Is this right for you? Product Expert Adam Y says:
Yes, if you:
Camp more often in cool temperatures - the translucent lid will let in enough light to help keep your trailer warm
Just want something inexpensive and reliable to add a vent to your trailer or replace an old busted one
No, if you:
Need a faster way to open and close your lid in rain or high winds than using a hand crank or knob
Often have hail or drive under low-hanging branches - the cover isn't the most impact resistant

I used this vent to replace an older static vent in our high top camper van. The installation and instructions were OK, and the vent opening mechanism works fine. The issue is that the top cover is too flexible, and it always flapped in the wind. I purchased a replacement cover from [online company], which is thicker, stronger with more reinforcing ribs. It works fine. Overall a good product with a flimsy top cover.1413210

Looks terrific, as described. Only wish the done were a little less flimsy. The product fit & looks perfect however the plastic dome could have been a little thicker plastic1337199
I only ordered (or thought I ordered) the dome cover, not the entire vent assembly.1452896

Installed this vent into my Haulmark Transport 6'x12' enclosed trailer. Installation was easy, I cut a 14.25" x 14.25" inch hole between two crossmembers in the roof and dropped it in place. Because the roof on this enclosed trailer is so thin, I used a piece of 3/8" plywood so sandwich between the interior garnish and actual vent. I cut the same size hole into the plywood and left a 2" lip all around. I use 28 #8 x 5/8" stainless screws to hold it in place, pre-drilled with 1/8" bit. I then used roofing tar to seal the vent and put masking tape all around, leave 1" from the flange to ensure good coverage. I then removed the masking tape, leaving nice clean lines. Interior garnish is held in place by #8 x 3/8" galvanized screws.
Huge kudos to etrailer for carrying such awesome products for great low prices and offering super cheap shipping to Canada!150244
My truck build; I have developed, invented, a new kind of truck cap and also wanted to provide the best venting in the industry and this is why I wanted this product. Although it is a little flimsy it is easy to install and easy to use. And it adapts well for my use. My product (I hope to have available in good stores like Etrailer by years end) is a rigid, folding, adjustable (fits most trucks), one person on & off, and easy to store when off pick up truck cap or camper. See attached photos of my prototype build. Many have inquired to use it for their pets, for camping, and many other uses.420885
Learned my lesson, not to go cheap! I bought a $20 dollar vent online less a year ago, and the Arizona heat disintegrated it. I called Noah at eTrailer and he was fast, knowledgeable, and courteous. The new vent arrived within a few days and it installed in less than and hour without a problem. Most of the work is in the prep. If you've never done this before, follow the instructions in eTrailer's video, and you won't have any problems. If you need to trim the garnish ring, I snipped it vertically at either side of the corners and then bent the plastic, snapping it like tile or drywall. Easy-Peasy! I really like the smoke tint to, I can see the sky through it. Thanks for the suggestion Noah!699707

This vent was shipped fast and received within a week after. I was contacted by a customer rep to make sure I was satisfied or had any questions. Vent went in quickly and easily. Instructions were clear and I had no trouble understanding what was required. This was the first time I had done anything like this on my travel trailer and am extremely happy with the results. I would order from etrailer.com again in a heartbeat. Great product-Great customer service. Thank you, George J. 269918

Pretty solid to be so light weight, UPS beat the hell out of it in route. If it only came with a gasket like the original I removed :-( Fit and function Good, the original lasted 19 years and the plastic dome was still in tact with no leaks, the mechanism broke. 2 Tubes of Hi quality Permatex engine sealer and I hope for the best. I would be happy for 15 years of longevity. The old sealer was petrified from the UV and heat, came off like concrete. That gasket kept it sealed.... 183949

RTV Silicone makes for an excellent gasket material if you are mounting flat surfaces. Follow the perimeter all the way around, encircle the hardware holes, and attach the vent. Once it cures, it creates a gasket between the two surfaces. For extra waterproofing, you can come back with silicone caulk and cover the heads of the screws and run a perimter bead around the vent.

Products, VENTLINE roof vent for my FORD Econoline and WEATHER TECH window Deflectors, arrived in good condition. I needed to get some air to the back of the van, as it will be used for camping, think this will do the trick. Then I have been interested in trying out deflectors for a long time as well, wanted to be able to get better air circulation without the road noise. All contact was very positive and I would order from you again as well as tell others.
Installation will occure on June12, so will let you know how that goes. It was all a very good experience.

I replaced the old vent on a 1983 tent trailer. This vent is twice the size of the original one so there was some cutting and modification of my roof involved but the vent works great. I also got the loctite vent install kit that comes with the sealant and screws to install the new vent. It was a great help for a he install. My roof hasn't leaked since last year. 247938

Ventline product looks good and it works excellent. Very easy to use round turn handle for open & close of unit. If you need a vent with no fan would recommend this product.993420
Yes, the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent # V2092SP-29 would fit the roof of your 6 x 12 enclosed trailer and would do a great job to get rid of the gas fumes that are building up in there from your equipment.
I attached a review video for this product for you to check out also. view full answer...
The # V2092SP-29 that you referenced has overall dimensions of 16-1/2 inches by 16-1/2 inches. This includes the metal lip around the outside of the vent. This vent is designed to fit a rough cut hole of 14-1/4 inches by 14-1/4 inches. This is a pretty standard size for a roof vent and is most likely what you have so it should work. But you will want to confirm by checking the dimensions of the roof of your cargo trailer.
I attached a review video for this product for you to check out as well. view full answer...
The Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent # V2092SP-29 that you referenced does not include a fan. The vent itself measures 14-1/4 inches by 14-1/4 inches which is standard for trailer roof vents. The garnish around the vent is the 16 inches by 16 inches and the metal lip is 16-1/2 inches by 16-1/2 inches. If these measurents match the style of vent you have then this will work for you. view full answer...
If the inner lip of the garnish is too long, I would recommend marking it where it needs to be trimmed and using something like a rotary cutoff tool. Make sure you have the garnish secured so that it does not move around when trimming. The edges will be sharp after trimming the garnish so I would suggest using sandpaper to smooth the edges that have been trimmed. view full answer...
The # V2092SP-29 vent you referenced is designed to fit in a 14-1/4 by 14-1/4 inch rough opening, which is typical of the square vent assemblies we offer. If your rough opening measures 14 by 14, you will find that the vent fit would be extremely tight and the opening would need to be enlarged slightly. view full answer...
Several things will determine the correct replacement vent dome lid.
The manufacturer of the vent
The size of the vent
The location of the lift mechanism (on the side of the vent or in the center)
The configuration of the hinge, continuous, three tab, etc.
Closely examine the vent and the lid, looking for the manufacturer's name or a model number. If you click the link showing our replacement lids, you can use the filters on the side of the page to narrow down the results according to... view full answer...
Nothing we have would fit the hole size in your trailer, but if you would be willing to enlarge the hole to 14-1/4 inch by 14-1/4 inch you could use the part # V2092SP-29.
I attached a review video for this roof vent for you to check out as well. view full answer...
What you described does not sound like a vent system that we carry since none of our vents have tabs that protrude up on the corners.
The best solution I could provide for you would be to replace your vent with one that we carry as long as the hole for the vent of your trailer isn't better than 14-1/4 inch by 14-1/4 inch.
The # V2092SP-29 would work great view full answer...
There are many different replacement cover styles for vents, so you will need to determine what specific hinge style you have. I've attached a photo to assist and have linked the page to your many options.
I'm not sure what you mean by frame. If you need the entire assembly, we have many options to choose from like the manual lift Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Manual - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - Smoke # V2092SP-29. We also have powered fan manual lift, power fan powered lift and... view full answer...
The Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent # V2092SP-29 will fit your trailer that has a 14 inch roof opening. Worst case scenario you'd have to open up the opening on your roof a little bit but even that most likely wouldn't be necessary. This vent is designed for that standard roof opening size that's between 14 and 14-1/4 inch square. view full answer...
The lid for the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Manual part # V2092SP-29 is a translucent "smoke" color. Our photos are taken in a studio with bright lights and it looks like the light was shining through the lid which made it look blue but it is black. I have attached a video for you to get a better look. view full answer...
Since we aren't going to have any replacement covers or vents for a 13 inch by 13 inch roof vent hole the best option we can provide would be to open up the hole to 14-1/4 by 14-1/4 inch and install the # V2092SP-29 in it's place. view full answer...
From my research it looks like you have a 24" x 24" Ventline exit vent. We do not carry exit vents only roof vents which are much smaller compared to your existing opening from my research.
If you needed a roof vent, you could use the standard Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent # V2092SP-29 but you would most likely need to cut a new opening size of 14-1/4" wide x 14-1/4" long to install it. view full answer...
That part number matches a Ventline Ventadome roof vent like the part # V2092SP-28 which has a white lid or part # V2092SP-29 which has a smoked lid. view full answer...
I do have a solution, but we do not have any vents that will fit your dimensions. I recommend enlarging the hole slightly and installing the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Manual - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - Metal # V2110SP-24. We also have an option with a smoke lid # V2092SP-29 and white lid # V2092SP-28 available as well. view full answer...
Thanks for the photo. It appears you have just a standard manual lift vent, so my recommendation is to use the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Manual - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - White # V2092SP-28 or smoke colored cover # V2092SP-29. These vents use the standard trailer rough opening you have and will be an easy replacement as well as basic upgrade.
Either option will fit in the same rough opening as your current vent and I recommend using the Installation Kit # 344270KITW for your... view full answer...
Based on the dimensions you provided for a roof vent on your 2008 Hallmark Trailer I recommend the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent # V2092SP-28 which is a manual lift roof vent with a white lid for a 14"x14" opening. If you would prefer a smoke lid instead you can use # V2092SP-29.
To complete the install I recommend the Roof Vent Installation Kit # 344270KITW. view full answer...
I have a replacement option but you are correct that we do not carry any 12x12 vent lids.
The 12x12 vent lid is an odd size that is difficult to find replacement lids for so I recommend changing your vent to the more common 14x14 vent like the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent # V2092SP-28 that has easy to find replacement parts to make life easier in the future.
The Ventline Ventadome # V2092SP-28 has a white lid, but if you prefer a smoke lid you can use # V2092SP-29

The smoke and white covers that are on the Ventline roof vents are both going to let quite a bit of light into the trailer. However, due to the translucent nature of the smoke covers they would let more light in.
Both would last about the same amount of time. One has not been shown to stand up to the sun better than the other.
For a smoke version of the part # V2094SP-30 that you referenced you would want the part # V2092SP-29. view full answer...
We do have a large selection of RV vent assemblies available, most of which feature the standard 14 inch x 14 inch measurement, which refers to the rough opening size. If the 16 inch measurement you mentioned in your question is by chance being measured from the outside of the garnish, these options may work well as replacements.
For example, the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent (without fan) # V2092SP-29 fits a rough opening size of 14-1/4 inches wide x 14-1/4 inches long, however... view full answer...
Only solution we have would be to replace the roof vent with the part # V2110SP-24 which has the lower vent lid like what you are looking for as there isn't a lower profile lid that fits the # V2092SP-29 you mentioned. view full answer...
The Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent part # V2110SP-24 has a metal lid. It has the same internal components as all of the Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vents such as part # V2092SP-29 which has a plastic lid. The only difference is the lid. view full answer...
Yes both of the vents you mentioned # V2092SP-29 and # V2094SP-34 can fit the rough openings of your RV that is 14-1/8 by 14-1/4 inch. view full answer...
For a replacement trailer roof vent cover you will want to measure the vent itself. For selecting a new vent assembly to install in the trailer you will want to measure the dimensions of the roof opening.
Most often square-shape trailer roof vents are 14 x 14-inches in size and fit into a roof opening of 14-1/4 x 14-1/4-inches. Examples of this popular vent size are the Fan-Tastic Vent fan-powered vent # FV801250 and the non-powered Ventline # V2092SP-29.
