Today we're going to be taking a look at a shackle with a screw pin from Brophy. This is going to provide a secure connection point for winching and towing setups. These shackles are great for connecting recovery straps, tow straps and tree saver straps. The unit's designed to secure quickly and easily. It's got the very easy to use screw pin. All you have to do is twist the pin in and out and you can easily do that by hand.
The unit's made from a corrosion resistant galvanized steel construction, nice strong durable design. It's going to feature a safe working load limit of 6,500 pounds and it's going to feature a maximum load or break strength rating of 13,000 pounds. A few measurements I want to go over with you real quick. The shackle diameter, so the diameter of this portion right here is going to measure seven eighths of an inch. If we take a diameter measurement of the screw pin, that's going to give us a diameter, it looks to measure right at one inch. The opening, right here from edge to edge, inside to inside, that's going to give us a measurement of about an inch and a half.
The width, right here at the widest point inside, we're looking about two and one quarter. If we take a measurement from the top of the pin to the bottom of the shackle, that's going to give us a measurement of about three and one quarter inches. That's going to do it for today's look at the shackle with screw pin from Brophy.
