Replaces the electric steps, motor, and control unit for your Kwikee 32 series RV steps. Motor and control unit automatically extend and react the steps when you open and close your door. Wiring pigtail hardwires to your RV's power.
Features:
Specs:
Note: This step assembly includes the steps, motor, and control unit only. The steps will operate automatically, extending when the RV door opens and retracting when the door closes.
If you want the complete step assembly that also allows you to override the automatic retraction so the steps stay out whether the door is open or closed, you will need a switch kit. The complete assembly with steps, motor, control unit, and switch kit is available under part number LC372261.
The included 4-way plug fits into the existing wiring harness on your RV. Most vehicles should have this wiring already set up. In the event that your RV is missing the wiring, a 4-way pigtail is included to help you hardwire the unit to your RV.
The Kwikee steps include several safety features in an effort to prevent injury to you or your passengers and damage to the RV steps. If an obstruction is detected while extending, the steps will halt and retract back into the stowed position. The steps will also retract when you turn on the vehicles ignition, even if the automatic retraction override has been activated, in case you forget to stow them before driving away.
Will Kwikee Electric Steps Work for You?
Electric steps are typically installed on RVs and some travel trailers. The electric steps from Kwikee install and fold up underneath the camper for simple storage. To ensure you choose the correct size for your application, there are a few measurements you will need to take.
The Kwikee electric steps attach to the underside of the camper chassis, directly beneath the doorway. To decide which size you'll need, locate the space available underneath your camper that lines up with the doorframe, and measure the width and depth. You will need a mounting space that is at least 25-1/2" wide and 11-3/8" deep.
If it turns out you have more or less space beneath your doorway, there are other step assemblies available with bracket sizes ranging from 24-3/4" wide to 37-1/4" wide. A full list of the available steps is below.
Outriggers - metal brackets that act as an extension (LC301704 - sold separately) - may be needed for installation depending on the model of your original stairs. These provide extra length if the old steps are longer or wider than the new.
Once you know where the mounting bracket will go and what size mounting bracket you need, that spot will be used as the "mounting point" to determine how many steps you will need.
How Many Steps Do You Need?
To decide on how many steps you'll need, measure from the mounting point to the ground. This is called the entry height. The entry height should roughly match the height of the steps when they're fully extended, plus 6" to 8" to account for the drop from the bottom step to the ground. This measurement will also tell you how many steps you need.
The chart below displays mounting bracket widths in the first column and entry height measurements in the second column. The third column shows the corresponding part numbers. Use the mounting bracket width and entry height measurements you took to determine which part number will fit your RV. Choose the bracket size that is closest to your measurements without going over.
This page's step assembly is in bold text.

Replaces the electric steps, motor, and control unit for your Kwikee 32 series RV steps. Motor and control unit automatically extend and react the steps when you open and close your door. Wiring pigtail hardwires to your RV's power.Delivered to eastern Canada in no time, I installed alone in an hour, the connectors fit perfectly, worked the first time around, highly recommended and at a good price
Outstanding customer service thank you. We were sideswiped on the NJTP last week and it took out our steps and fender. Your team got me the right steps and they fit and work as they should.
I would give a 5-star rating because of the service I've received from etrailer but the Step does not work when wired properly when the door closes the step goes out when the door opens the step goes in we had to reverse the wires on the sensor now it works but it's not the way it's supposed to be I do not believe this to be an e trailer issue however it is frustrating. E trailer has always provided top notch service so i wasn't sure how to rate this. I also tried changing the brain on the step but no difference. Another note is my old wire plugs on my motorhome were corroded so had to cut them off and direct wire so didn't think it was worth the hassle to try for warranty

It sounds like you needed to replace the switch with the steps. The older steps had a closed switch and the newer ones have an open switch. If the switch is not replaced, the steps will work in reverse. You need part # LC369311.
Crap packaging allowed the stairs to poke holes in the box damaging the stairs. Very disappointing. These stairs were not packaged for shipping.
Got the steps today. Opened up the package to check contents. No damage to the steps but the vehicle side plug with pigtails was missing. Can't install the steps without it. Got on chat and talked to Ashley about the problem. She said they would send me the plug and email me tracking information. She referred to it as harness but the provided a photo which confirmed that what she was sending was the plug I needed.
The kwikee 32 replaced my steps on my 2007 tiffin allegro bus. All connections and bolt patters matched perfectly. These steps are heavy i used a jack to lift them into position for installation.
This product was a perfect fit from my original steps on my RV. The only problem I had was the weight trying to pick this up and aligned the bolts. At my age of 72 you can see why, once my daughter arrived myself and her raised the steps in place and everything went perfect. I would highly recommend this product also customer service went beyond advising me on the order from the purchase and arriving of the steps at my home.
They work great. The light is helpful at night.
Exactly what we needed for our motor home. received it in record time.
very pleased !
the product is very good and we have no more troubles at all
WAS VERY GOOD AND RECEIVED IT AS DESCRIBED AND LEAVES ME WELL SATIFIED.
Very good quality, good price easy to install.
I love my new steps! Very solid! I had to rebuild my entry step in my motorhome due to water damage. This actually made it easier to install bolt hole locations that lined up with the new step. The steps are very heavy but I used a short piece of wood and a pump up jack until I could align the bolt holes and insert 2 bolts/nuts to hold in place then removed the jack and lined up the other 2 locations. I'm a 65 year old woman and completed this project from start to finish 100% by myself. Was it easy? No, but obviously possible with enough ingenuity and patience. I also added steel angles to support the steps instead of just plywood that was originally in the coach. These are heavy duty steps, they don't flex under use and I wanted them to last which is why I reinforced the support system.
2004 Fleetwood Flair Class A RV. My original RV steps (Kwikee 903206001) broke. I reached out to eTrailer and Anna recommended a direct replacement part # LC379145. This included all parts: steps, motor, gear, light. It bolted right up and all the control wiring plugged right into the original harness. I am very please with the new steps and eTrailer staff.
Received step in timely delivery bolted it right up. Everything worked on step. But did have have a problem with the door switch. Not a problem with the step. After I diagnosed the problem every thing worked great. Highly recommend etrailer
Direct replacement for the steps on a 2010 Winnebago View 24J. No issues with the switch in the footwell, wiring harness connector, fasteners or direction of motion (opening the door opens the steps, closing retracts). Only a small adjustment was made to the mechanical stops when the steps are extended so there's even pressure against both stops. The unit is a little heavy so it was a 2 person job getting the old steps off and the new installed. Works just like the original.
This greatly increases the safety of my frequent entering and leaving my RV by providing safe sturdy steps to grade. Otherwise, each time manual steps are stowed, it's a struggle to enter the rig with no steps and vice versa.
The motorized steps were a perfect fit in my 1997 motor home. Wiring had been torn up on the old steps making it difficult to figure out the right connections to attach. The etrailer associates were very helpful in getting the right person to help me figure out what the previous owner had done to the wiring. I have recommended etrailer to other people because of the quality of the product and excellent help they were during the installation of the steps.
Some doofus (I won’t mention any names, cough, cough) ran into something and bent the Kwikee steps on my 2005 National RV Tropical all to hell. Of course in these days of bankruptcies (National RV in 2007 ??), obsolescence, etc., etc., I expected the worst when beginning research for a replacement. But etrailer came to the rescue! I had the obsolete p/n 903206000 and you provided the new p/n LC372261- but even better news is that you have the Kwikee steps in stock! What a relief! I ordered the steps on a Friday afternoon and they arrived in Ca. the following Tuesday. Wow. An easy plug & play installation, but as they weigh 60lbs and I’m an old fart now, an RV repair joint supplied the muscle replacing them - thus my avoiding a trip to the E.R., or worse. The only thing I would suggest is perhaps Kwikee adding some additional packing for the steps’ scissoring arms side to prevent them from protruding through the shipping container like mine was. As the steps side is a large flat surface, that's not a problem. The steps are robust as all get out (did I mention 60lbs of steel?) and there was no damage. George J. is on my etrailer communications and I’d like to thank him for his quick support! You’d better believe etrailer is now bookmarked for my 18 year old coach.
Yes I received my new steps today they look great. The tracking info was great, the prompt shipping, the day I order it was shipped the same day. I love that kind of service. SINGLE STEP CONVERSION TO A DOUBLE STEP
1999 ULTIMATE FREEDOM 40' MOTOR HOME ( WINNEBAGO)
My coach had the single step 28 series, I order the 32 series two step. My coach always seamed like it needed another step. Very difficult when the airbags are in the normal or driving mode for my wife to get in and out of the coach. So I ordered the double step and I installed it today. The 28 series as a 22 inch by 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern the 32 series as a 22 inch by 8 inch bolt pattern. In which I knew when I order it. But when it got here the 32 series as bolt pattern for both 8 inch and 6 1/2 so I installed it set back about 2 inches to far back. So I drilled a 8 inch bolt pattern on my coach (very simply modification). After the slight modification to my coach it was a perfect fit. The bottom step is 8 inches off the ground, when the bags are fully deflated the bottom step is clearing the ground by about 1 inch. The single step 80 percent of the time was always to high. So I carried a portable step made for RV's. I will very seldom have to use it now. On the rare occasion if the step hits the ground on a steep incline then I may leave the steps in the close position and use the portable step. I want to thank again the staff at etrailer.com for the prompt service and the very good price, believe I shopped for a good price and your price was the best I found, thanks again. Very Happy customer
