Hey today guys today we have the 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan, and we're going to take a look at and show you how to install these Weathertech side window air deflectors for the front and rear. Now this is going to be a great product to add to your Caravan. It's going to help deflect wind over your windows if you want to have them slightly cracked, even when you're traveling at high speeds. It's going to help with cracking that window, allowing some fresh air to get in and allow any interior heat to escape. Now they work great for those days where maybe it's raining outside, you can just crack the window a little bit, like I said let that interior heat escape and get some fresh air in there. If you have tinting on your windows, we have a dark tinting installed on our Caravan right now so that's going to just keep the tinting low, even if you lower or crack your window down that much. Now if you don't have any need for the dark tinting it's also available in a lighter tinting, just see etrailer.com.Now they're going to have a durable acrylic construction, so any type of road debris, you know, rocks or anything like that, that flies up, it's going to be able to take those impacts and hold up in all four seasons. Now these deflectors are going to do a great job of having a low profile look when they're installed. Doesn't add too much to your vehicle, still going to be aerodynamic.
It's going to allow you to roll down your windows down to the bottom of the deflector right there so it'll let interior heat escape while also getting fresh air in, and really cutting down on that wind noise as the air deflects over the deflector. Now here's everything you're going to need in your kit. It's a tool free installation. We'll show you how easy it is.Now we're going to install the passenger side, but the driver side's gonna install the exact same way. What you wanna do is just open up your door, roll down the window first. Then from here, we're gonna start towards the mirror.
We're gonna take this edge, make sure we feed it through, and you also want to make sure that you get this top right here to sit on top of the window frame. Just get it right up there in front of the weather stripping. Once you have that, just go on up, and then here we're gonna have to kind of bend the frame a bit to get it to slide up and in, but don't worry, the plastic's pretty durable. So we're just gonna come down. Once it gets in that track, then we'll just bring it back up.
Then just work your way back down feeding it in. And there you go.Now, from here we're gonna roll up our window to make sure that everything conforms and fits correctly. So we're gonna pull out on the side a bit. And as it comes up we're just gonna take it slow, let the window get used to having the deflector there. Just keep going pretty slow.
Now that cracking is normal. We're just gonna pull up a bit so it can fit itself in. There you go. Once it's all the way up just want to roll it back down. Then do this about five or six more times. Now before installing your rear deflectors, you want to make sure you remove this little yellow tape right here. That's kind of protecting the adhesive that helps your deflector stay up and in the window. But for demonstration purposes we're going to leave that step out.Now you want to make sure that you install the front of it first with this rounded edge right here. The other side is going to have this cut out edge, but you want the rounded edge to go up towards the front of the van. So we'll just put that up in the corner. We just want to bring this side down to where it can fit into the track. Then we're just going to push it up so we can get all sides of it in. Make sure you push up on all of it. And then we're going to roll up the window about five times making sure we get the deflector to fit in there. When it gets up towards the top, we'll just pull up on the deflector a bit so it can squeeze itself in there. Once it does that, go ahead and unroll it, then repeat this process four more times. Now once you've repeated this process for both sides you're ready to hit the road. But other than that, it's going to do it for our look and installation of the Weathertech side window air deflectors for the front and rear on our 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan.
