The Konig XD-16 Pro tire chains are great all-purpose, winter weather chains. If you live in an area where you're likely to get periodic snow and ice, these Konig chains are perfect because they're durable and easy to mount. If you're more likely to see seriously icy conditions, you may want a chain with V-bar links that can really bite into the ice to give you maximum traction.
These chains are among the easiest and fastest to install because they have built-in tensioners that you can just pull taut to adjust the fit. These tensioners allow the chains to fit your tires, no matter the profile or wear pattern. And because the tensioners are built-in, you never have to worry about losing them like you might with other chains on the market.
If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer. You'll also need to know how much clearance is in your wheel well, which you can determine by measuring from your tire tread to the sidewall of the wheel well.
We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.
You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. Even these low-profile chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.
Installing these chains is incredibly simple.
1. Lay out the chains on the ground to make sure there are no twists or kinks in them.
2. Slide the chain behind the tire and connect the ends of the blue cable, which will sit behind the tire.
3. Around front, connect the red hook to the red link.
4. At the bottom of the tire, feed the tensioning chain through the large clip and tug it until it's tight.
5. Feed the tensioning chain through as many red clips along the side chain as you can, leaving room to still be able to stretch the hook across the tire. Attach the hook to the side chain directly across from the last clip you ran the tensioner through. The hook should face away from your tire.
6. Drive forward around 325' (about the length of a football field) and stop. Check the chains and tighten them as needed.

I chose Konig brand chains based on other web site forum reviews, but trailer.com not only carried them in the size I needed but had a ton of information and help videos the helped me be confident in my choice. etrailer.com not only delivered them fast, the communication before and after was great.

I just practiced installing these chains. It went very smoothly while following the easy to use instructions. Pretty quick, less than 5 minutes per tire.
This is my second snow chain of Konig. Great quality. There're similar products out there for cheaper price. But this build quality and thoughtful detailed design worth its price.
I have not used these yet. But I have purchased before and they are a well made product. Easy installation once you do it once, read the directions.

Chains fit 2022 F350 Tremor with 285/70R18 tires. A little difficult to drape around tire evenly due to the deep lugs/siping on Dura Trac tires but not bad. Plenty of clearance to brake and suspension components. Get some parachute cord to place over the tensioning chain on the rear tire to protect the hub. Have not used in snow yet. A bit pricey but high quality and fairly easy installation both front and back. I also have Konig chains for my Subaru Outback that are excellent. Etrailer customer service is always excellent.
Sales team took the time to work through my options. I needed chains for my new truck to use in Search and Rescue. Key to my use is ease of installation in bad weather, and also performance. Really appreciated the provided advice and recommendation.
The on line and telephone experience was perfect. The product is great. Easier to install than I thought and a giant leap above tire chains for which you have to crawl under the truck to install them. Workmanship on the chains looks very solid, time will tell. The only reason for my 4 star rating rather than 5 star to total uselessness of the included directions. Watching the video was much more informative and understandable than the included directions. These were intended to be understandable for multiple language speakers, and that's a good intent. However the pictures and symbols are barely sufficient let alone complete and clear instructions. I would recommend these chains to anyone shopping but I would also recommend watching the video on the etrailer website and forget the included directions.

Amazing product! Excellent look and execution of design. Better than expected fit on tire size too. Recommend measuring inboard clearance between sidewall and upper control arm (any suspension components) to ensure full inch of room. Mine (cityboy Ram 1500 4X4 Sport) was insufficient (half inch) to clear chain on front tires. Still LOVE these chains and no regrets on purchase. Order early as mine took months to arrive (they told me that upfront though so not a dig on company at all). Highly recommend!
Easiest to install chains I’ve ever had!
Fantastic experience! I could not find the correct size for my car. Tirechain.com, AutoZone, and others did not carry the correct size for my 2022 vehicle. Thankfully etrailer.com had what we were looking for and they were able to get the chains to me in a couple of days at a minimal cost. Thanks guys

I used these on my wife's 22 Mercedes GLS450, on a recent trip to Mammoth. The tire size 325/35/23 for her car was very difficult to find so I was very impressed with the fit and function of these. We drove for about 50 miles with them over the weekend and were very easy to install and remove.
