This sturdy D-ring anchor bolts onto a backing plate (BP1D - sold separately) to create an attachment point for tie-down straps and bungee cords wherever you need cargo control. Zinc-plated steel resists corrosion.

Today we're taking a look at the Brophy D Ring Tie Down Anchor. Now this tie down anchor provides a solid point on your trailer to secure your cargo with straps or bungee cords. It does require the backing plate, which is available with part number BP1D. This is required for installation.Now the D ring hinges so that way you can attach straps from multiple angles. It features the zinc plated steel ring and washer to resist rust and corrosion and retain strength through repeated use. Parts are made in the USA.
Safe working load limit is 2,000 pounds. Maximum load or brake strength is 6,000 pounds. The shackle diameter, that's the diameter of this portion here, that's a half inch. Usable space is 2 1/4 by 2 1/4. The bolt itself, just measuring that threaded portion measures around three inches long and that bolt has a diameter, outside edge to outside edge of the threads, about 9/16ths to 5/8ths inches.That's gonna do it for today's look at the Brophy D Ring Tie Down Anchor..

Does not flush mount. Does not come with mounting hardware.
Ordered three pieces and two came silver and the other one was black
Items were back ordered so I waited an extra couple weeks.
Pretty disappointed.

Works great! One of the best things I have added to my trailer. They use a course 5/8" thread. There seems to be some confusion on that. I just welded 5/8" nuts to cross members.

We've been using this on our chopped U-Haul for the past year and it's worked awesome. No issues - they've held up great! I just wish the manufacturer sent it with a bolt, other than that they've been great!

The anchors are great, But could you at lease include the locking nuts and one more flat washer each so I don't have to go to hardware store and buy some!
