Video Transcript for All You Need to Know About the Viair TLC PRO Portable Air Compressor

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Viair TLC PRO, 150 psi portable RV Air Compressor Kit. Now, this kit here will let you inflate your bike tires or your vehicle tires using this portable air compressor that'll connect directly to your vehicle's battery. Does have a maximum air pressure of 150 psi. And what's nice about this unit, it can be powered by the traditional battery clamps for portable use, or the compressor can be hard mounted and use these terminal rings that are rewired to your vehicle's battery.

The compressor charges the air reservoir to 150 psi, so it stores enough air to provide a blast for seating tubeless bicycle tires, running certain air tools, and it's even capable of inflating RV and truck tires up to 35 inch in diameter. It does include everything shown here on the table. It has this air compressor with the fused two-pin SAE connector and then that SAE connector can either be plugged into the two-pin SAE connector with the battery clamps, or the connector with the terminal rings, depending on what you're gonna use it as. It does come with this 30 foot long coiled air hose. Has this nice shop style inflator with the built-in 160 psi pressure gauge.

Comes with a nice blow gun. Right here is a 90 degree twist on Schrader attachment. Here you have the rebuildable Presta head attachment. And it comes with the three different inflation tips for your accessories and even a Presta valve adapter. Now, this Presta head here and this Presta valve adapter, that'll mainly be used on bicycle tires because those are the ones that will use the Presta valves.

Most of your vehicle tires use Schrader valves. It does come with the air filter with extra filters. Nice set of instructions, and a nice carrying bag. And actually at the end of this video, I am gonna show you how all of this will go into the carrying bag and you'll be able to carry it all in one bag. Now, the eight foot long fused two-pin SAE connector here.

We mentioned they'll plug into either one of these two foot long power cords, depending how you're gonna use it. And it'll be able to reach most battery locations. The battery clamps will connect directly to your vehicle's 12 volt battery. The terminal rings again will attach directly to the battery itself. Now, on the air compressor, on the very end you can see it has this built-in on and off switch. Now, I am gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power I got here and I am gonna use the battery clamps. So, we'll unplug this SAE connector, take off the plug there, go ahead and plug 'em in together. And once we get 'em pushed together then I'll use the battery clamps and we'll go ahead and hook this up. And once I get 'em hooked up, we'll go ahead and turn it on, just so you can hear the noise level of the air compressor. So, now we got it hooked up. You'll see here's your on and off switch. You see I flip it on. You can hear it. Filling up the air tank. And again, just switch it off like that. If need be, turn it back on. And what's nice, on this compressor it will vibrate but you can see it has a nice aluminum tray at the bottom with some isolators on it, rubber isolators. So, basically when it's vibrating, it won't be hopping around. This tray will absorb a lot of that and keep it in one place. Now, the 30 foot long coiled air hose here has the quick connectors on each end. These will connect to your air compressor and then on the other end you connect to whatever accessory you need. Right here, they have this 160 psi gauge that's built into this inflator. Gives you nice accurate reading of your air pressure and also what's nice, you have your handle here. And then on the side, you'll see this little button, that's a bleeder valve. So, if you put in too much air and you need to leave some out, just push that bleeder valve to release some of the air pressure. This here is a 10 inch long 90 degree twist on Schrader attachment. This will attach to your vehicle's tires. So, once you plug this into your air hose, just put that on your valve, some tighten it down, it'll hold it into place. We mentioned the rebuildable Presta head attachment for the bicycle tires and they say it's rebuildable. You can take it apart for easy cleaning. Has a nice blow gun that you can use to blowing dirt or anything off. And then you have your accessory tips right here. There's three of them, two plastic ones, a needle valve, and then also a Presta valve adapter here. So, you can use it on your bikes. Does come with the air filter. Now, the air filter will be attached to the end here when you install it. And a nice durable, rugged carrying bag for easy transport. Voltage on this is 12 volts. Maximum amp draws 30 amps, maximum air pressure 150 psi, and a maximum air flow of 2.62 cubic feet per minute. Now, the duty cycle on this air compressor is 33% at 100 psi, which is basically 20 minutes on and 40 minutes off. Weight on this unit, it's about 11.8 pounds, so just under 12 pounds. The length, overall length is 10 and seven eight inches. The width, the bottom would be the widest point. So, if we lift it up, from this end to this end it'd be five and eight inches wide. And then the height from the bottom to the very top is 7 1/2 inches tall. So, what I'm gonna do is, go ahead and disconnect this from our power. And then we'll go ahead and disconnect the battery cables and put our our plug back in and do the same on this end. And then what I'm gonna show you is, how this will all go into this nice storage bag. Now, this air filter and the filters will be attached when it's installed, so that you won't have to worry about, but I will put 'em in there just to show you how everything goes in there. Basically, you just unhook the two buckle clips there, take the lid off and then you'll have two zippers here that you can zip it almost all the way open. So, it gives you very large opening to put everything in. So, what I will first start with, is the air compressor. So, if we take that, go ahead and drop it into place, put it in there. We'll go ahead and take our different connectors, put that in there. And again, as I mentioned, we'll go ahead and put the air filter in there. I have our hose there. Blow gun, inflator, all that pretty much will go in there. And usually, what I'll do is, on the smaller parts, we'll go ahead and put our instructions in here. On the smaller parts, you'll see there's a nice pocket on the side. And over here there's some pockets like, if you wanna slip some tools or gauges in there. But what I'm gonna do is, in this pocket on the side, we'll put all our smaller items, so they won't get lost. And we'll do the inflator valve there, put that together, go ahead and zip this top all part all up. And then right here, is a separate compartment that you can put your coiled hose in and it also has two zippers. And we'll go ahead and just put those back inside, so they're out of the way. And then you can put your coil hose right into that compartment. Take your zippers, zip those shut. And with everything put away, we'll take our lid and flip it over, clip both buckles. And then you have a nice durable handle right up at the top here that you could carry the bag wherever you need be and have everything all in one place. But that should do it for the review on this Viair TLC PRO, 150 psi portable RV Air Compressor Kit..
