Video Transcript for WeatherTech Window Rain Guards Review
Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the WeatherTech Rain Guards. These are gonna be great for just kind of keeping the heat a little lower in your vehicle so you can kind of crack your windows and just allow a little bit of air flow without having a direct path into your vehicle. This kit's gonna come with both the driver and passenger side front windshield. So if you do want to do it for all of the different vehicles, just use our fit guide. It's gonna give you the list of them. You can either buy them just the front and just the back, or you can buy them all as a kit.
WeatherTech is gonna provide a little bit thicker rain guard compared to some of the other ones. I actually took off my OEM ones, which as you can see, very, very thin, very flimsy, and they started to crack over time. So these aren't gonna crack near as quickly as these did. Also a nice thing about these compared to the OEM ones, as you can see, all that glue and stuff. So these actually sat up top.
So it wasn't as near as aerodynamic as the WeatherTech. So this is gonna bring my wind noise down a lot, and it is very low profile. So you can see the difference between the one that goes on the inside of the little channel compared to the one right behind you, which is on the outside like I was talking about before. I like the look of the WeatherTechs better, and this is not as efficient when it comes to aerodynamics. So we're getting the same amount of benefit as the OEM ones.
We just get a better looking one. It's a nice dark tint, a little bit darker than these right here. And, overall, it's gonna add to the look of my car, which is kind of what I was going for. All of them install the same exact way, both the driver and the passenger side. So if you wanna see how quick the process is, stick around.
We wanna start with the front. So just make sure you have the right side. And this is gonna go in the channel that the window goes in. So roll up your window, see the little slot where it goes in, and that's where this is gonna be. So what we wanna do is start with the front. Get it kinda into that slot the best we can, like this. And then we're gonna have to slowly kind of bend this to get it up into place. We'll be kinda gentle with it, kind of lean it down, that seems to help a little bit, kind of go up like this. They say to leave a gap right here, once it kind of gets into place, then you wanna go into the driver's side and we're just gonna kind of roll it up, but we're gonna do it really, really slowly just to make sure that nothing really bad happens. So just roll up your window. You can see how it's kind of pushing out. All right. All right, so now it's at least bypassing the window. So now I have to do that a couple of different times. We wanna kind of hopefully take out that gap a little bit. Just by coming over, just pushing up a little bit like that. And then we're just kind of gonna go ahead and put it up and put it down about five different times, nice and slow. And five. So we're pretty much good there. Once that's done, you can do that same exact process on the other side. And that'll do it for our look at the WeatherTech Rain Guards..

I know and have used the product before. That's why I ordered it. The only issue is that I was originally told it would be delivered on the 28th of Nov. It arrived on Dec. 2nd. I always have a good experience with etrailer.

After a year out in the weather, there’s a very slight purple tinge to the rain guards. No big deal, still snug, rattle-free fit with zero issues or problems. The tint still helps dampen the bright CA sunshine. Would definitely buy again and still highly recommend these to anyone looking to get fresh air while keeping out rain.

When installed it was loose, called and you said it would seat in as it takes a few days to seat in. I ask if I should use double sided tape, the person I talked to said no need. A few months later the passenger side decided it wanted to go flying and that was the last I saw it. I called etailer and told them what happen, and they said to call Weather Tech. I did and was given the run around. These were on our motorhome and is not used every day. I only drive it every other month in the winter and maybe twice a month in the summer. I was told it had passed the warranty timeline. The driver side has stayed on because I used double sided tape to hold it on after I had lost the right-side rain guard. I asked for a supervisor of etrailer to contact me and that person never did. I have had good luck with etrailer and I'm sad that this happen.

Installed easy but had one small break near the top when installing. Also, I noticed the window motors seem sluggish at the last inch or so, though it does seems to seal well. I hope that will not cause any issues with the motors down the road.

I didn't know how much I would love these rain guards until I finally bought and installed them. Install is easy. etrailer shipping quickly. It's been a year and they have held up to the sun and rain, and look brand new still. They work GREAT. Highly recommend!

Great step and I was super impressed by the strength it has. I was rear-ended by a big F350 truck and this step went right through the F350's bumper and grill and cracked the engine block, and the step stool looks new hahaha.

Weather tech window deflectors were horrible. I wedged them in the window canal as it says but when closing the windows, they force the windows crooked and i was having to push up the window for it to close. I trashed them a week later after my wife was having issues with them. This doesnt fall on etrailer but horrible design on weather tech for my 2019 honda crv. I may have to order again using AVS brand eventhough i lost money!

Product was very sharp around all the edges, fitment was way off. Windows would not roll all the way up. I ended up throwing them out and purchased visors that you stick on with 3M tape. So far so good. Thank you for following up. Surprisingly the quality of Weather Tech just isn’t there anymore. Disappointed, do not purchase.

Excellent customer service! I prefer weather-tech and debated purchasing cheaper alternatives off [online vendor]. Glad I didnt. I chose actual weather-tech and etrailer. During a road trip my driver rear flew off during the trip. Likely due to the excessive heat in WY. I called etrailer ONCE! Just to see my options. Gwen drove the problem and took care of everything. Straightforward installation when directions are followed exactly. Installed them a few months ago, and they are performing well. In fact, they eliminated an annoying Honda CR-V whistle when the rear windows were rolled down at highway speed. The deflectors presumably changed the airflow just enough to stop the whistle.

Don't look to close. I think that products coming from a company that prides itself on custom fit, the fit would be better. The reveal along the top is very uneven. Instructions say to roll window up very slowly, right, power windows. First time up, crack, :( . Luckily the cracked piece is small and hidden.

This is my 3rd set of Weather tech side rain guards. I continue to have the driver's side stick most times. I know it is installed correctly to. It seems like the one edge is twisted some, and binding on the window. Not to happy this time with the quality.
