Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Gorilla Retractable Ratchet Straps with S-hooks. These are one inch wide by 16 feet long, and they're rated with a safe working load limit of 500 pounds. They also have a break strength or a maximum load of 1,500 pounds rating. Now these ratchet straps, folks, are gonna be great for tying down stuff, securing cargo, such as like the bed of your truck or trailer or something like that. Now they are retractable straps, so they're gonna wind up into the built-in housing here, so let me show you that.
You simply loosen this guy and then this guy here is retractable. And if you tilt it a little bit higher till straight, that'll make it a little smoother too. So again, very simple design on that. It's gonna help keep the excess strap and that kind of stuff from tangling or just flapping in the wind and that kind of stuff. Now it does have a very nice ratcheting mechanism itself as well, so if you need to ratchet anything up, you could also do that as well.
And then again, that retractable part just makes it that much easier to work with and deal with. Now, zooming in, I wanna show you this thick polyester webbing. It's got a nice PVC coated edge. You can see that black thread on the edges as well. So just a little extra protection than some straps have.
It's gonna make it more durable, more abrasion resistant. Now zooming back out, you've got these safety caps on the end of these S-hooks. These safety caps are nice because how many times have you went to strap something down, you hook it over here, you try to run to the other side of the truck or trailer, this guy falls off Well, not no more. You put this on, put the safety cap on, now it can't come unhooked. Even if it gets a little loose, it's still there, and then you can simply tighten your strap down, pull it back in place, and then you're good to go.
Now those S-hooks as well, I got on my hand, they are a nice vinyl coated hardened steel S-hook. So it's hardened steel on the inside there, vinyl coated on the outside. That's gonna help prevent scratches, abrasions on your cargo. And that steel core is gonna ensure that they're not gonna bend, flex, break on you, anything like that. Now folks, these do have a nice one-year limited warranty, and again, you're getting two straps with this kit. You also get this amazing hard case here. It's a hard two-piece plastic. Nice, clear lid, so you can see inside whenever you're getting stuff out, putting stuff away. They go in pretty simple actually. So kinda fold 'em back down to their triangle shape, as I'm calling it, and then you can simply put them back to back like that, and then that lid will just pop on ever so easy. And then you're ready to go. Put 'em in your toolbox, put 'em in the cargo bay, the trunk, wherever, and then you're on your way. Well folks, that's gonna do it for our look at these Gorilla Retractable Ratchet Straps. Again, one inch wide, 16 feet long. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
