Swagman Around the Spare Deluxe

This convenient rack carries 2 bikes on your RV and provides clearance for a spare tire. Its sturdy steel construction has a black powder coat for corrosion resistance.

Anti-Sway Cradles

Swagman Around the Spare Deluxe Anti Sway Cradles

The anti-sway cradles rotate and slide along the dual arms to perfectly position your bicycles, reducing the need for a bike adapter bar. The cradles include durable rubber straps to hold your bikes firmly in place on the rack. Because the cradles secure each bike at three places (twice along the top tube and once along the seat post or down tube), rocking back and forth is virtually eliminated, preventing bike-to-bike contact.

Removable Pins

Swagman Around the Spare Deluxe Removable Pins

Removing one pin on each side of the rack allows easy access to the spare tire by removing the upright bars from the base of the rack.

U-Bolts

Swagman Around the Spare Deluxe U-bars

The rack installs on your RV with U-bolts that are designed to clamp around a 4" to 4-1/2" continuous welded square bumper.

by:

Fast delivery. Looks exactly like the cataloge picture. Easy to assemble. We look forward to putting it to use.

by:

I AM RETURNING THE PRODUCT DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE WEIGHT LIMIT IS 70 POUNDS. MOST OF THE BIKES THAT I AM LOOKING AT TO PURCHASE IS AT 35 POUNDS OR GREATER.

by:

Fantastic! It could not have been easier to install. I now have a ton more space at the back of our truck as well as not having to fight to put the bikes in.

by:

Great customer service and we love installed the product very easily. We will be using it next week but don't anticipate any problems.

by:

Was very easy to assemble and put on our camper. It was up and functionable in just a few minutes. Very happy with the quality and like how it fits without having to do anything to it. Would recomend this product to anyone!

by:

just received the items, prompt delivery, quick and simple installation

by:

by:

Shipping was fast and product was as advertised. Easy to assemble and very stable. Mounted 2 bikes with no problem. Very impressed with this company and have orded again since this purchase. Great company!!

by:

Excellent customer service ... delivery and product ! Just waiting for Spring thaw so we can install on camper but expect not to have any problems. The delivery was most impressive. I think we had it 2 days after placing the order !

by:

Pleasure doing buisness with you. Recieved product in 3 days, installed that night. Look forward to using. Three local rv dealers, none had bike rack in stock. Thanks.

by:

Item came in good time. Was as advertised. Had it mounted on my 5th wheel within a half hour. Now anxiously waiting to go camping and try it out.

by:

Great stuff!! Good price, good merchandise at a FAIR price. Decent shipping rates, too. Friendly people who seem honest (a rare commodity these days). I ordered my bike rack and bar at 2:00pm on Tuesday and the whole order landed on my porch at 12:36 pm the next day. Probably a new record!!

Thanks, Etrailer folks!!

by:

Received item in a timely matter. Packaging and contents were well packed. Image on websight was a plus. Just wish there was a discount for military personnel.

by:

The product was shipped immediately. This bicycle rack was easy to install and very sturdy. We will be using it soon when we start our trek across the United States to see family and all of the sights in between.

by:

Just mounted this on my camper this past week-end. Installation was very easy and fast. Overall I am satisfied with the bike rack, but I am having to install longer hooks to hold my second bike on the rack. The tubing the bike is made of is larger than what the hooks that come with the rack will accept. This will be easily done by bending a piece of all thread rod and then cutting to length.
The service at etrailer was exceptional and I will be ordering product from them again in the future.

by:

Installed on the rear of my travel trailer in 15 minutes with one adjustabale wrench. Loaded two bikes just to test it. Worked great. Solved the problem of taking my canvas cover off the truck bed every time I carried the bikes on a trip. Received it three days after entering the order. Price is good for the rack.

by:

Excellent product - just what I was looking for!!! Although I pull my trailer with a pickup truck, using this rack is SO much easier for our bikes than putting them in the back with all of the other stuff........installed easily, looks great and most of all works !!!!

by:

I am very satisfied with the bike rack. Instillation was simple. The package had been previously opened and was missing 2 nuts but I had them in the garage. The product stated it would not fit on a bike with less than 18” between the seat and handle bar post but I drilled 2 holes in the top cross bar and set them on an angle as allowed in the instructions and they fit my mountain bikes with a cradle of 14”. I added a web strap from the tire support post, over the tire and around the bike cross bars to eliminate any swaying which did not appear to be a problem even before the strap. My 2 mountain bikes weigh 35.5lbs each and appeared very secure for a 700 mile trip.

by:

Terrible product as it sits too low on the bumper. I mangled a bike wheel backing up to a slight swale. The bike wheel was only six inches off the ground, the swale was seven. My bad for backing up without a spotter but the bike rack is not adjustable & therefore worthless to me.

Not the wheel, ugh! Yeah, if it was taller, it definitely would have helped. You know, part # LA-102 is a ladder mounted bike rack that is adjustable for height. I bet if you used this, you wouldn't have that problem again.

by:

So far - first trip out - we love it. Or bikes are a little different in design so it took some creativity to get them positioned on the carrier. The shape of the frame rests on the bike rack made this pretty easy, though. Definitely a plus.

Bike on!

by:

Good product, well made. Took me less than an hour to install. Have a small travel trailer, just me and my wife. We are both retired. Wanted to take bikes with us when we travel.Don't have a lot of room on the rear bumper so this was the best product for my needs. Pictures of the finished job included.

by:

This bike rack was a perfect fit on the bumper of our RV! It sits just outside our spare tire and is very sturdy and solid. Can’t wait to take our bikes on our next trip!

  • Bumper Mounted Bike Rack to Clear Spare Tire on 2019 Rockwood Roo Travel Trailer
The distance from center of hitch pin hole to edge of first upright arm on the # S64663 is 10-1/2 inches. However, the distance to first wheel hoop is only 8 inches. You may still be able to use this rack as long as you can slide your spare tire to either side (Fig 1), this is what most of our customers actually do and it's worked very well. The Swagman # S64663 is designed to be used on continuously welded, 4 - 4-1/2 inch tall, steel RV bumpers. If relocating the spare tire along the...

  • Bike Rack Solution Coleman Sante Fe Pop Up
I'd go with the bumper mount at the rear of the pop up. Between the trailer and the tow vehicle is a viable option but since some setups have limited clearance here it's harder to know for sure if that's a feasible option. As long as you have a 4 inch boxed bumper the part # S80501 would fit and work well to carry a couple bikes.

  • Could Hollywood Racks Sport Rider HR1450 Fit Gulf Stream BT Cruiser with Spare
The Hollywood Racks Bike Rack part # HR1450Z is rated for use behind a motorhome like you have. Whether it would fit with the spare or not really depends on where and how the spare mounts to the motorhome. I wasn't able to find pictures of the rear of your motorhome, but if the spare is offset to one side and the hitch is centered this would fit and work well.

The best bike rack solution we have for RVs like yours that have the spare mounted on the rear bumper is the Swagman Around the Spare part # S80501 which mounts around the spare and to the bumper like the name implies. The Camber you mentioned would not have enough clearance.

  • Options to Carry 2 Bikes on a Lance 1685 Travel Trailer That Has a 1-1/4 Hitch
I have a few potential options for you, but we do not have any 1-1/4" bike racks that are rated for use with a travel trailer. Your first option would be to replace your 1-1/4" hitch with a 2" hitch. This can be done a couple of ways. The first would be using a frame mounted hitch like the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13702 (for frames 18" to 51" Wide) or # 13703 (for frames 22" to 72" Wide). • RV Bike Rack Recommendation That Could Be Used When Towing Trailer As Well
I wouldn't recommend towing a trailer at the back of an RV with the bike rack # S80501 installed. A ladder mounted bike rack like part # LA-102 would be a better option as you would be able to raise it up higher if needed to clear the tongue of the trailer.

There are no adapters with dual receivers for 2-1/2 inch hitches that would work for this specific application. But there are other ways to carry bikes on the back of your motorhome. For example if your motorhome has a 4 to 4-1/2 square, steel, fully welded bumper you could use # S64663, # S80605, or # S80501. I have linked videos of all 3 of these bike racks for you. The Malone # MPG544 you'd referenced has a 400 lb tongue weight capacity, which wouldn't be enough capacity for the trailer's tongue weight and the weight of the bikes and the rack they're carried on. Couple that with the fact that using a dual hitch adapter like # MPG544 will reduce the tongue weight capacity of your Expedition's hitch by 50 percent, carrying the bikes between the trailer and the vehicle very likely wouldn't work. This Swagman RV and Motorhome Bike Rack, # S80501, has a space of about 13 inches from where the rack would bolt to your bumper to the uprights of the rack.
