Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your 2007 through 2008 Chevy Avalanche and all the other years makes and models that you see on the screen there.As you can see, this is going to cover a wide range of vehicles, but if you see your vehicle in the year range on the graphic there, you can trust that this is going to work with your vehicle. It is modeled after the original look and fit for your vehicle. So it's really not going to look like a replacement mirror, it's going to look like it came with your vehicle right from the factory. So you don't have to worry about it looking like you've pieced together parts from the junkyard or anything like that.

It's going to integrate really well and look like it came with your vehicle right from the factory.It does have the power remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. It also has the heated mirror glass that's going to help clear the frost ice and reduce fogging on those chilly mornings. It's got the red LED arrow here that's going to illuminate when we turn on our turn signal so that it's going to be even more visible for anyone around us that we are going to be changing lanes or turning. It also has the puddle lamp on the bottom there that's going to illuminate the ground underneath our mirror so that as we're getting out of our vehicle we can see if there's a big puddle there. So we don't have to worry about getting our shoes dirty or wet, anything like that.One thing that this mirror does not have is the auto-dimming function.

So if your original mirror had that and you are used to it, unfortunately, this one will not support that. And keep in mind, all those features, your power remote capability, your heated mirror glass, all of that is going to be determined by your vehicle. So this mirror is capable of those things if your vehicle already has those capabilities, but it's not going to add those capabilities to your vehicle.Another feature that this has is going to be the power folding so that you can control the amount that your mirror is folded in. So if you're trying to get into a tight spot or something, you can just use the factory power controls inside your vehicle to fold it in so that you have a little bit more room, not as wide of a profile. This is also going to fold in to deter any braking.

So if you we're to hit a pole or something like that, it will fold to try and absorb some of that shock so that the housing isn't damaged. But it is a very durable plastic housing with a textured black finish. So you shouldn't have to worry about that too much, just, of course, any extreme damage could cause a little bit of abrasion or failure like any mirror.But it does have the OE grade flat glass on the front with a chrome reflective finish on it, so that we're going to have a nice clear image. It is a flat lens so it's going to give us the true representation of the object size behind us so we're aware of everything that's coming up behind us or that we're leaving behind us. And it's going to be very easy to get this installed.

It's going to have the same footprint and hardware mounting as our original mirror. So basically, all we have to do is take the original mirror off, put this one in its place, get it plugged in, and we're going to be ready to go.Now, for those of you who need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to work with your vehicle, this is going to be an exact replacement for the original equipment number that you see on the screen there.
