vents, fit right and only one desire is that they were aluminum instead of galvanized metal. Eventually will rust so am giving a protective coating to further retard rust. Replaces my old 5th wheel vent covers; second or third time, now
will not have to worry about having to replace again as with the plastic ones.
I purchased the metal dome replacement for my ventline trailer roof vent because the original completely crumble to pieces after two years. Like always Etrailer shipped extremely fast, parts were packaged superb, installation was extremely easy and well documented with lots of instructions and the fit and finish was by far better than the originals. etrailer is the best!!
Sturdy replacement unit for the money. Not as fancy as the plastic domes but I think it will hold up to the weather much better and longer.
Just what the doctor ordered!! Needed to replace the two old cracked plastic vent covers on my 1982 vintage Alaskan camper with more durable lower profile alternatives to better fascilitate the use of the boat/canoe rack and to stand up better to heavy snow
loads. The BV0534-00 worked equally well on both the original DTS
unit and the newer Elixir replacement unit and will undoubtedly hold up to the elements much better.
These metal vent covers were purchased to replace plastic covers on motorhome.
Easy to install. Did have to hammer dimple in one to clear vent fan motor in bath.
metal covers are lower profile than plastic. Have not had any condensation on inside of covers which was a problem with plastic in high humidity.
Perfect replacement for my cargo trailer. UV light disintegrated plastic dome and this one fits perfect in it's place. Took less than 5 minutes to install.
