Replaces the electric steps and motor that work with your existing Kwikee control unit and switch kit. Control unit (sold separately) or switch kit (sold separately) is required for operation.
Features:
Specs:
Note: This step assembly includes the step and motor only. For the steps to work, you will need either a control unit, a switch kit, or both.
If you want the complete step assembly that allows the steps to automatically extend and retract with the RV door, you will need a control unit (sold separately). You will also need a switch kit (sold separately), which lets you override the automatic retraction, so the steps stay out whether the door is open or closed. The complete assembly with steps, motor, control unit, and switch kit is available under part number LC372261.
The included 4-way plug fits into the existing wiring harness on your RV. Most vehicles should having this wiring already set up. In the event that your RV is missing the wiring, a 4-way pigtail is included to help you hardwire the unit to your RV.
The Kwikee steps include several safety features in an effort to prevent injury to you or your passengers and damage to the RV steps. If an obstruction is detected while extending, the steps will halt and retract back into the stowed position. The steps will also retract when you turn on the vehicles ignition, even if the automatic retraction override has been activated, in case you forget to stow them before driving away.
Will Kwikee Electric Steps Work for You?
Electric steps are typically installed on RVs and some travel trailers. The electric steps from Kwikee install and fold up underneath the camper for simple storage. To ensure you choose the correct size for your application, there are a few measurements you will need to take.
The Kwikee electric steps attach to the underside of the camper chassis, directly beneath the doorway. To decide which size you'll need, locate the space available underneath your camper that lines up with the doorframe, and measure the width and depth. You will need a mounting space that is at least 25-1/2" wide and 11-3/8" deep.
If it turns out you have more or less space beneath your doorway, there are other step assemblies available with bracket sizes ranging from 24-3/4" wide to 37-1/4" wide. A full list of the available steps is below.
Outriggers - metal brackets that act as an extension (LC301704 - sold separately) - may be needed for installation depending on the model of your original stairs. These provide extra length if the old steps are longer or wider than the new.
Once you know where the mounting bracket will go and what size mounting bracket you need, that spot will be used as the "mounting point" to determine how many steps you will need.
How Many Steps Do You Need?
To decide on how many steps you'll need, measure from the mounting point to the ground. This is called the entry height. The entry height should roughly match the height of the steps when they're fully extended, plus 6" to 8" to account for the drop from the bottom step to the ground. This measurement will also tell you how many steps you need.
The chart below displays mounting bracket widths in the first column and entry height measurements in the second column. The third column shows the corresponding part numbers. Use the mounting bracket width and entry height measurements you took to determine which part number will fit your RV. Choose the bracket size that is closest to your measurements without going over.
This page's step assembly is in bold text.

Replaces the electric steps and motor that work with your existing Kwikee control unit and switch kit. Control unit (sold separately) or switch kit (sold separately) is required for operation.Steps seem to be very well made and work as expected
The steps came with decent timing, but when they arrived the box was damaged and on the back side of bottom step there was a slight bow in the metal. There was no stress crack so we are going to see if we can still use them. Other than that I felt that we had Good service.
Haven't installed yet...old and need help with muscle work. The sale was handled with considerate assistance and delivery was super quick. I will confidently contact you for any expert advice I might need during installation. Thank you
Right product at the right price!
Replaced a severly bent original series 32 step on a 2001 Dutch Star diesel pusher. Original step had a 7" hole pattern so I did have to drill two holes. Spliced the included motor connector to motorhome wiring & was able to use my old control unit. Looks great and works like new! No picture included cause of a snowstorm.
Was pretty tough to put on for one guy but I got it. I recommend getting stainless bolts. My old bolts were so rusted I had a hard time getting them off. The steps work great so far good and sturdy.
I was very satisfied with the process of getting new steps for my Bounder . The price was right , [ $100.00 less than other places ] The service was good . They must be very busy because it takes a while to get through . But well worth it since I was not in any big rush . Rachel is a pro .. Thanks
Exactly what I needed installed and working great thanks
Perfect exactly what we needed and you produced it. Thank you so much. We will definitely be buying more items from you.
Bolted right up and works perfectly!
I love my new steps! Very solid! I had to rebuild my entry step in my motorhome due to water damage. This actually made it easier to install bolt hole locations that lined up with the new step. The steps are very heavy but I used a short piece of wood and a pump up jack until I could align the bolt holes and insert 2 bolts/nuts to hold in place then removed the jack and lined up the other 2 locations. I'm a 65 year old woman and completed this project from start to finish 100% by myself. Was it easy? No, but obviously possible with enough ingenuity and patience. I also added steel angles to support the steps instead of just plywood that was originally in the coach. These are heavy duty steps, they don't flex under use and I wanted them to last which is why I reinforced the support system.
2004 Fleetwood Flair Class A RV. My original RV steps (Kwikee 903206001) broke. I reached out to eTrailer and Anna recommended a direct replacement part # LC379145. This included all parts: steps, motor, gear, light. It bolted right up and all the control wiring plugged right into the original harness. I am very please with the new steps and eTrailer staff.
Received step in timely delivery bolted it right up. Everything worked on step. But did have have a problem with the door switch. Not a problem with the step. After I diagnosed the problem every thing worked great. Highly recommend etrailer
Direct replacement for the steps on a 2010 Winnebago View 24J. No issues with the switch in the footwell, wiring harness connector, fasteners or direction of motion (opening the door opens the steps, closing retracts). Only a small adjustment was made to the mechanical stops when the steps are extended so there's even pressure against both stops. The unit is a little heavy so it was a 2 person job getting the old steps off and the new installed. Works just like the original.
Other than the fact there was no installation information at all, going thru the trouble shooting guide it was doable.Recommend doing an installation Guide as My MH had never had a factory step and it was a challenge, but the best product I have gotten since we had to start buying on line to get what you need. Thanks,
This greatly increases the safety of my frequent entering and leaving my RV by providing safe sturdy steps to grade. Otherwise, each time manual steps are stowed, it's a struggle to enter the rig with no steps and vice versa.
Delivered to eastern Canada in no time, I installed alone in an hour, the connectors fit perfectly, worked the first time around, highly recommended and at a good price
The motorized steps were a perfect fit in my 1997 motor home. Wiring had been torn up on the old steps making it difficult to figure out the right connections to attach. The etrailer associates were very helpful in getting the right person to help me figure out what the previous owner had done to the wiring. I have recommended etrailer to other people because of the quality of the product and excellent help they were during the installation of the steps.
Some doofus (I won’t mention any names, cough, cough) ran into something and bent the Kwikee steps on my 2005 National RV Tropical all to hell. Of course in these days of bankruptcies (National RV in 2007 ??), obsolescence, etc., etc., I expected the worst when beginning research for a replacement. But etrailer came to the rescue! I had the obsolete p/n 903206000 and you provided the new p/n LC372261- but even better news is that you have the Kwikee steps in stock! What a relief! I ordered the steps on a Friday afternoon and they arrived in Ca. the following Tuesday. Wow. An easy plug & play installation, but as they weigh 60lbs and I’m an old fart now, an RV repair joint supplied the muscle replacing them - thus my avoiding a trip to the E.R., or worse. The only thing I would suggest is perhaps Kwikee adding some additional packing for the steps’ scissoring arms side to prevent them from protruding through the shipping container like mine was. As the steps side is a large flat surface, that's not a problem. The steps are robust as all get out (did I mention 60lbs of steel?) and there was no damage. George J. is on my etrailer communications and I’d like to thank him for his quick support! You’d better believe etrailer is now bookmarked for my 18 year old coach.
