We are headed to Alaska in September and needed a trailer hitch receiver for our 2015 Forester so we could mount a full size tire to have in case we blew a tire. Proven lock design, like the best hitch-pin lock systems. And getting them keyed-alike just makes the wheel lock idea even better. The quality machine work and heavy duty lock barrel makes me confident that my spare tires will be safe and secure!
Best spare lock I’ve found, all you do is drill a 9/16” hole through your backing plate and insert either end of the lock and use the key to screw it till tight and remove the key. The lock screws into itself...GENIUS! Spare tire and wheel is now safe!
Just what I was looking for but 2 purchased not keyed alike.
After owning this lock for one year, I'm happy to report my spare is still locked away where it belongs on the side of my dump trailer.

Great product. Fits perfectly on my Roadtrek. The only thing I would recommend is a removable license plate holder that fits into the receiver.

Always great products and service from trailer. I haven’t installed spare tire holder but it looks good. I’ll be buying a spare tire and wheel soon to attach to this spare holder for my trailer.
Love that I have it keyed to match my other trailer locks. Its a little bit of extra work to screw it on and off versus a traditional style lock, but its worth it. I highly recommend it.
Good, solid lock. To me, the best thing about it is the ability to have it keyed like with other trailer locks. I do wish the price was more in line with their hitch/receiver locks I also bought.
Bought several of these, keyed alike, plus locking wheel chocks, after a druggie stole my trailers. Bought another because these are rock solid deterrents. Renders wheel unusable so a thief less able to sell. Be sure to rinse if salt environment.

The products worked as well as we expected from talking with etrailer employees and looking online. It was easy to install. We wanted to be able to have a spare tire carrier utilizing the two inch receiver hitch and with the extra two inch receiver we can carry our bicycles or pull our boat or 4-wheelers. I would recommend this product for this type of purpose.
