Today were reviewing Part Number CAM39072 from Camco. This is a dual flush adapter for rinsing your RV holding tanks and sewer hoses. The bayonet end here, you can see the bayonets, gets fitted to the holding tank. You should have a lug fitting on the holding tank. This is a lug fitting. You see the studs here.
You should have that on the holding tank, and then you fit the bayonets here around those lugs so you have a tight fitting. The other end gets attached to the sewer hose. Heres your lug fitting on that. You use the bayonet fitting on the sewer hose and attach it here to these lugs. Now youre hooked up.
You take this black vacuum breaker that comes with it and you attach the larger end to your water faucet. The smaller end here is for hooking up your garden hose. So youve got this attached to the water faucet, and heres your garden hose here. Well use a finger here just to picture it. Theres the garden hose here.
The other end of the garden hose is attached to this valve on the adapter. Then the other valve is for control. Right now its in the off position, and you can tell because theres an arrow here with the word off on it. You line that up with the blue line. If you want to flush out your hose, turn that valve to the arrow that says hose on it.
If you want to flush out the holding tank, turn the valve to the arrow that says tank on it, and line that up with the blue line. Then you turn your water on and through this vacuum breaker into the garden host and into the adapter. That creates a powerful spray, like a jet spray, thats going to work to clean out your holding tank or your hose whichever youre doing. This vacuum breaker, the purpose of this is to present siphoning. That obviously is a desirable feature. You can hook this up to any garden hose, and its an easy way to clean out your holding tank of the hose itself. The Camco Dual Flush Adapter works just OK. The problem is the orifice for the fresh water to flush the tanks is too small and doesn't allow much pressure or volume of water to do a complete job rinsing the holding tanks. The dual function which is supposed to help rinse the sewer hose is a wasted function as the grey water tank and subsequent rinsing of the grey tank always rinses out the sewer hose.
I had one of these that was so old it started to leak. Liked it so well I wanted another one. I found one at this company. The order went out same day as I placed it. I took the cheapest shipping (just a few dollars) so the delivery was about a week or so, BUT, etrailer.com kept me posted on receipt of my order, when it was shipped and when it arrived at my house. The price was right, the shipping service was great, the response from the company was great. They did everything they said they would do. Very pleased. Good Company!
Lets me see when the holding tank is completely rinsed when used in conjunction with the OEM flushing system on our new Coachmen Travel Trailer. The hose connection does a great job of rinsing the sewer hose.
Just what I needed, only use trailer on weekends and wanted to keep tanks cleaned all the time.
No more guessing, This adapter is a great tool, I know exactly when my tanks are clear.
