Specs:
The bases of these Rhino Rack legs easily mount into Thule or Yakima roof-rack tracks. After the initial setup, you can leave the bases in the tracks.
Molded inserts help keep out dirt and provide a finished look when there are no legs and crossbars installed. To install a leg, simply remove the insert.
Once you've set up the bases, installing and removing your roof rack is easy. The Quick Mount legs have an integrated trigger system that creates an easy, tool-free installation.
To install a leg in a base, pinch and slide the internal triggers together.
Lower the leg onto the base and slide the internal triggers apart to secure the leg in the base.
Once the leg is installed in the base, replace the cover and lock it to help secure the system to your roof.

Use your Rhino-Rack Aero accessories on your vehicle with factory roof-rack tracks. Locking, Quick Mount legs mount to tracks. Black, Vortex Aero crossbars accommodate clamp-on and channel-mount gear.Overall unimpressed. Item took nearly a month to arrive from eTrailer despite being in-stock and an estimated delivery time of two days at checkout. The rack looks good but the leg locking bars are made of plastic, not sure why for the price. Not enough hardware was supplied to install following the instructions. Instructions show split lock washers on each bolt. Had to purchase additional split lock washers. Not impressed with the fact that I now need to keep up with 3 specialty tools to service/remove this rack that is supposed to be quick release. 1 key to lock the bases, 1 key to remove the bar end caps and a 5mm safety post Allen which is a stupid tool anyway. The hardware should be standard Allen or torx not safety. The tube end caps should be able to be removed with a flat head or normal tool and not a proprietary key. This would eliminate two superfluous tools. Overall I would not buy this rack again, I would go with a different system.
Crossbars have a minimum track width that is not listed on the product page.
The 59" (1500mm) bars have only 300mm of mounting space on the ends to connect the mounting legs. This is not found anywhere on the product page. Accounting for the offset of the mounting legs, your factory tracks must be at least ~1000mm apart to fit these crossbars. The tracks on my truck cap are 800mm apart (SnugTop Hi-Liner) so the cross bars did not fit.
etrailer customer service was courteous but not very helpful. I went in circles answering the same questions before contacting the manufacturer directly. One star for the hardware seeming well designed and solidly built. A second star for the return process being uncomplicated and the refund prompt.
The Rhino Rack roof rack system fit perfectly on my A.R.E. truck cap with Yakita tracks. The 54" Aero Bars were just the right length and it was a very easy install. Rhino Rack has blended functionality, smart looks and security into this system. I would highly recommend Rhino Rack for similar applications.
This product arrived in perfect condition due to the excellent way it was packaged. It has instructions that appear to be clear and usable. I will install this carrier on the Leer canopy on my 2018 Ram and the primary use will be to carry my canoe. I have not tried to install it yet due to continued snow, which is also keeping any urge to use the canoe at bay.

This review is for the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Aluminum-Silver crossbars and
associated legs and custom fit kit (RRVA137s-2, DK284, RRRLKVA) necessary for a naked roof installation on a 2018 Honda CR-V. Just enter the model and year of your vehicle and etrailers website will tell you exactly what additional items are necessary to complete the install. etrailers installation instructions and videos are very helpful. The installation document provided is for more than one vehicle and for more than one style rack, so take your time to understand witch measurements apply to your installation and refer to the installation video if necessary. ON that note: The measurements given for front rack did not fit as nicely on the roof as the rear rack, I adjusted the the front rack measurements slightly. I would suggest trial fitting on your vehicle before cutting the metric rulers to final length. Stick On tags are supplied to indicate front, rear and the location to install on your vehicle. Once the rails are adjusted and tagged you can remove and reinstall the racks very quickly. Korren was very helpful in keeping me informed as to availability of items in stock and email shipping tracking. I am very satisfied with etrailers customer service and happy with the appearance and functionality of the Rhino racks.

I give all 5 stars for the product and service, but...I prefer the parts to be all in one carboard, also I was a little panicking looking for blue plastic key...It was inside of cross-bar ??not falling out with strips. Anyway,
I"m owner of Honda cr-v 2022 with bare roof ,and I just installed the rack. Was it simple enough? Yes,so I can share this:
First, rubber pads are all the same, and after placements to plastic legs should be placed with arrow*out*-that is it(a lot of info regarding vertical parts, that they are all different)??
Second, on other hand, in video we informed that clamps are same -they are not. Bigger "hooks" are for rear bar, smaller ones-for the front one.
Third, do not expect precision in rubber pads position(especially on rear bar)regarding plastic rail strips on bare roof.it is not achievable, just try to make same look on both sides.
I was worried about rain and water gets inside. Well, let us see.
What I plan to care on rack? Just a small 6ft step ladder. Believe me or no CR-V is my business vehicle ,and ladder carry was the goal of rack purchase. And only question I have if I can get to underground parking with no problems to cross the front entries usually limited with 6 ft in heights I will find out soon, but rack height plus ladder on it makes me worry.??The review will be update soon. regards.

At first I didn’t know how to get the end pieces off because I thought it was locked and didn’t know where the key was. After pulling one of the ends pieces off, I saw that the blue key was inside the crossbar next to the measuring strips. Took me a minute but figured that part out, but the instructions were easy to follow. Can’t wait to test it out on my Kayaks! I have this installed on my Toyota Corolla LE 2013.

This roof rack works great! At first I was skeptical about putting a rack on my IS250, but it couldn't have turned out better. Paired with the Yakima Highroad, I can easily transport my bikes around without worrying about anything coming loose while driving. The installation instructions for the legs and bars are pretty straightforward. Takes about 30-45 minutes total to install.

I posted a detailed review with photos in my fit kit review by Anthony. If your thinking of getting a rack system this is the one to get and etrailer is the place to get it. This is a fabulous design. Strong and aerodynamic.

I purchased the Rhino legs, cross bars and J-style kaya carriers together and could not be more pleased with the combination. The system was installed in an evening and used the next day. Assembly and installation was easy. The most difficult part was getting an even extension from the legs on both sides of the vehicle. I put a vortex strip with the ruler in each side to adjust and then tightened the screws. This set the back part of the leg in place which made installing the strips on the bottom easy as well. With strips filling all the gaps in the cross bar there is no wind noise at all.

Great Roof Rack! It is super quiet when driving down the road even when going 75+ mph. Exceeded all my expectations. I paired mine with the Rhino Rack Hybrid Bike Carrier (RBC050). I’m able to fully open my hatchback (2018 Honda Civic 5dr) and it looks great as well.

Exactly what I needed to replace the factory cross bars to make it easier to take off my roof top tent. Easy to install and secured nicely to the factory rails.

Just what I was looking for for my 2021 MB Metris Cargo Van with Raised Rails, for hauling a 14-foot SUP. I wanted as low profile as possible and the Rhino Rack SX Series Legs and Aero Crossbars looked best. Relatively easy to set up.

Very straight forward to install. Took about a half hour in total. No whistling whatsoever. They look awesome on my 2016 Ford Explorer Sport! Especially with my running boards and tires...
Waiting on my Rhino basket to get here to install that next!

I wouldn't buy these bars again. Starting with the good, they work as a roof rack and have allowed me to transport my kayak. So that's been great! That said, I would have spent more to get a different kind of rack. These have a serious design flaw. They're hollow tubes with an open slit down the middle. They give you a rubber strip to plug up the hole as best you can, then you put caps on either side of the bars. The bars basically act as two giant clarinets on top of your car. No one can stand the whistling/squealing when they drive in my car. They ask me to take the bars down when they drive with me. I thought this was normal for temporary racks until I was in the car with a friend who had different temp racks and didn't hear a thing.

The cross bars assembled easily and with some assistance mounted to the car perfectly. I just got them on tonight and am going to be doing a bit of driving tomorrow and will report back with any noise issues. I do not expect any issues. I have purchased a few things for the same vehicle from etrailer and have been pleased all around with each.

Excellent system. Little to no wind noise. Measurements to mount the rear bar to the 2020 Equinox are incorrect in the instructions but easy to adjust to an exact fit.

I have been using etrailer for many years and have never had a bad purchase. We are about to start traveling quite a bit with our 5th wheel. Putting our kayaks on the back of the trailer was not an option. I researched several roof top carriers and this package was by far the best value and quality. The Rhino rack is awesome, works extremely well with kayak "J" carriers and installed relatively easy. There was an issue with the measurements for the underside channel covers. For my Ram, they were short. But I always use the old adage of measure 2, 3 or 4 times. Cut once. Saved me a few problems here. As alway7s with etrailer, we are very pleased with the product, the serv ice and the information before purchasing.

Easy to install. The pins on the legs clamp perfectly into the fixed points on the car's flush rails. This is a nice low profile set up. The top of the crossbar is about 4" above the roof glass and does not interfere with opening the sunroof. This is a very sturdy setup for our Thule Motion XT XL. etrailer shipped extremely fast. Very pleased with my purchase.

Choosing a system for transporting my new (to me, they're actually used) kayaks was TOUGH. I love my little 2017 Honda Fit, and I knew I would love my new kayaks when I got them. I don't want anything bad to happen to either! Also, my car is small and the kayaks are fairly large, comparatively. I've strapped a lot of things to a lot of vehicles, but this is going to be a long term relationship, so I wanted to get it right the first time.
I've been researching and reading reviews for months, but I got confirmation that the kayaks were ready for pickup, so I needed to make a decision! I ultimately pulled the trigger on the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars with the 2500 Series Legs and Custom DK Fit Kit for my naked roof car and the Rhino-Rack Nautic Stack Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs.
I placed my order on 09/15/21 at 6 PM. The estimated delivery date was 09/23/21, which made me a little sad. I really wanted to pick up my boats on Sunday, 09/19/21, but I figured I'd waited THIS long, I could probably handle waiting another week. I was very pleasantly surprised to receive an email at 8 PM the same evening notifying me that my order had shipped. AND, even better, the UPS tracking was showing delivery on 09/18/21 by 7PM! I was beyond excited, but didn't get my hopes up because shipping has been pretty hit or miss since well before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, UPS delivered my package just before noon on Saturday, which was amazing!
I got everything unpacked and reviewed to ensure that I had all I would need to assemble the system - check. Nothing missing, which is always an auspicious start. Then I started reading the instructions - UGH. This is (so far) the ONLY thing I have to complain about. I have put together IKEA furniture that had clearer instructions. I probably should have gone to Google to find a YouTube video, but I powered through with the instructions provided. Since I've never put together or used a roof rack before, I didn't really know what the final outcome should look like, so that made interpreting the instructions very difficult - the pictures were not super clear, and the accompanying text did not improve the situation. Now that I know what it looks like assembled, I get it, but at the time it was rough. I estimated it took me about 2 hours to get the rack assembled and secured to my car, and towards the end my fiancé arrived and helped me to realize that the foot pads were not properly attached to the feet, which made a huge difference! The kayak carrier was much easier to install, taking maybe 15 additional minutes.
The foot pads rest in the groove on the edge of the roof, I assume over the frame of the car. There's absolutely no flex in the roof where the feet sit. The hook part of the clamp rests against the metal of the car, under the rubber seal, so I don't foresee any potential issues with the seal as a result of the rack. The doors close as normal, and the rack has no movement whatsoever once tightened down. I've now used it as a handle to pull myself up towards the roof a few times (I'm about 190 lbs), and I feel totally confident that it's not going anywhere. I now have ideas about how to use the rack to haul around the larger stuff that won't fit INSIDE my car (which isn't much - I HIGHLY recommend this car!).
So, the big question - how'd it go with the kayaks?
In short - perfection! I was slightly concerned about the boats overhanging the front or back of my car, as they're 12.5 ft long and my car is just over 13 ft long. Eeeeek! I needn't have worried. They fit like a dream, and even without bow or stern tie downs were very secure during our trip home. We took local roads instead of the highway because we didn't tie down the bow and stern, so we probably didn't go over 40 ish MPH, but I saw absolutely no lift (I can see the ends of the boats out of the front windshield). I will be using those tie downs in the future, and anticipate no issues with highway speeds under those conditions.
Obviously, only time will tell how everything holds up/works out, but at this stage, I am extremely pleased with my decision and am looking forward to many kayaking adventures to come! I only have one picture at this point, but may take a few more and add them so anyone else considering a similar setup knows what they'll be getting.

I purchased the complete 2500 Series system which included the crossbars, legs and fit kit for my 2018 Honda Fit so I could transport my kayak.. They were well packaged and their quality is quite evident. I did struggle a little following the assembly instructions but with some patience and watching a video it went well. Two items to be aware of. The front and rear leg clamps are of different lengths with the longer clamps going on the rear crossbar. The other issue was positioning the crossbars. After following the measurements for attaching the legs to the crossbars it was quite clear that the measurement for the rear crossbar was wrong. Placing the legs as instructed didn't allow the rear crossbars to be the 29 17/32 inches from the front crossbar but required me to move it back to 31 1/2 inches. There is a very faint whistle while driving around 30 to 35 mph but it's not annoying. I was so pleased with the fit and finish I went ahead and purchased the Rhino Rack S-loader to make it easier for me to lift my kayak onto the crossbars. I would definitely recommend both items.

Love the bars, I had gotten the other rack parts from different suppliers. I love the look and sleek design of the Rhino Rack. I did the 2500 vortex on a 2016 Subaru Impreza sedan and it fits great and looks even better.

Great quality and easy install, had Thule system prior and these are less cost and far better quality.
