The Limited Edition tonneau has all the features of the original Access cover, plus a half-dozen extras. This truck bed cover rolls up so that you can haul bulky items and rolls down to shield and secure your vehicle's bed and cargo. The custom-fit tonneau sits 1-1/2" above your truck bed and keeps air from getting caught by the tailgate, thus reducing drag. That can improve your gas mileage by up to 10 percent. And the exclusive Access Slantback fit angles toward your tailgate to give your truck a stylish, streamlined look.
Velcro closures on the sides help seal the cover to your truck box and allow you to peel it back quickly for easy access. The tonneau stores neatly behind your cab, secured by premium storage straps that are designed to keep the cover from rubbing against the cab.
Customize the cover tension by turning the XT-Dial easy-grip tension adjuster at the front of the cover, near your cab. The cover is constructed of double coated, reinforced UV-blocking vinyl, so it won't fade in the hot sun. The material stays flexible down to -40 F and won't shrink, regardless of the temperature. Black powder coated aluminum bows line the underside of the tonneau and act as ribbing that supports the cover and makes it easy to roll up.
The Element weather seal at the cab end and a reinforced vinyl flap at the tailgate help to keep out dirt, rain, snow, and ice. The premium TrailSeal tailgate gasket runs along the sides and bottom of your tailgate opening to help eliminate gaps and block out the elements.
The contoured, black powder coated aluminum tonneau rails resist rust. They sit inside your truck bed side rails so that you can still use stake-pocket-mounted accessories, such as a ladder rack or tie-down anchors. Easily install the rails on a truck with an under-the-rail, drop-in bed liner. Over-the-rail liners can be cut to allow room for the installation clamps.
The tonneau's rails attach easily to your truck bed side rails using Tight Bite clamps. The specially designed teeth on these clamps seize the integrated ridges in the rails, ensuring a firm grip. And the clamps are fitted with tie-down rings that help you secure your cargo.
Once the tonneau cover is unrolled and in place, the AutoLatch II dual locking system automatically engages 2 locks - 1 on each side - to hold the tonneau closed. To unlatch the cover, simply pull the cord for easy, one-hand operation. And locking the cover won't interfere with your tailgate - open and close it as usual or add a tailgate lock (sold separately) to get secure storage for your cargo. Along with the AutoLatch II, tie-down rings, and TrailSeal gasket, the Access Limited tonneau also includes 3 other handy extras. The battery-operated LED light illuminates your truck bed, saving you from fumbling around in the dark. Thoroughly impressed with this cover after 1 year. Keeps bed dry, performs great going down the road too. The light and grab bar are a great bonus. Looks great still, no fading. Get compliments on it all the time since you don’t ever see them on OBS step-side trucks. Highly recommend etrailer for this product.
Am very happy with this year old tonneau cover from etrailer.it is so versatile and with gas prices as they are will get better mpg closing tha bed off,by 3-4 mpg I've done the math,before and after.was getting 17mpg now 20mpg.but love it,I maintained it once a month.also was looking everywhere for a tonneau cover for a stepside,and etrailer hooked me up,and etrailer will hook you up to peole.
This cover is everything I expected and then some. It was easy to install and adjust. It's a solid cover with built in support bars that keeps the cover tight. it keeps my contents dry yet rolls up when I need the entire bed and the best part is I can still see out the back window (unlike some of the tri-folds). Highly recommended.
Packaged for shipment with attention to details like making sure the cover was wraped well fro transit. Fit the truck like a glove, Looks great on the truck. Instructions were clear and easy to understand.
It was relatively easy to install. Quality looks good!
The tonneau by Access is great as usual with good fit and quality. The tonneau is capable of handling high tension which helps prevent pooling. There is barely any rain water standing. The effect is almost like a solid surface. Caution on the ladder racks you pair them with though as the rack may prevent the tonneau from gaining maximum tension wich will cause more pooling than desired. I paired the with the recommended TracRac for the sliding adjustable rails. They do fit however the bulky base rail of the TracRac is too close to the sides of the tonneau and prevents my fingers from getting in there to pull the tonneau tight on the velcro sides. It's doable but very time consuming and not ideal if you open and close the tonneau frequently. I would propose that Access make some design tweaks to resolve this and better complement the TracRac base rails since it is one of the few racks that have a high load capacity. Other than that the tonneau cover is the best quality I have used for a roll up. Still have the same one on my 03 Dakota since 2008.
This is my second Access cover and love them. After 6 years the first one needed new velcro and got excellent customer service. This cover came with a very sturdy hook to retrieve stuff that slides forward in the truck bed. I have found this is handy for all kinds of things. Wouldn't wan't to be without it.
These tops roll up very easy when needed and keep everything clean and dry when rolled out. Most versatile top for me.
Unfortunately I a unable to give an accurate review of the cover due to a vehicle fire shortly after installation. The time I had the cover it worked well except the side clamps would loosen.
This product had to be direct shipped from the manufacturer. I was worried it wouldn't arrive on time prior to my trip. No worries needed. Came in well before I expected it. This cover fits better than other covers I had on past trucks. Etrailer comes through again. I have never had an issue with any of my orders from Etrailer for the last 15 years.
I've had this tonneau cover for over a year now and it looks and functions like new. Highly recommend this tonneau.
The cover was easy to install. One of the clamps was slightly bent from shipping or mfr damage, but still managed to clamp effectively. Overall, great look and easy install.
Still works and looks great after one year! Very pleased with our tonneau as it has met all of our expectations during our full time RV travels.
