The Kuat Switch 4 lets you carry 4 pairs of large skis or 2 snowboards on your vehicle's roof rack. It's easy to remove, but with the foldable design you may want to leave it on your vehicle all season long. It also includes locks to secure your gear to the Switch.
Folding Design
Unlike traditional ski carriers, the Kuat Switch can be folded down when you aren't carrying skis or snowboards to reduce wind noise and drag. Simply pull the release lever on each holder and lower them into position.
Large Push Buttons
The carrier has oversized push buttons on the end caps that let you quickly open the arms to access gear. Simply push up on each tab to open the cradle and load your gear.
Flexible Rubber Blades
The Switch holds your gear between a pair of rubber blades. They grip your gear tight to keep it in place, but are flexible enough to prevent scratches and scuffs durings transport.
Security for Your Skis
The Switch comes equipped with built-in locks to deter theft of your gear. The arms lock in 2 positions to secure your skis to the carrier. They lock fully closed to accommodate thin skis and they lock slighly more open to accommodate thicker snowboards. Includes 2 keys.
Easy Tool-Free Installation
The carrier clamps to most crossbars with stainless steel straps. Simply run a strap beneath the crossbar and hook it into the bracket on the opposite side of the mount. Then, use the included Allen key to tighten the straps in place.The straps have a protective rubber coating to protect your crossbars from scratches and scuffs.

Used it about a dozen times in the 23/24 season including a multi hundred mile trip to Vermont and it worked great. It is a solid product with seeming quality materials. The switch feature is perfect when not utilizing the rack to transport gear. Gear is kept secure. It is easy to install and un/load equipment.
These are very easy to install and obviously high quality - just need to really loosen the part that hooks over the crossbar a lot to get it to unhook. I went on a fast highway trip yesterday and there was no noise or anything to indicate I even had a ski rack on my car.
It worked well and held 4 pairs of skis. Easy to assemble.
Item thoroughly described and matched perfectly upon arrival. The universal mounts hug perfectly and easily around aero bars. My favorite is it folds down as described when not in use which creates a much more aero profile until next use. Fast shipping!
This rack is a 5 star no brainer. Its gone through 2 seasons of getting used 7 days a week. -15 degrees to road salt to kids slapping it open, it has not malfunctioned once. Rarely used, but the fold down feature definitely reduces noise, and looks good too. The bar mount clings to any shape bar and is so easy, it takes less than a minute to remove for a skinless road trip.
Been a great purchase. Fits 4 pairs of skis and a snowboard with room to spare. Could probably fit 2 boards and 3 pairs of skis easy.
Excellent ski rack. I purchased because I wanted absolutely no noise. This thing is super quiet went flipped up or down. Love the looks of it flipped down. Absolutely no complaints. Easy to use and set up.
Arrived fast, easy to install on my 2021 Toyota Rav4 Limited. Love that it folds down when not in use. Haven't been to the mountain yet but looking forward to putting it to use. Save the box for storage - came with nice foam ends to protect it.
High value product, works well, great p urchase.
For the price and size, this is a great rack. The only issue I’ve had is that the locks often jam, and I have to finagle the key around until the key hole eventually sits right and allows the key in.
easy to install and remove, looks good and functions well. Economical and I am very happy with performance.
