2004 Acura TL - Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights

  • Removable Tail Light Kit
  • Bypasses Vehicle Wiring
  • Universal
  • Magnetic Mount
  • Roadmaster

Avoid tapping into your towed Acura TL's electrical system by using these self-contained tow lights. Heavy-duty magnets keep lights securely in place on your towed car.

  • Allows you to legally tow your car without having to tap into its wiring
  • Eliminates risk of electrical damage to towed car
  • Attaches securely with magnets
  • Connects directly to motor home wiring, bypassing towed vehicle completely
  • Has heavy-duty vinyl casing for superior protection of wiring
  • Meets Department of Transportation standards
  • Fits all vehicles
  • Includes 2 lights and wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector
  • Length of wire:
    • Wire that connects the lights: 53-1/2"
    • Wire that extends out the back of the light: 243"
    • Wire with 4-pole connector: 35-1/2"
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

The law requires that all towed cars have functional signal and brake lights in sync with the RV towing them. Most wiring kits require you to splice into your vehicle's electrical system, but doing this can void your manufacturer's warranty. Magnetic tow lights avoid this problem by having the wiring run underneath your car and plug into your power source.

Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights - RM-2120

Average Customer Rating:  4.8 out of 5 stars   (26 Customer Reviews)

Avoid tapping into your towed vehicle's electrical system by using these self-contained tow lights. Heavy-duty magnets keep lights securely in place on your towed car.

Heavy duty magnets gave me the security of knowing they wouldn’t come off. Very easy to install!

Works as intended. No issues.

2005 Subaru Forester

I like these lights, nice strong magets hold them securely to car roof. I use them because my bikes in bags cover my tail lights. I added LED bulbs because when I tow the car with my RV these additional lights put to much load causing voltage drop and dim lights.

These lights are still working well only improvement I could suggest is if they could somehow maybe put up plastic layer between the magnets and the roof because they’re taking paint off, if they could still make the magnet is strong.

Jeep Wrangler

I purchased the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms - Car Mount - 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs. initially I was Leary of the product because of its low price compared to other tow bars. I now can say my concerns were needless because after flat towing my Wrangler over 5,000 trouble-free miles I have nothing negative but only positives to report. The best thing I like about the tow At is that it only takes 5 minutes to attach and unhook.

Have not hooked up yet. But ordering and delivery are great

I looked everywhere for these lights. Lots of cheep ones out there for 2-2X $$ but these are the real deal and a great price. Shipment was early and response was great. Thank you for the quality product.

2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Everything was delivered on time and worked perfectly. This solved my concerns about towing my car with my RV with a car dolly.

Fast delivery. Did a test as soon as I received the light kit. Flawless. Magnets very strong but safe for car finish.

2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Very strong magnets and plenty of length on the cord for a car in tow.

Works great!!

Very simple product. Exactly what I wanted. I need to do something more permanent but this worked for our trip. The most important thing was I needed it fast and I got it in time.
Friendly and informative people on the phone were knowledgeable and new their product. I will shop here again.

lights look fine....

easy hitch
is far better than I expected....very nice. I should have gotten this sooner!!!

I did a mock-up set-up and this kit works as advertised.
Magnetic bases are strong, it should fit my needs perfectly.

These are the products that we needed and you were able to provide them.

2010 Mini Cooper

  • What Type of 4-Way Connector is Attached to the RoadMaster Standard Magnetic Tow Light # RM-2120
The 4-way that attaches to the RoadMaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights # RM-2120 is a female connector. It also comes with an extension piece that has a male end as well that does have a protective cover.

  • Compatibility of Roadmaster # RM-2120 Magnetic Tow Lights with 2011 Cadillac SRX
When the # RM-2120 lamps are installed on your vehicle, they will operate completely independently of the lights on the towed vehicle. As long as your RV has a properly installed 4-way trailer connector for the magnetic lamps to plug into, all should work just fine. You mentioned that the RV has a 'separate' lighting system, which would use an amber turn signal bulb or have an amber turn signal lens. A properly installed 4-way will be already converted so the turn signal and brake lamp...

  • Can A Magnetic Light Kit be Used at the Same Time as a Tow Dolly Light Kit
As long as the power draw from the lights on the tow dolly and the magnetic lights does not exceed the amperage rating of the tow package wiring on the RV then you can just tap the magnetic kit into the tow dolly wiring harness. What I recommend is to tap into the tow bar wiring using the short wiring harness in # RM-2120 that you referenced. That way when it is not needed you can just put the cap on it and secure it to the tow dolly or RV. But you must make sure that the combined power...

  • Can Magnetic Light Kit # RM-2120 Wiring Be Attached Directly to the 7-Way Connector of a Tow Dolly
You could potentially install the magnetic light kit # RM-2120 in the manner you have described. However, you would need to make sure the magnetic lights wiring is connected on the tow dolly side connector for easy installation and removal. Adding more wires to the 7-Way can increase the chances of a short circuit and there may not even be room depending on the gauge of wire used on the tow dolly. If there is no room or it looks like the wires for adjacent circuits could touch, I recommend...

  • Can Brake Light Relay RM-88400 Be Installed on a 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited
The problem with the 2018 Jeep JL Wranglers is that the circuit you need to install the brake light relay # RM-88400 is inaccessible but it isn't required on this vehicle. When your JL Wrangler is set up in flat tow mode (see owner's manual) the brake light circuit is not active. That is why we do not list it for that particular vehicle. When in flat tow mode it will work fine. Or you can avoid all together by going with magnetic light kit # RM-2120. If your braking system has a monitor...

To use the Roadmaster Even Brake Braking System, # RM-9400, in your 2011 HHR, you will simply install the braking system using the installation instructions that came with the Even Brake system. The only difference in the installation is that you will use the 2nd Vehicle Kit, # RM-98400, instead of the parts that were included with the Even Brake system. The first step to install this kit is to find a suitable location for the breakaway switch and the ICX transmitter. The breakaway switch...

  • Recommend Wiring Kit to Flat-Tow 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
For lighting, there are a few options, you could use the Magnetic Towing Light Kit, part # RM-2120, which would be good if you do not tow often. These lights attach to your vehicle by magnets. If you plan to tow your Jeep often, I would recommend the item you selected, Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, part # RM-154, which is a more permanent solution. From the information I found, your Jeep should have a combined tail and turn signal (see FAQ install). I have linked a video...

You can use the Invisibrake, # RM-8700, with a magnetic lighting system by splicing into the 4 wires on the magnetic lighting system. The only difference from the instructions is that the magnetic light ground has to grounded to the Jeep chassis rather than through the 4-Way connector. The brake switch is located above the brake pedal. On a 1997 Jeep Wrangler the wire you need on the brake switch is a white/tan wire. The easiest way to get to it is the direct approach. • Wiring 2010 Toyota Corolla for Dolly Towing Behind RV
Usually, a tow dolly will have its own taillight set-up, and the vehicle wouldn't require its own lights be used. On your 2015 Ford F-150, we have a couple options for you to choose when wiring your vehicle up for flat towing. This kit includes the diodes and wire that will allow you to hard wire into your Ford's lighting wiring harness.
