Hello, neighbors and friends, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Dexter Zinc-Plated, A60 coupler made for a two inch ball size and a three inch channel bolt-on edition rated at 5,000 pounds towing capacity. So folks, this will be considered a low profile coupler, so nice, sleek, simple design, and it is a nice simple latch that's gonna be very easy to manipulate and use and give you a nice, safe, and secure connection. So you'd simply pull out the pin on the top here, you've got a spring loaded lever and simply pop that up. As you can see, that opens up the mechanism here where the ball will go in. The ball is sold separately.
You should already have this on your ball mount. I've got one here just for demonstration purposes only. It is a two inch ball whenever you come down over the top of the trailer ball. Then you simply just push this down and it latches in place like so. Nice sturdy connection.
And then obviously you put the pin back in to secure it. When you're done, you simply undo the lever, it springs up, comes right off the ball. Again, no ball included. That's just for demonstration purposes. I'm gonna go ahead and close this back up.
Latch everything again so we can get some quick dimensions overall and everything. Now, as far as a finish, it is a nice zinc plated, so it's gonna be corrosion resistant. It's a nice durable steel construction. And again, it's a bolt on application, so you're gonna need to get some bolts, again sold separately. You could get them here at etrailer.com or at your local hardware store.
On center, the mounting holes are three inches apart and as I said before, it mounts to a three inch channel. And overall for a length, I was getting right about close to 11 inches overall and the outside dimension, outside to outside, was right at three and a quarter inches. Again outside to outside. As far as the height, I'm getting right at three inches tall as well. Now again, this is rated at 5,000 pounds gross towing weight, so again, nothing over 5,000 pounds and a max tongue weight of 500 pounds. So again, two inch ball. A nice low profile channel bolt coupler by Dexter. Folks, I'm Steven. Thanks so much for your time. Have a great day and stay safe as always while you're towing.

Awesome coupler. Solid contact with the ball, super low profile, easy to use latch , this is exactly what I wanted as I run a bike rack above the coupler, plenty of clearance for unhitching the trailer without removing the rack.
Used this coupler to replace the aging and obsolete folding surge coupler on my dated and neglected Nautique Ramlin trailer. Deleted the surge system and this bolted up perfectly. Super easy and smooth operation for locking onto the tow ball.
PRO: Arrived well packaged and undamaged. Good tight fit on the 2" ball.
CON: I was replacing an older Titan coupler. The new coupler's bolt holes did not match the old coupler's hole pattern - off by 1/32" to 1/8", so the bolts will not fit thru the matching holes in the trailer. Rather than a 15 minute replacement, I now have to drill out the trailer bolt holes to make the new coupler fit, meaning that I will not have the close tolerance bolt-to-hole fit. This looser fit can ultimately cause wear on the bolts. I now plan to put in a bolt replacement maintenance exam/replacement reminder every year (to be safe).
I have two different vehicles with two different hitch ball diameters. I purchased this coupler to allow me hassle free use of either vehicle with the trailer equipped with the coupler.
The couple is a very clever design and should allow me the flexibility that I was looking for. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it looks great and I am considering putting them on all of my smaller trailers.
This coupler worked out great for my trailer tongue. I like the type of mechanism that is used to connect to the trailer ball. The old trailer coupler has been very problematic when I tried to make a connection.
Creates a locking challenge. Needs a special lock. The open slide is not smooth and sometimes hard to work. The coupling is a challenge on any slope. Sometimes we need to drag the trailer to a flatter spot to get it to engage.
Product is exactly what I ordered and it came within two days. Will definitely buy from etrailer again.
