Curt RV Bumper Hitch - 2" - C19101

Average Customer Rating:  4.7 out of 5 stars   (55 Customer Reviews)

The hitch was shipped and USPS lost the hitch in Memphis. After 28 days from the first item was shipped, I finally received my hitch after multiple calls to etrailer and USPS. The hitch is great, the shipping through USPS is not.

Looks great, easy installation

I hate to admit that the hitch has not moved one inch from where it was installed. Of course that may be entirely because the trailer it's mounted on has not either... I have no doubt it will perform perfectly when called upon to tow the the small aluminum row boat that will be attached to it. Thanks for the follow up and we'll be sure to keep you all informed of future adventures. RTC, Micheal/China Syndrome survivor.

Well made, excellent product.

Works great, tow my utility trailer with polaris razor behind my travel trailer

A quality bit of kit. My only problem is the burly box steel bumper on my 1990 LJ78 Land Cruiser is 2" X 4 1/8", apparently, not 2" X 4". So the nice bolts and nuts included in the package don't quite go through the holes at the top. I had to substitute thinner eye bolts. I'm pulling a very light canoe trailer with this, so I'm not worried about the loss in strength. If you have a real cross frame member for a bumper, as I do this is an inexpensive light towing solution. I would have rated it excellent if the bolt holes were somehow adjustable up and down.

Bought it for a heavier hitch for my 2000 Polaris Ranger 6x6 and it worked excellent. Just one minor adjustment and it fit like a glove. etrailer is the way to go, will be buying more from them for my new to me 2009 Ford E350 ambulance that I will be using as a tow vehicle for my travel trailer.

We had an interesting choice to make with our RV. We could either take the cargo carrier or the bikes. We wanted both, of course, and this hitch gave us that option.
We always check with first for any parts they might have to meet our travel needs.

etrailer makes ordering parts very easy - always impressed with customer service I get.

The bumper hitch is sturdy, and fit my 2" x 4" trailer bumper perfectly. it is a well built product and is very stable on the bumper.

Very nice specialty receiver for 2" Reese Hitch. Fits on 4" x 2" bumper stock - dimensions are spot on. Finish on surface and edges is smooth...nothing to catch or "bite" during installation!

Thank you

Just received this product, so haven't really used it yet. But wow, it is really built well. I looked at numerous similar products, and am really happy with my choice. Should give us years of great service. May be overkill for a bike rack on the back of our Takena Trailer, but will most assuredly give us peace of mind on our long road trips.

Wrong product - and no help from in rectifying the situation! I don't think anyone could use this product, and it's not clear enough in the information that it's for a tiny bumper - not a regular RV bumper.

Very good quality but I had to send back as I ordered the wrong bumper size. They were very helpful with making the return easy. I was sent a shipping text and sent it back. Just waiting for my refund. All items I have bought have been of good quality and not high priced. Very Happy.

Very sturdy. We use it to hold a bike rack on our trailer.

Used for a rear hitch on my 5th wheel to tow the jet ski trailer. Very sturdy.

Well made, easy installation, fast delivery.
instructions to follow no drilling required.

Great folks to do business with, can not go wrong using this company.

5 Star Service every time. I put my order in yesterday before noon and it was on my doorstep today before noon. I will recommend etrailer to everyone!!! Thanks Again!!!!

Arrived in a timely fashion. Even sturdier than I had expected. Fits my trailer bumper well. I am very satisfied with this product.

Easy to install and well built. Bigger than I needed to mount our current bike rack to our Camp Lite 11FK, but works great and it was simple.

The bumper hitch was what I was exactly looking for. Easy mount to the bumper.

Strong, well built, clean design, nice finish.

The hitch came on time. Etrailer stayed in touch with me. I am sure it will work great for pulling my flat bottom boat. Have to wait for winter to get over with.

Mounted to my trailer bumper so easily that even I couldn't mess it up. This is rare!

Heavy duty. Excellent price

Awesome heavy duty mount. Used on the back of our food trailer to hold a cargo box. Works perfectly

video information was a big help, it eliminated guesswork on my application. fit & finish were excellent & my parts arrived on time.
I will buy from etrailer again.

  • Bolt Hole Spacing for Curt Bumper Mount Trailer Hitch # C19101

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Trailer to Tow a Second Light Weight Trailer
We generally do not recommend towing a trailer with a trailer. It is illegal in many states, so you will want to check with the DMV in any state you travel through. Also you will want to check with the manufacturer of your fifth wheel to see if the bumper on your trailer is designed to support any additional weight due to its construction. Some fifth wheels are, and some aren't. That said, it sounds like you may have a 4 inch continuously welded steel RV bumper so you can use the Curt...

Good news! I can help you get the dimensions of the Curt RV Bumper Hitch. • What Size Frame Does Curt hitch # C19101 Fit
The frame of your travel trailer would need to be 2 inches wide and 4 inches tall for the Curt hitch part # C19101 to attach to it. I am not totally sure how you would be using the hitch so this is probably not something we can safely guarantee will work.

  • Does RV Trailer Hitch for 4" x 2" Bumper Allow Towing
You can use the Curt RV Bumper Hitch # C19101 to tow your trailer and Polaris Razor, but you do need to ensure you are within a number of capacities. The hitch itself has a 3,500 lb towing capacity and 350 lb tongue weight capacity so your trailer needs to fall within those numbers. Additionally, you need to contact the manufacturer of your toy hauler to ensure the bumper can handle towing as it may not be designed for that much stress. This could lead to a very dangerous situation for...

  • How Far is it From the Mounting Holes to the Receiver on Curt RV Bumper Trailer Hitch 19101
I went out to the warehouse and pulled Curt RV bumper hitch # C19101 to take the measurement you need. • Can the Curt Bumper Mount Trailer Hitch # C19101 be used Upside Down
You can certainly use the Curt Bumper Mount Trailer Hitch, # C19101, upside down. I spoke with my contact at Curt to see if there were any restrictions or further limitations by using this hitch upside down and he told me that you will have no problem using it that way. The capacities of the hitch will stay the same and you can gain more ground clearance for your cargo carrier (which can be a big deal at the back of RVs and trailers).

  • Can Curt RV Bumper Hitch C19101 Carry Dirt Bike Carrier that Weighs 350 lbs
You'd be at the exact weight capacity of the Curt RV Bumper Hitch part # C19101 but based on what you mentioned yes the hitch would have the capacity needed. You would need to verify the bumper of your trailer is rated for the 350 lbs and that your carrier is rated for the rougher ride quality at the rear of travel trailers though.

  • Distance From Top Mounting Holes to Top of Curt RV Bumper Hitch C19101
We were able to measure the distance for you from the top mounting holes to the top of the very top of the Curt RV Bumper Hitch # C19101. As you can see by the accompanying diagram, the distance from the bottom of those mounting holes to the top of the hitch measures 1-1/8 inch so you will have enough clearance for the hitch to be installed without any interference. I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well of the Curt RV Bumper Hitch # C19101.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch For Jayco Hayfeather X17Z Trailer
A spacer may be used to take up the gap you would need, but with your bumper at 4-3/4 inches tall, it would prevent part # C19101 from being installed on it because the distance from the tube to the mounting holes measures 4-1/16 inches. I do not recommend drilling into the bumper to accommodate the mounting holes for part # C19101. I recommend the Curt Adjustable Hitch, part # 13703 as long as the width of your trailer frame is between 22 and 72 inches. I have attached a link to an...

  • Hitch Recommendation for a 2005 Jayco Feather 26BH Travel Trailer
A spacer could be used to take up the extra bumper width you would need, but the fact that your bumper is 4-1/2 inches tall would prevent the # C19101 from being installed on it as the distance from the tube to the mounting holes is 4-1/16 inches. The best recommendation I could give you would be the Curt Adjustable hitch part # 13703 as long as the width of your trailer frame is between 22 and 72 inches. I looked up pictures of your 2006 Jayco Feather Sport 17 ft trailer and I couldn't find any pictures of a rear square bumper. • Can a Trailer Hitch be Installed on a Dune Buggy
We have several different universal-type of hitches but none specifically for 1-1/2 inch steel tubing (which I assume is round tube). The best solution for you is going to be to have a receiver tube, # E-9, welded onto the tubing by a professional welder. It would probably take about 5 minutes to weld on and I am certain they would not charge much for this installation. Welding services can be found all over.
