had to drill the hole to clean out the powder coating to get the rivet to go into the hole

Super solid track system and looks great. Good instructions, I followed them to a T, including purchase of metric bits and punch. Specific to my Nissan Frontier crew cab truck. A little nerve racking drilling 18 holes in the roof but turned out fine. No leaks. Works great with my Yakima landing pads and rack. No interference with sunroof components in the roof. I used a butyl mastic tape in place of the recommended sealant as it wasn’t available in the US. Nice folks at etrailer helped me with that! I probably didn’t need to but I smeared a bit of silicone on top of every rivet head inside the track once it was installed. The end caps fit nice and flush on the roof unlike the Yakima end caps that will have a gap if there is any curvature in the mounting surface.

I bought these racks for my Ford Transit and I couldn't be happier with the racks or the service from trailer. The rhino racks added a nice touch to an awkward looking van with its great looks and perfect functionality. Reading reviews about other racks making howling noises while driving made me a little hesitant , but am pleased to say, no noise whatsoever. I've added a basket to the racks and everything has worked perfectly. We do a lot of traveling,(2 adults,4 kids, 3 dogs) and the racks have provided exactly what we needed. I don't use it as often as I would like but after a year it is still attached and works as intended. The rubber strips to reduce noise came partially loose, but with some fiddling they seem to be hanging in there now. For my vehicle at least, I used a professional (local auto shop) to install as I was not going to take a drill to my car.

The entire rack system (tracks, feet, aero crossbars, ladder straps, and load stops) installed and worked great for the intended use. Also, the service from etrailer was excellent.
The only drawback to this system is the necessity of purchasing a pneumatic rivet gun ($40) for mounting the tracks, but hey, it's a custom rack and i ended up with a cool tool.

sturdy, coated steel or stainless 5mm (3/16) rivets included to reduce corrosion chances.
problem encountered: air riveter required (readily available to borrow or purchase ) due to strength of rivets , the problem is all common rivet guns are too large in diameter to fit into the rail "valley" so the tip is flush with the surface of the hole which is required for proper fastening. In some rhino rack instructional videos these are clearly made with enlarged spaces to fit rivet gun . are these really rhino rack or knock off ? bad production run ? I solved the problem because I have access to a machine shop and was under time pressure due to a planned trip but most customers would be in a mess with no way to solve this issue.
that said , after several extra hours of effort I successfully mounted the rails and new pioneer rack and roof top tent on my naked metal roof and i am happily able to go down the road.
