Video Transcript for Test Fit: Inno Aero Flush Roof Rack for Naked Roofs on a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta

Today on our 2013 Volkswagen Jetta we're doing a test fit of the Inno Aeroblade Crossbars. The part number for our crossbars today is I9XB100-2, for our foot pack we're using INXS200, and for our fit kit, we're using INK590. We already have our front bar on, we're going to show you we put the back bar together. We've just got one foot pack left and then we'll load it up onto our vehicle. It comes with everything you see here. The only thing you'll really need to provide is a flat tape, or even a tape measure will work for that as well. First thing we're going to do is put our foot pack together.

I'm going to undo the bolt here at the end, and then I'll take my clamp, and I'll just re-thread my bolt just a few threads so it stays in place. I can take my rubber pad for my foot pack, and just fit that onto the bottom, and make sure that all the seams are closed there. We're then going to line it up onto our bracket that I've already installed. We're going to line up this piece here with this hole, and the smaller piece with the smaller hole. Once those are lined up, we'll extend that out, and then we'll take our longer Allen key and we'll just tighten down the bolts in the center here. What that's going to do is prevent that foot pack from moving up and down the length of the crossbar and just keep it secure in the spot that we need it.

We can now open our car doors and load up our crossbar. We're going to make sure when we load up our crossbar that the thicker end of the crossbar is facing forwards this side a bit, a bit bigger than the other side, we're just going to have that face the correct way. We're going to loosely install these, and readjust the other side. Perfect. With those in place we can take our tape measure, or flat tape at this time, and we're going to measure from the center of the foot pack to the center of the door jam here. All the measurements are in your instructions, but for now, we're going to use forty centimeters as our mark.

With this measurement, you're going to be able to put any kind of roof mounted accessories on your vehicle. You can do roof mounted bike racks, or cargo boxes, or even ski and snowboard carriers, which are all available on our website. We just have to double check that this side is even as well. A good thing to remember is that whatever we do to one side, we want to do to the other, just so our crossbar sits evenly and is secure. With those in the right spot we can now start to tighten down our foot packs. To do so, I'm going to take my tool and start by tightening the clamps so it sits just up against the door frame there.

We'll do the same to the other side. These bars are great, they're a sleek, aerodynamic design, they're going to be pretty light weight on your vehicle, and another great feature about it is that it does have a T-Track area to load up any of your T-Channel mounted accessories. One plus about that is that you don't have to take out this weather stripping here, you can actually leave that in and just push it down to load up those accessories. That's going to keep the aerodynamics of the crossbar and still prevent wind noise while you still have something on your crossbars. With those two up against the door jam, I'm going to start tightening them down. I do about five to ten turns on each side. If you heard that pop, that's going to be like a gas cap noise that you'll hear, that's when you know that your foot pack is completely secure and tightened down enough onto your vehicle, so now we'll just do the same thing to this side, make sure it is secure as well. We can close up our doors here and we'll grab our locking end caps. With those T-Track mounted accessories, as I mentioned before you can keep that weather stripping in, but these covers are also going to protect any kind of bike rack or anything that you have on there. Since they are locking you aren't going to be able to take your bike rack off without having that key and removing that end cap. It's just an added safety feature if you maybe don't have a locking mechanism on your bike rack. With those in place, that's going to complete our look at the Inno Aeroblade Roof Crossbars on our 2013 Volkswagen Jetta.

  • What Roof Rack Fits Both My 2011 Volkswagen Jetta and My 2007 Toyota Matrix?
I have a great solution for you. While we don't have a complete interchangeable roof rack that fits both your 2011 Volkswagen Jetta (bare roof) and your 2007 Toyota Matrix (bare roof), we do have a system that can use the exact same crossbars and mounting feet. The only difference between the two sets of roof racks are the fit kit that connects the feet to the roof of the vehicles. The difference parts are needed because fit kits are designed for specifically to fit the contours of roofs...

  • Does Inno Square Bar Roof Rack Fit 2009 Acura MDX With Naked Roof
Yes, the Inno square bar roof rack will absolutely fit your 2009 Acura MDX with a naked roof You do need to purchase the legs separately, and everything you need for the complete Inno roof rack on your 2009 Acura MDX are the following: - Inno Square Crossbars # INB147 - Inno Feet for Square Crossbars # INSUT - Custom Fit Kit # INK590 Since these are square crossbars, I do recommend considering a wind fairing to help minimize the wind noise, with the correct one being the Inno Fairing...

  • Why are Roof Rack Crossbars Different Lengths for a 2007 Acura MDX with Naked Roof
You have to consider the whole system and how the designs are different. Since they are all different the bars won't necessarily be all the same. There are some designs, for example from Inno, that have bars that are even shorter because the way the feet are designed they have to be a certain length. If you want to go with a quality aero bar roof rack the Rhino-Rack is a great choice. You will need the following parts to install it on your 2007 Acura MDX with naked roof: 2500 Roof Rack...

  • Recommended Roof Rack and Ski/Snowboard Carrier for a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta
The Inno Dual Angle Ski and Snowboard Carrier INUK729 (discontinued) is a great ski/snowboard carrier but it only fits with certain vehicles which unfortunately does not include your 2012 Volkswagen Jetta. The good news is that we still have options for you though! For your application I recommend installing the Inno Aero roof rack system because it's simple, yet doesn't lack any features and is more cost-effective than most of the other roof rack systems that fit your vehicle. Here are...

  • Recommended Roof Rack Ending In Towers for Factory Look on 2012 Acura MDX
We have exactly what you are seeking. I recommend the Inno Roof Rack System which uses 45" Long and 48" Long Inno Aero Crossbars # INXB115-123, Inno Flush Feet for Aero Crossbars # INXS200, and Fit Kit # INK590. This option has crossbars that do not overhang the feet like you are wanting and give you a 165lb capacity to carry whichever accessories you are wanting.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack for 2014 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen
For your 2014 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen SE, I recommend the Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11474. When compared to the other trailer hitches confirmed to fit your vehicle, the Curt has the best ground clearance measurement of about 10-1/2 inches from the ground to the top of the hitch receiver. I have attached an installation video on your vehicle for you to check out. Keep in mind that Curt requires you to use stabilizing straps like # 18050 for non-trailer loads such as bike...

  • How To Carry Bike and Cargo Box On 2012 Acura MDX with Bare Roof
The Inno Square Crossbar System part # INB147, part # INSUT, and part # INK590 is an excellent cost effective option for a 2012 Acura MDX and it even comes with locks for security. It can then be used for a bike rack like the Inno Tire Hold II Roof Bike Rack part # INA389 and a cargo box like the SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box part # SR7095. The two should fit together width wise no problem and because the cargo box has a higher profile rather than longer length it should clear the hatch...
