We had driven only about 20 miles. Some how it got twisted off the tire and around the axle. It had to be cut off. Small pieces broke off the other cable chain but it remained on the tire. The cable chains were professionally installed. My truck was the only one to have a problem. Very disappointed in this product. 470286

The chains arrived on Friday, just as promised. My dad is very pleased with them and anxious to get them placed on his truck tires in preparation for winter. 451012

I shopped around and you will NEVER beat this price. Clear instructions (video on etrailer was super helpful also). Great carry bag! A nice product to have "just in case." Hopefully I will never have to use them... 220404

This product replace my 12 years old snow track. The main side cables and x-cables/roller are twice as large in diameter. Much heavier but draped over the wheels with no problem. Installation is simple as described on your video. Fit is good. I am anxious to try idriving with it on snow and ice. But, I don’t drive when the weather is not permitting and the road is not clear. But, it is a good feeling to have a new snow chain with you instead of the old rusty and twisted one. The 5 arms tensioner are much better than my single loop. Just a couple of cons: 1. The latch on the outside cable connectors are difficult to lock and unlock in place. Plier to compress it to lock in position and flat head screw driver to open it from lock position are good help. 2. The red “S” clips that is right next to the connector assembly does not work. The cable is too stiff and the cable connector assembly gets in the way in securing excess cables from slapping around. Place the clip on the next link to secure. You will end up with an inch high bulge on the cable so make sure you have enough clearance inside the wheel well when the wheels is fully turned right and left. I have plenty of room so this is not and issue - I hope! “Much thanks to Carol C. who assisted me in ordering the parts. Your professionalism and product knowledge made my life easy.” Stay WARM! 601574

Nice Products at a Great Price I recently ordered two different tire chain/cable sets. They were priced below many competetors and shipping was just in time for our first snow. Thanks for the great product, price, and customer service. 4417

The chains arrived a few days after I placed my order. They fit my 2012 Mazda 3 perfectly. I live on a steep hill and last winter my car had trouble climbing the hill when it was covered with ice and snow. Hopefully these will help me get home! 162636

I am giving this product one star short of "excellent" only because they have not ever been used since purchased - and I hope it stays that way. I do think it's a solid product as I have practiced putting these chains on my SUV just in case I will need them and reasonably priced. Thanks! 582293

1. Super fast shipping - earlier than estimated delivery date. 2. Excellent customer service - they follow up with every process: after order received, after product shipped, after product delivered, follow-up and feedback. The website also share plenty of information about product review and instructions. 3. Great product - with easy carrying bag and detailed instruction. 4. Great price - this is the cheapest price I found online. Will definitely recommend etrailer.com. :) 166803

Great support from etrailer and their video is a definite assist when wrestling with the chains the first time or two. We fitted them to our 2011 Honda Odyssey which uses 235/65 17 tires. That said, the lengths of the cables are "just" long enough to be able to hook up and it took a pair of pliers to help - on a warm day. Lying in the snow, at night might not be as much fun. But they appear to be well-made and we will probably see how they work out in a couple of weeks. 238703

First time i deal with a vendor that is so efficient. Called their helpline to get info on the right size of rubber adjustors i needed for the PW2029C snow chain tires. Mark M. answered my question and gladly asked me if he could finish my order that i had started online. I think when you call a place like this and they offer such great service, you will still order their product even if they charge taxes and delivery for out of state orders. Thank you Mark M. for great service and my order arrived as promised, ready for the snow this weekend. JP 235075

While not as aggressive as all-link chains I found this design to provide good traction in snow and moderate icing conditions. Chains are light weight, easy to mount, and store in compact container when not in use. Design provides extra measure of protection for brake, suspension, and body components where clearances are reduced by tire/wheel size or custom modifications. There isn't a lot of excitement when it comes to tire chains and adjusters unless it is when you need them and you don't have them, or you have them and they don't fit, or you have them and they don't work. With etrailer I managed to miss ALL the excitement! As always I received excellent sales and shipping service to get me the correct chains and adjusters in time for an unscheduled trip, they fit to a "T", and provided excellent traction with no sidewall wear or impact with body or brake components. I always marvel at finding the best service for truck and trailer equipment half way across the country rather than in my own backyard. 336791

I just received my new tire chains sized for my BMW. They are compact and appear to be just what I wanted. (Of course ultimately the sizing for my car will confirm the success of this product for me.) I have ordered from etrailer before and their depth of product is always appreciated so that a correct part is ordered. 470841

As a woman who needs to use these type of chains due to a neighborhood road that terribly ices when it thaws and rains, they work great to keep me from sliding off the road. I own a Ford Escape and can get these on and off with a little work. My only complaint is that last year these chains were recommended for my vehicle and this year your website says I should not be using these chains, but some other model by Glacier. And one other thing that is totally my fault, is that I bought them last year, but did not need to use them so I never put them on my vehicle, so I did not know that they barely fit my tires even though they were supposed to be the correct size for my tires. I am only able to put them on the first link lock thingy and I use the spreader star bungie, so that makes them tight enough for me to drive out of our neighborhood and get to the paved road to take them off. It would be best if I had a little more tightening chain to work with, but that's on me for not trying them on the tires when I got them last year. 468903

Good news. The order arrived on the 6th day. To be sure they fit I did a test installation. I installed the Glacier PW1038 snow cable/chains on our 2016 Subaru Forester (225 -60R-17). The chains fit perfectly and on the 2nd notch. (See attached pix). nice fit: away from the rim and other body parts. The PW105s also helped greatly to snug the package. Cris T 467430

OK for the price. More junk from China. I bought these for our new Grand Cherokee because CA state law requires me to carry them whether I need them or not. (e.g. In 14 yrs of snow driving in our old Volvo AWD I never once opened the box of chains for that car and gave them away with the car). I do NOT expect to ever have to use these on our new Grand Cherokee either so I guess it doesn't matter much what I think of these... HOWEVER, I will just say that I was disappointed to find that these have no application chart provided with the chains. I have never bought a set of chains that did not give a semi-complete list of all applicable tire sizes. These only list 4 sizes (not mine) and then the "Made in China" tag simply states that there are also other sizes as well. etrailer only states that these are 'verified' to fit my car. If it ever were to really come down to it, I hope they do because there's no way I'm going to waste my time and energy 'trying' them on when I'm never going to need them anyway. I wanted the expensive Thule that Jeep recommends for our Cherokee and would have paid 3 times as much to know that I have the best but I also truly believe that it's very possible I would never use them so these cheap ones I will feel better about not keeping if I ever get rid of the car. 353928

Used the cables last winter, it was particularly snowy so had to drive about an hour with the cables on, which is unique for California. The only issue I had was the locking mechanism kept coming loose which loosened the cable and caused some thumping. It's a little complex getting the orientation right, but never had a traction problem. These were used on a Ford Explorer and were pretty easy to get on and off. 471657

First, I'll note that I rated the product as "Excellent" based on the visual quality of the cable chains as well as the east of installation. I haven't driven on them yet so I will reserve my final opinion. I ordered express delivery and received the shipment yesterday as expected. I read the installation instructions last night and fitted the chains today. I put both on in 10 minutes and could probably have saved a bit of time because I was trying to get the hooks exactly the same (inside and out) but could not make it work. So, I settled for 2 in - 3 out on one tire and 3 in - 2 out on the other. I also bought tension rings but I did not install them today. So, with tension ring installation, say 15 minutes maximum to install chains on two front tires. 721832

We received our tire cables in less than 24 hours after ordering them. Yeah! We had a trip planned to the coast which takes a drive over the coast range mountains usually not a problem here in Oregon....but we got a crazy snow storm and traction devices required. We have a Subaru Impreza which requires special traction device so we googled and found them available @ etrailer.com. We now have them and are leaving for the coast and our getaway. They work great and we are very happy with the service and speedy customer service. Thank You 332201
