The V-bar studs on each cross chain of these heavy-duty, twist-link snow chains bite into frozen roads to give you excellent traction in deep snow and ice. Also ideal for off-roading in boggy areas. Chains mount easily and tension with cams.

Note: To determine whether you can use snow chains on your vehicle, or if they might affect your ABS/EPS functionality, consult your owner's manual.
These chains are outstanding in serious winter weather conditions because the V-bar studs can bust through intense ice and packed snow. So, you'll be able to get to work and back home again even in the toughest weather. You can also use them if you ever go off-roading and end up in a mud-digging situation. These chains are going to help give your vehicle purchase to pull out and keep moving.
If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer. You'll also need to know how much clearance is in your wheel well, which you can determine by measuring from your tire tread to the sidewall of the wheel well.
We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.
You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.
Installing these chains is simple.
1. Lay out the chains on the ground to make sure there are no twists or kinks.
2. Drape the chain over the tire, ensuring that the V-bar studs face away from the tire.
3. On the back of the tire, pull the chain tight and hook the ends together. Repeat this on the front of the tire, then clamp the lever to fasten extra chain links and keep them from flapping as you drive.
4. Insert the included tool into the cam and twist to tighten the sidewall chain. Twist as many cams as it takes to get a tight fit.
5. Drive forward 2-3 vehicle lengths and recheck the chain tension. Tighten any loose cams. If needed, rubber adjusters (sold separately) can be used to help give you a tight fit. Make sure the hooks on the adjusters face away from your tire so your wheels don't get scratched.
Quick Tips:
To choose the right snow chain, you must match your tire size. Those measurements can be found on the side of your tire.

But I am most impressed by the customer service I received after my item was lost in transit. Another set of chains was sent with no questions or hassles at all. I am totally amazed at this company and I will definitely share my feelings with my friends.
Best tire chains that I ever owned . Easy to put on the tires and they stay put.
easy to tighten with cams-great traction with v-bar links
Great chains. The grip is unbeatable on dirt roads. The multiple cam system is awesome and simple! I'll never buy anything other than these multi-cam chains. I use them on the old 7.3L dually for snow plowing and/or hauling anything up the road to cabin in the winter.
Tips: Carry an old yoga mat or two in the truck to lay on for getting underneath and behind the tires. I summer I use the mats for working under the truck work when on dirt or in shop. Have your tools with you on the plow job!
Do not drive these chains on paved roads with this; the "V" grip will get ground down and/or a link will break. Take the time to take them off for paved roads, and put back on back on dirt, it'll save these chains!!!
One season plowing review:
They held up great... That means is nothing broke that couldn't be fixed by me. I never used the front chains, except when my back chain broke (outer link over main cam system), I took it off and used one front chain on a single back tire, to get me through that days job. worked fine! replaced outer link when I got home (see product link below)
On dually set, outer locking link broke; the link one that goes over the cam mechanism.
I got my replacements at a local tire shop for less than $1. I bought a few, knowing this would likely happen again. Tools you may consider to have to get these on: pliers, vice grips, big flat head screw driver, and a hammer to smash it down after it's on. Think chain size PAPER CLIP. Keep these on hand, and the tools in your truck's kit to replace these on the job.
YES, various chains bent and a few came off several times infer bending, and that's exactly what I'd expect from a chain used for heavy duty plowing. Sometimes chains just come off... that was my fault for not retightening several times as I plow. Easy to check the cams for tightening. Remember... Keep the cam tool in the tool box ON TRUCK. I have all four of my cam tools on hand.
Every year after plowing season ends, I lay my chains on a steel plate and go through every link... using a large hand held sledge and various hand tools for bending/smashing chain links back into position, or replace as needed.
I found about 8 or nine outer retainers that were starting to open a bit (see pic of a replacement new one)... some close to really opening up; so I bent them back into a closed position. Everyone should be doing this every year with your chains. It's not uncommon for the the outer chains clips to open up gradually over time. Start each season by inspecting these, smashing them down with a hand sledge as needed.
One item to have in a plow truck since I learned a lesson last year... bolt cutters. Big and heavy to keep in a truck, but would have saved my ass last year from changing out rear dually chains to a single front chain, if I could've just snipped the cross tire chain off; who's outer link had come off. I'll be throwing that into my "tool kit" this year.
I received my order on Friday, I placed my order Wednesday evening, I would say that is a great turnaround time, I feel the products I ordered are good quality and a fair price. I test fitted my chains and adjusters Saturday morning, I had to tweak one the chains a little and they seem great, thanks a lot, I feel I got a good fair deal.
We bought the chains for emergency use on our jeep, pick-up and suv, should we ever need the extra traction. The boys have only used them on the jeep, so far, to joyride through the fields full of Jonas-snow last winter. They worked great! Would highly recommend them and would buy again!
The chains work fine... even though I've never had the cam tighteners before I think it's a good idea. The multi-arm rubber tighteners are okay but for me the tradition "rubber band" type of tightener is easier to use. One thing is certain, it is almost pointless to use the single tire chains on a dually. The unchained tire stays on top of the surface while the chained tire digs a hole until you worse off than before you tried the chains. Good point that I was aware of but I had the chains before I bought the dually. Good lesson for your future customers though.
Deffinatly some diggers on icy dirt road haven't tried them on pavement yet
very loose on my 245/75/16 cams didn't do much they are so loose put some bunge cords on them help a little and first plow job and broke one latter so I don't see this going to good for me

Update- I put some d ring chain links in. so pretty much what I did is shorten front side by 2 links and back side by one link, it helped a lot but still loose. Most likely in the spring im going to have to shorten the chains by one latter. As for the latter I broke used a d ring chain loop to replace the loop I lost thats working good.
The five star rating is reflective of the product and the company. The product is as described on the website, instructions and use of cam tighteners were clear and chains were installed easily. For future reference, it is helpful having the tire sizes listed on the bag the chains come in. The chains will be used to plow a long, uphill driveway in northern Vermont. Received the chains yesterday, installed today on a 4WD truck and chains met all expectations.
The company website made determining the proper chain size easy.
Delivery and follow-up was prompt.
Great brand and easy to put on!
Traction is AMAZING with these chains, BUT never received the tool to tighten the cams. Been using a homemade tool I rigged up to tension them. Other than poor packaging, the chains themselves are amazing.
Great pricing excellent products and very fast shipping
These are the first set of chains I owned for a vehicle which is a 2003 e350 diesel van. These chains are easy to install and to take off. They turn my van into a tank. She crawled though thick heavy snow and even high amounts of the light fluffy snow as well. The wear after a year seems little to none. These are exactly what I needed and I’m so happy after a year.
I would recemond these tire chains. So far the chains have done a good job gripping the snow and ice as I have plowed up and down the hill of my long driveway.
I am very pleased with the ease of ordering the availability and pricing of these snow tire chains, and the process from ordering to having them delivered was very fast.
Ordered 2 types if chains, standard and cross bars.
Arrived earlier than expected.
Have them, hope not to use them.
Purchased for a 99 F350 dually.
Ordering was easy and follow up shows care for the customer.
Fit prefect
Have not actually had to use chains yet on the road but have installed them in driveway, fit properly and shipping was prompt and as promised. Second time I have ordered from Etrailer and have been very satisfied with service.
these chains are the best tool i've gotten in many years. plowed my driveway uphill (has to be done that way, it's steep and road is narrow) with 8" of wet snow, no spinning, sliding etc. these are best for off road or use in deep snow or on ice, it'd be really easy to tear up bare pavement with them.
My first order em with etrailer... remarkable communication and service. Chat function was helpful, price was good, order comms were good, and shipping only took two days from order across the country. And immediate follow up when delivered. Slick operation. Product seems quality though I haven’t installed yet.
As described. These are the actual chains. I'm happy. etrailer delivered as promised and demonstrated extra mile customer service to get me all ordered parts before my extended driving trip. Thank you.
Basic instructions would have been helpful for people that have never had to used chains before. So called common sense can get you in trouble, having to go back to the house 100' of 2' drift to get the pdf was for the birds. This comment in no way detracts from how the chains worked and how they were assembled. Time will tell with use but coming out of 2' drift worked well.
Great prices great service thanks
Bought these for my pickup with a plow on. Doesn't leave the property in the winter. A lot cheaper and convenient than purchasing snow tires and having to remove them in the spring. Definitely the way to go.
