If you've ever stepped into a camper that has standard metal steps, you've probably felt that scary springboard effect that makes you reach for the handle. That bounce occurs because those pull-out steps never touch the ground. Fold-down steps have adjustable legs that steady the steps on the ground, so you can feel safe using them. Also, fold-down steps store behind your camper door, which means they aren't left out in the elements to rust or warp like factory steps.
But what makes these MORryde steps different from other fold-down steps, like the Lippert SolidSteps? The StepAbove has a couple advantages over the SolidStep.
First, the MORryde steps can be detached when you need park your camper in tight spots. If you have to park close to another vehicle in a storage lot, for example, there might not be enough clearance to deploy your steps. With SolidStep, this means that you can't deploy the steps and now they are blocking your entryway. MORryde steps can be easily detached by sliding the pins out of the floor hinges, which allows you to lift the steps out of the doorway so you can slip inside if needed.
Second, unlike the SolidSteps which have a solid backplate on the top step, the StepAbove has no backplates blocking the gaps between each step. This makes it easy to sweep the steps free of dirt and debris before folding them up in your doorway, so you aren't stuck cleaning up your entry after every hike or trip.
Fold-down steps are typically installed on travel trailers and 5th wheels. The fold-down steps from MORryde install inside your camper's door frame and lift up to latch into the doorway for storage. To ensure that you choose the correct size for your application, follow these 3 easy steps:
Step 1: Measure the Entry Height
Measure from the doorway threshold on your camper to the ground. For these steps to work, you will need an entry height between 30" and 33-1/2".
If you find that you have a smaller or larger entry height, there are other step assemblies that fit entry heights ranging from 25" to 42". (See table below.)
Step 2: Measure the Doorway Width
Measure from the inside of your door flange to the inside of the door flange on the opposite side. Your doorway will need to be between 23-3/4" wide and 26-1/4" wide for these steps to work.
If it turns out that you have a wider or narrower doorway, there are other step assemblies that fit doorways ranging from 21-3/4" wide to 30-1/2" wide. (See table below.)
Step 3: Measure the Threshold
Measure the rise of your threshold. The distance between the floor and top of the threshold must be between 5/8" and 3/4". If the height of your threshold is outside of this range, the doors may not close properly.
To allow room for the hinge plate, there must be a gap of at least 3/8" between the threshold and the bottom of the entry and screen doors. If the gap is too narrow, the doors may not close while the steps are down.
If, after taking your camper's measurements, you find that these steps will not work for you, use the table below to determine which part number you need.

Great upgrade giving better ground clearance while boondocking. VERY easy install. I also got the storage box to fill the void. Works great as well.

Good as new. This has been a great upgrade.
I was pleased to receive my steps. Everything was in the box and I had it installed in about 30 minutes. I was very impressed with the quality of the stairs. I normally like to see a product in person first but the reviews were pretty good. Very happy.

My steps are still working great and looking good. The quality workmanship was well worth the price and was very easy for me to install.
The steps are very sturdy which is what I was looking for. However, when installing (I had hinge 2) it tells you all the steps to take. When steps are lowered it tells you to make sure doors close. However it does not tell you to make sure doors close when steps are raised. So I got it all installed (very easily) but then went to close the door and door would not close. Hinge side of door the screen hits on the hinge of the steps not allowing closure. I tried adjusting the step hinge in different degrees but still could not get it to work. I ended up not locking that hinge into place and only having the hinge on the otherside keeping steps in place. Not a perfect solution but the only way I could make it work.

Still like how sturdy the steps are. I would like to find a solution to fix the hinge that I am not able to use just to feel a little safer that steps are not going to come loose in transit. But so far so good.
THESE STAIR ARE EXCELLENT BUT my door would not close- no way no how. The bottom of the door would require removing at least 3/4 of an inch to clear the mounting bracket. I tried moving into different positions but nothing helped. I was not willing to butcher my door to make the steps work. The door wouldn't ever properly seal again and it would have looked terrible. E-Trailer has been exceptional in the return process so far and I have nothing but good things to say about E-trailer. In fact, I've already ordered a set of quick connect steps from them. I've been buying since 2018 from etrailer and I will continue. Wish I would have snapped some photos to post but I didn't. Again--awesome steps--just didn't work for my application unfortunately. 2017 Pioneer DS310.
Love the steps but as a result of rough shipping, the steps had marks and scuffs on them. I'm willing to overlook these but ...your company may want to improve the boxing of the steps to prevent scuffs and dents. I had one dime size dent on the outside that is luckily facing the slide out. I notice on the bx before opening a large tear on that side .
At any rate...love the steps. Good quality so far.
e trailer customer service was outstanding. Their assistance with ordering the RV Steps as well as the installation was helpful. The Step/Above Steps are solid, providing support from the ground as well as the RV. The original steps on the RV were hung off the side without ground support and would bounce and flex as we entered or exited the RV. This movement created problems with balance. We now confidently and safely enter and exit our RV. StepAbove is a fitting name for this product.
I have bought several items with etrailer and it just doesn’t get any better. Great information on-line with full support and great service. Other businesses could learn from etrailer !!

Fabulous-Way above expectations !!
Direct fit replacement for the stock steps that were damaged. Etrailer had my order shipped within hours. I will use etrailer again.
The stairs arrived ahead of the scheduled delivery date. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Install took a couple hours of easy work. The stairs are solid and light weight. My wife and I are very pleased with these stairs. This is the best mod we have made and wish we had done it sooner.
Received it today and installed it in less then 20 minutes, great product and so much more sturdy then the old steps. I’m glad I didn’t stay with the traditional folding stairs, and shipping was quick, I received it 3 days earlier then the scheduled date it showed when checked out
Item arrived promptly and appears to be well-built. Trailer entry needed two modifications: cut out of inside threshold and shortening of the screen door to get over step threshold. Went pretty smoothly.
Awesome product! while shopping for my new travel trailer, I noticed these steps on a few brands other than the brand of trailer I purchased. These steps are the first upgrade to my 2022 Winnebago Micro Minni 2306BHS . They should be standard on all RVs! So easy to step into and out of the trailer without feeling like you are climbing all the time!

Simply the best add-on feature for my trailer!! Think about it, the entry steps are the most used part of any RV! Make them safe and comfortable!
Steps are awesome, etrailer customer service is excellent. Make sure you fold the end of the hinge pin underneath before screwing down. In the picture you can see how not to do it.
These steps have worked out very well. They were so easy to install. Great product.
Steps were very easy to install and feel like good sturdy steps. There was 1 fault, out of the box the bottom step was dented in on the bottom lip. Must have been when it was put in the shipping box or something. Nothing was wrong with the box when it was delivered. That was a little disappointing but still in usable condition. They are easy to use when deploying them and putting them away.
We love these steps! I'll never go back to spongy, slippery OEM fold out steps. I like the bottom step height adjustment method that Morryde uses, no pins! Easy install. I got the quick release hinge pin style so that the steps can be removed when there is no room to deploy the steps, but I've never needed to use it.
The videos of the MORryde steps were so helpful. Was able to install and use within 15 minutes! What a difference going from two wobbly steps to three solid stairs!
Great product. Solid steps were not hard to install myself. Instructions were clear. I needed some help on centering and latch adjustment. But thatat's just me. The isnstructions were there, I didn't read carefully. ( Wife is rolling eyes.) Would buy thiese steps again.

I had to order new steps for my 5th wheel after damaging my old ones. I had ordered a few products for the 5th wheel from etrailer in the past so I went to their website and found the exact steps I wanted at a good price and ordered them. They showed up less than a week later, super simple to install, no complaints at all. Thanks.
Great steps now that I got the right set. The people at etrailer were a big help. Morryde step above work well and are more solid then the old stock steps.

The steps are a great upgrade over stock trailor steps. My wife loves them because they are easier to navigate.
From the minute I took it out of the box including removing the existing threshold from the trailer it took me less than 15 minutes to install the steps and start using them.
This was one of the easiest modifications I have made to my trailer and I would highly recommend MORryde RV steps to everyone who has an RV. Furthermore the customer service reps are The best in the business keeping me updated on my shipment and following up after it has arrived. You couldn’t ask for a better customer care department. This 3 step ladder assembly appears well made and is very sturdy. With my wife just having had knee replacement surgery, this will make it much easier for her to get in and out of the trailer.
Installation was a breeze and was competed in under 30 minutes...

We are very pleased with this product. It provides good stability when entering or exiting the trailer. The only issue we have noticed is when we have the trailer in storage and the trailer next to us is parked too closely to allow the stairs down, but since these stairs are so well-engineered all I have to do is pull the two pins and the stairs come out easily. Great product!
