Heavy-duty tie-down straps pair quick-release action with a retractable design for easy loading and unloading. Any unused strap automatically retracts into the housing, and you can quickly release each strap by pushing a button. 3,300 lbs Max load.

Features:

  • Heavy-duty tie-downs let you secure cargo in your truck bed or trailer
  • Retractable straps automatically wind up into the built-in housings with the push of a button
    • Keeps excess strap from tangling or flapping in the wind
  • Ratchet mechanisms make it easy to tighten down straps and maintain tension on straps
    • Handles are easy to grip
  • Push buttons on ratchets quickly and easily release straps when you're ready to unload
  • Zinc-coated steel bodies are corrosion resistant
  • S-hooks have hardened steel cores to ensure that they won't bend or flex
  • Vinyl coating on S-hooks helps prevent scratches on your cargo
  • Strong polyester webbing

Specs:

  • Strap dimensions: 2" wide x 10' long
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 1,100 lbs
  • Maximum load (break strength): 3,300 lbs
  • Quantity: 2 ratchet straps
  • 90-Day limited warranty

Note: Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Outstanding design, makes tie-down easy as pie! No more pinched fingers and fighting ratchet release, push a button and you are done. No excess strap length to deal with, all contained in the retractable reel. I am throwing away all my old straps!!

by:

Mounted on my trailer andworks like a charm, I always know where there at and never an issue with be left out in the elements.
I just pull my Lawnmower, side by side,
quad runner or whatever I'm hauling and belt them down and when I get where I'm going disconnect walk around the trailer and hit the retract button, works like a charm.

by:

These are the easiest straps I have used. You can hook them up one handed and adjusts easy.

My experience mounting to kayak trailer:
3
photos
Very difficult to remove the stationary strap to use as a fixed device; bolted to the trailer (photos) The spring is very difficult to reinstall when you remove the bolt.
Also not enough room to put a wrench on bolt used to mount as a fixed strapping system.
I have not used these yet but will post a review at end of the season.
They seem well made and sturdy, but I did notice the spring is easily bent when trying to reinstall; not what I expected of a spring that would be properly heat treated.
We shall see.

We purchased two sets of two retractable tie down straps along with four recessed D ring tie down anchors for use in our lawn care company trailer. We also had to purchase a 3 1/2 inch hole saw used for cutting through the wood floor of the enclosed trailer. Once we positioned and installed the recessed D ring anchors we have found the Erickson straps securely tie down our 60 inch zero turn mower. We positioned the anchors so they can also be used to secure our 36 inch walk behind mower and on rare occasions our John Deere gator.

by:

These clamps save you Time when setting up and taking off. My trailer has 4 D-rings, and I use these straps to secure my heavy Z-turn lawn mower. I like the freedom to connect the clamp to the D-ring, then onto the mower. When I'm done, I box up the clamps and the D-rings. Clean and fast operation using these clamps.

Quality & Time Savings !! Clamps are working like a charm. I used these constantly for tying down the ZeroTurn Mower to my trailer.

by:

Love them! I've used ratchet straps for years. These are the easiest ones I've ever used. And when you undo them, they retract and store easy.
Highly recommend.

by:

Rugged and easy to use.

by:

Excellent product, no need to worry with access straps, I have purchase these several times before! Great quality product! Several friends have purchased them after seeing them in use!

by:

purchased a second pair of these easy to use and very strong Ratchet Straps. I previously purchase two and loved there ease of operation, the next two complete a thorough tie down of my Spyder RT

by:

This is a wonderful product. Handy and good quality.

by:

These things are junk! They worked one time and then I took them off and threw them in the trash!

by:

These are the best. Easy to use, easy to store, and just plain better!!

by:

Very pleased with the purchase. Much easier to use than the conventional ones.

Good quality at a fair price. I’m

They have worked very well as tie downs for trailer.

by:

Haven't used the ratchet straps, Checked them out by hand. My trailer has not been delivered yet. Also bought a trailer brake controller and adaptor. Sales person at e-trailer was very helpful and answered all my questions about if the adapter would fit a 2015 escalade. I didn't know if a new adaptor was available because of all the changes in the 2015 model. Price, delivery and assistance with my order was excellent. Thanks

Im very satisfied with all the purchases Ive made from trailer. The brake controller work perfectly between the truck and trailer. The straps have worked as expected and I have made several trips with my HD Trike In the trailer. It never moved. Just what I was looking for.. Deliveries came when promised. I just recently orders. A spare tire and wheel, took an extra 2 days to get here. We did have 2ft of snow that week, but it was ok, I wasnt going anywhere any way.

A major farm supply retailer whom I previously bought spring-loaded cargo straps from every year, discontinued selling Erickson straps, the best for frequent loading and unloading vehicles, due to their spring loaded rapid release. The retailer said the reason was that some people preferred the cheaper ones - which are only initially cheaper but take far longer to connect and disconnect. I told the store manager the straps he sells will cost me 50 times more money in constant wasted time with his junk straps and were almost useless to me. So, I found etrailer online which had exactly what I wanted and had prompt service. Thank you, etrailer.

As always, we are happy with the best straps around. Dan. P.S.Well order more soon.

by:

Used these for holding down building materials on a flatbed trailer. The retraction spring has broken on two of the ratchets. The other two are still working.
The straps tend to be on the short side for most loads but sometimes I hook two together to make it work.
I would give the product a fair to good rating

Strap itself are good quality materials. Ratchets are too complex and retractable spring is poorly made and stop working after a short time. If you use them once or twice a year, they probably work fine. However, I am a pro contractor and use straps every day. These ratchet straps lasted 2 weeks then the ratchets stopped working and the retractable feature quit after one week. Not something I would buy again.

by:

This is a great boat tiedown. No need to mount it to the trailer and therefore they don't get wet and rust. Easy to use and easy to install.

Great. They are very easy to use and they work!

by:

The Erickson Re-Tractable rachet straps are great. I have been using them for a year to transport lawnmower between multiple properties. I have not had any issues with them. I would purchase them again.

Over the past year I have used these rachet straps reguarly and have had no problems with them. I highly recommend them.

by:

I liked the service and the fact that you all kept me in the loop with the status of my order.

by:

My second set of these great tie down straps. Super convenient, these straps have all surplus strapping stored in the tensioner housing. Winding up excess straps is now a thing of the past. If you're tieing down equipment multiple time each day, you're going to love these straps. Super fast shipping, too.

Just wanted you to know that this is the third year Ive owned these straps my second set and I love them even more now than I did at first. These straps are such a time saver in our lawncare business. Tying down our equipment used to be a real pain, but not any more. I will continue to keep our trailers equipped with these straps as long as theyre available.

by:

The straps loosen during travel. I have hauled motorcycles for 20 years, never having ratchet straps loosen once they were tight, I almost lost a $18000 bike over the side of the trailer because the straps automatic tensioning released itself while I towed.
I then set these straps aside to only use for cargo and the same thing happened while I was moving some things.
Great idea, poor execution. There needs to be a locking mechanism to prevent the bouncing of the trailer from releasing the tentioner and allowing the straps to go slack. They are now 4 paperweights and I am back to using off the shelf non self retracting ratchet straps.

  • Retracted Length of the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps # EM34416
I went and grabbed a Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps # EM34416 from our warehouse and with it fully retracted is measured 20-1/2 inches from end to end. Generally when picking out a winch for a boat trailer the ratio is 2 to 1 meaning you would need a winch with roughly half the capacity as the weight of the boat. With good rollers and a short winching distance the ratio increases to 3 to 1, but with long winching distances and wooden bunks like what you currently have the ratio is...

  • Troubleshooting Red Release Button Not Releasing Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Strap
When using the red release button on the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps # EM34416 it takes more than a simple press of the button to release the tension. Make sure you get a firm grip on the ratchet when you press the button and then close the whole ratchet to release the tension. See the attached video starting at the 50 second mark which demonstrates this. If you have followed the video and it still isn't releasing, you may need to add a little lubricant like WD-40 if it is stuck.

  • Could the Erickson Tie Down # EM34416 be Used as a Boat Bow Tie Down
As long as the dimensions of the strap and capacity are compatible with your setup the part # EM34416 would work fine. These straps are 10 feet long and have a 3,300 lbs capacity. You would want to measure the distance between the two eye holes on your setup to see if 10 feet would be long enough. I attached a review video for this system for you to check out as well.

  • Why Do ATV Tie Downs Seem to Come Loose After Driving Down the Highway for a Few Miles
The Erickson Retractable, Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps # EM34416 will not loosen once tightened. The problem you are most likely experiencing is that you tighten your ATV down and then after a few miles the ATV has moved around slightly or settled due to the bumps from the road and now the tie-downs seem loose. This has nothing to do with the tie-downs loosening though.

  • Ratchet Straps to Secure Zero Turn Mower to Trailer
The Erickson # EM34416 Ratchet Straps you mentioned would be ideal. Each strap has a 3300 lb break strength or a 1100 lb safe working load limit. When both straps are used at the same time, there's plenty of capacity for your 1400 lb mower. I've used a shorter version of these straps in the past to secure some PWC's to the trailer, and they worked perfectly. You'll want to make sure that a 10 foot length will be long enough. Load the mower on the trailer, and have a helper hold the end...

Part # EM34415 has a working load limit (WLL) of 400-lbs while part # EM34416 is rated for 1100-lbs.

  • Is there a 10 Foot Long by 2 Inch Wide Retractable Ratchet Strap
For a 10 foot by 2 inch strap we have the Erickson Retractable Ratchet Strap, # EM34416. It has a 1,100 pound capacity for each strap but it is not a bolt on strap. It can be bolted on if desired as the base does have that capability but then you'd lose about a foot of length from that small strap with hook.

  • Measurement Of Retractable Ratchet 34413.
I pulled one of these from our warehouse and measured the length when the straps are fully retracted. They measure 12-3/4 inches from the end of one s-hook to the end of the other s-hook. If space is a concern the strap can be folded, putting the s-hooks under the ratchet. The measurement with the s-hooks folded under the ratchet is approximately 5-1/2 inches.
