Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and, today we're gonna take a brief look at this Rubber Window Edge Weather Strip for RVs. If you are needing to replace your old and worn out weather stripping around your RV windows before water damage creates a costly headache, this might be just what you need. This window edge weather stripping keeps water from leaking in around your RV windows, it reduces noise from wind and vibration, and it's often used with the outer window weather stripping that is sold separately, but I am including that item number for that weather stripping on your screen, just pop in that item number in our search field on our website here at etrailer.com, and that will take you to that outer window weather strip. Now, this is going to be an easy installation, you're just gonna press in the weather stripping into the gaps between the glass and the retaining metal frame. A tucking tool is recommended to ease the installation, and that is an item that is sold separately, and then you just simply use your scissors to trim the extra seal. Now, this is made in the USA of EPDM dense rubber that won't shrink, crack, or fade over time, so it is very durable, and I think it's gonna be very long lasting, and it is also resistant to UV damage.
Now, this is a 12 foot long strip, and just to give you some other additional measurements here, this is going to be right at, looks like a quarter of an inch wide, and right at about half an inch tall. Now, again, this is for a 12 foot long strip, we do also carry this in a 20 foot strip as well, and you can find that on our website using item number SR43FR, and instructions are included with this weather stripping. Well haven’t used the weather strip yet still have it going to keep it if it starts leaking , found the metal band that holds the rubber in place has metal screws all around the band all of them were loose it pulls the rubber against the window loosen all of them more put silicone around the rubber and window hasn’t leaked a drop yet need to tighten screws like tighten a head gasket staggered don’t pull rone side completely down rotate every screw hasn’t leaked back yet
Did the job & no more leaking
This part was a great replacement for my window molding which was allowing dirt and water to enter the RV from the outside. Product was used on a 2007 Fourwinds Windsport.

After having several "professionals" try to fix the window leak in our RV, I decided to try it myself (the old adage, "if you want something done right, do it yourself."). My first problem was finding the weather strip needed. After trying several camper places & Amazon, I remembered etrailer. I have old aluminum framed windows on my 42' boat. Looked everywhere to find replacement weather stripping as the original was cracked and missing in many places creating leaks in heavy rains. This was a perfect replacement and sealed all the leaking windows perfectly. Fairly easy to work with, just takes a lot of manual manipulation to get completely seated. Highly recommend!
Once I learned to bend the curved side in the middle, slip under outer lip and then press in, it went well. Behind the awning I needed help. I had my husband hold down the bent curved side, while I worked a BDF 2EQ Equalizer tool behind the awning, to push the weatherstrip in place. Happy it won't shrink!
