This chain tie-down anchor is used primarily to secure loads on over-the-road equipment. Simply weld the tie-down to the understructure of your trailer using the weld tabs, and the opening of the tie-down tube will sit flush with your trailer's floor. When the chain is not in use, it will stow inside the tube and remain covered by the built-in cap. To use the tie-down, just pull the chain out of the tube.
Grade 70 chain is designed specifically for the transportation industry. It has a high strength-to-weight ratio and a high working load limit, which is the force a chain can take before it fails or breaks. The chain used in this tie-down is 3/8" thick and manufactured from a high-strength, low-alloy carbon steel.
