I have a 16x7 v nose trailer I installed this in. I insulated the roof with foam sheets cut to size but the walls and floor are not insulated. I had to brace the roof of the trailer in order to support the weight of the unit. Overall it’s better than nothing and lowers the temp 10-15* below ambient which makes it bearable inside of the trailer. My 2000w generator was not able to power it so I bought one of the predator 3500w generators and it does great. It will last around 7 hours on a tank of fuel.

Easy to use RTV type sealant. I used this to seal around replacement vents in the roof of my Airstream. My only complaint is that it is not self leveling. otherwise it's a good sealant that should last for years.

Comments
If you would like a self leveling sealant in the future, I recommend LaSalle Bristol Universal Self-Leveling Sealant in white part # 34427034145-1
LaSalle Bristol XTRM Universal Self-Leveling Sealant - White - 10.1 oz - Qty 1
$8.82
. This universal sealant will adhere to all RV roof materials such as aluminum, brass, steel, glass, mortar, wood, PVC, EPDM, TPO, and TPV.

IT WAS SILICONE IN A TUBE. SEEMED TO WORK GOOD.

- 0160297
by:

The TremPro sealant was very thick and set very rapidly. I had expected it to self level, which it did not do at all. I had to smooth it like spreading thick frosting on a cake.

- 0160297
by:

Pretty much when they packed my stuff in the box they jammed everything in and then made it impossible to use because the jammed everything in. Super not cool. This is lazy customer service.

- 0160297
by:

No leaks holding up good after 1 year.

- 0160297
by:

I was able to seal my vent with two small easy flowing lines of this sealant minimizing any spillover giving a neat finished job.

- 0160297
by:

Perfect! Exactly what we needed thank you so much!

- 0160297
by:

This silicone sealant did a great job! With some restraint was able to use 1 tube for installation of 2 Ventadome Roof Vents, 2 Camco RV Plumbing Vents and 2 running light fixtures, all victims of the massive 5/8/17 hail storm in Denver. I had enough left over to touch-up the roof caulking. This sealant cures a bit slowly and gave me plenty of time to complete the installations. Some caulks set-up quickly and don't give you much working time.

- 0160297
by:

Delivered a day early.

- 0160297
by:

Excellent product. I used it to seal a camco plumbing vent on my travel trailer which has a plywood roof covered with a vinyl material.

- 0160297
by:

Everything was great. I only wish that the butyl tape roll was suggested as required to install and seal the vent. I would have purchased it together. I only purchased the tube of the seal. so I had to go buy a roll to finish the installation. I would have definitely paid extra for shipping if I knew it would take over a week. I had to wait over a week for the free shipping route, but that was my bad. All else great. Thank you

- 0160297
by:

The TremPro 644 seems to be working fine. The only problem I had was getting it out of the tube. It may be that I needed to punch a larger hole in the seal or cut the tip down a little further than I did. I have done a "lot" of caulking and I didn't seem to have this problem. Also, being up on the top of a ladder made it a little difficult, so it was probably the "applicators" fault.

- 0160297
by:

I haven’t used The product just yet, but I’m impressed with the shipping and response time! Thanks God Bless!

Good product. Went down smoothly and did some self leveling. Sealed up several new tank vents and at least from my perspective, it was a lot easy to work with than some of the competitors, such as DAP.

- 0160297

I power washed the roof of the trailer before I applied the TremPro 644. Some of the edges are peeling

- 0160297

Replacement for original product. Same quality and fit with no adjustments needed. Service from etrailer was timely.

Just what I ordered & looks like it will do the job I got the MaxxAir fan for. And the sealer as you pictured! Thanks!

by:

This process was the easiest online purchase I’ve made so far. Tracking was perfect and I was able to follow the delivery from start to finish. Thanks for making life a little easier!

- 0160297
by:

Product fit great. Instructions show measurements for drill holes for mounting and be sure to get proper caulk for roof, my vent was a clip in so I needed to drill holes. If yours is screwed on just remove and install. No more than 1 hour to complete.

- 0160297
by:

It seemed to do the job of sealing around a new power roof vent . will seem if it rains in the near future, which I hope it doesn't we have had our share of that.

Thank you for checking in with me. All parts were correct, fast delivery, great prices, and when in doubt the how to videos are so very helpful. Will order more in the future I am sold on etrailer. Thank you.

  • Sealant for RV Windows Recommendation
For sealing camper windows we recommend the TremPro 644 Silicone Sealant # 0160297. The Silicone sealant is applied as a thick liquid to parts before assembly or in seams after assembly to create a waterproof bond in a variety of applications. It can seal doors, windows, vents and other areas in enclosed trailers where water could enter.

  • Trailer Roof Vent Replacement For Thin Roof
Replacement screens are designed to fit specific models of trailer vents, and there isn't an option for one with similar dimensions to yours. Since the company went out of business and there aren't going to be replacements, the only recommendation I can offer is a new vent. It sounds like you have the standard 14" x 14" roof vent (technically it is 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" though), and a thin roof based on the garnish dimensions. So for that the best option is the MaxxAir Mini Trailer Roof...

  • Removing Old Caulk around a Vent on a Rubber Roof
Some people have used a veneer knife with or without teeth. If it does have teeth make sure the teeth are not offset (one tooth pointed left and the next pointed right and so on) otherwise it can damage the rubber roof. Flat blade or blade with teeth with all teeth leaning the same direction. Some say not to remove it at all and instead use a product called Eternabond (we do not have this product). caulk generally comes off pretty easy once you get it started so I would start with the...

I strongly recommend the TremPro 644 Silicone Sealant # 0160297. I used this sealant on my trailer when I replaced a roof vent about 4 years ago and it is still going strong. This sealant does a great job at holding up to dramatic temperature changes without shrinking, drying up or cracking. It is gray in color, but it can be painted.
