Video Transcript for Replacement Dome Assembly for Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent Spec Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Ventline Replacement Dome Assembly in white, part number BVD0449-A01. It's also available in smoke, part number BVD0449-A03. This is going to be a direct replacement for the lid on your model number V2092, V2094, V2119 and V2128, Ventadome Roof Vents. It has the same web shape and it's made out of the same polypropylene material. Over time your lid may crack, break or fade. We're going to show you how to replace it. Now of course this will be in your RV, but for demonstration purposes, we're going to show you right here.

We'll flip it over and this will be as if we we're looking up. First thing we want to do is go ahead and remove the screen. We've got these little tabs surrounding it. We can actually just push those out and begin taking it off. All you're going to need for this job is a Phillips-Head screwdriver. Let's go ahead and take off the knob.

Once we get that screw loose, we can actually just pull up on the knob just like that and set it aside. For our tray here, we just need to push in on each side inward. We've got some teeth that we need to get around, but then it should just pop right on out. You can see the two teeth here. Then we've got our switch. If you'd like you can disconnect it, we're going to leave ours attached.

The other two wires here will be connected to your power in your RV. Then we can grab our Phillips-Head screwdriver again and we're going to remove our arm assembly. Now we'll need to take these screws all the way out. With those loose, it's going to allow us to remove our arm from our lid. We can just slide it off like so and just kind of leave it set there. Then it's going to allow us to remove our lid from our vent assembly. Now this portion will be on top of your RV.

You can actually lift up on the non hinged end of the lid all the way up and then take it off. We can grab our new one. We'll locate the hinge side, go ahead and turn it over, line it up and then turn it over like so. Now we can go back inside of our RV. Back here on the inside we can reconnect our arm assembly. We'll just need to slide this on to the portion right here just like that and then position it over our holes. I've gone ahead and reinstalled my other components. Let's go ahead and test it out. I'd say it's working pretty good. That's going to complete our look at the Ventline Replacement Dome Assembly.

Replacement Dome Assembly for Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - White - Wedge Shape - Plastic - BVD0449-A01

Average Customer Rating:  4.8 out of 5 stars   (519 Customer Reviews)

Replaces the white, wedge-shaped, polypropylene plastic cover on your Ventline Ventadome RV roof vent.

by:

The replacement vent window cover fits and functions perfectly, the only reason there are 4 stars is because there were no guides or directions on installation and it was cumbersome to learn on the fly while kneeling on the roof of the trailer.

by:

Exact match to replace damaged bathroom dome on Arctic Fox truck camper.

by:

so far good I haven't installed yet however it looks like the permit fit, I had to also order the handle today so I will need to wait until it arrives

by:

Easy replacement, works great. Old dome wiped out by a hail storm.

by:

Perfect fit and easy installation.

by:

I bought this to replace my crumbling and cracked vent on my 20ft car hauler encased trailer. It was a direct fit and easy to install.

by:

After a year they are working great. Easy to operate and screening as good as new. Trailer is stored outside in AZ so it sees lots of weather.

by:

I received the vent covers in a timely manner and the quality of the product is excellent.

by:

I initially ordered parts on Amazon but they didn’t fit. I found my go to in strainer for camper parts now. Yay!

by:

Fit perfect! Was just what I needed. There was even a video showing how to install. It even shows other related and parts that connect to the part incase those may be needed as well.

11/04/2022: We survived hurricane IAN in Florida, but not without some damage. Along with a number of other things, two vent lids on the RV were ripped apart and destroyed. I ordered replacements from etrailer They were the exact replacement and fit perfectly. Our eighteen year old grandson climbed on top of the RV and made the replacement for me. We watched the video on the web site first. It was easy, with one exception. As mentioned by other reviewers, there is a clip on the hinge that must be removed for the installation. FYI, this isn’t mentioned in the video. The grandson went up with a pair of pliers to address the clip, but that doesn’t work very well, a flat tip screw driver worked easier. Once the clip was out, the replacement was a snap - exactly as the video showed. Here are a couple of pics from the interior as he was doing the work, and a final photo of the finish.

by:

Received my parts in 16 hours via UPS. Had them installed in less than a day from ordering. That's service! Kim is a rock star on your end, very helpful and knowledgeable

by:

Replaced my old, cracked vent cover on 2010 Keystone Bullet. Exact fit. Fairly easy to install. Just ordered another to have on hand . Happy customer.

by:

"Universal vents" don't always work. I ordered one by mistake from that giant online storehouse—realized I needed this specific model and it was not offered there. Etrailer had what I needed and also had the dome seal (BVD0455-01), which I also needed. Products were exactly as advertised and with the installation videos (also on etrailer) for the EXACT model ordered, installation was simple. Before and after pics included in this review (previous vent was damaged in a recent hail storm).

by:

Product arrived on time. Great service and quality product.

by:

Good price. Works as promised. Relatively easy installation.

Product still works and functions well.

by:

Very fast shipping. And email follow up was great. Not many companies care about the customer makes the payment.

by:

The original dome vent on our camper had dry rotted (I accidentally poked a hole in it just by touching it). The replacement had clear instructions and installed without issues.

by:

Received in good shape. Haven't installed yet.

by:

Perfect fit

by:

Always great service and product

by:

I watched the install video, and it was very easy to install.
The old cover was discolored and very brittle, the sun is brutal on these components.

Judging by the photo you sent (thanks for that, by the way!), it looks like you have a pretty standard 14 x 14 inch roof vent. So to answer your question about the vent size, they are not all 13-1/4" x 13-1/4" as the sizes can vary somewhat.
