Note: This mirror will not fit paddle style mirrors or mirrors with puddle lamps.
This should be what the mirror looks like on the vehicle. The towing mirror will slide over this mirror.
The custom slide-on mirrors will NOT fit over the mirror pictured here. This mirror bulges out across the bottom making it too wide for the Original Custom Towing Mirror to slide over. The custom towing mirror will also not fit if there is a light in the mirror housing underneath the mirror.
The mirror is secured by the hook and knob. The hook grabs the front edge of the mirror housing while the knob ensures a tight fit.

I bought this mirror set for a 2004 Ford Ranger about a year ago. This Ranger has manual mirrors, so adjusting even the stock mirrors is a pain. After I installed them, I wasn't so sure I had made a good purchase, as it really didn't cover my blind spot. Well.... a year later, I did some more mirror adjusting and they work great. Being manual mirrors, it was very difficult to get the mirrors perfect, but we finally got them dialed in to cover blind spots and the traffic directly behind the small overland trailer I pull. I'm glad to have made the purchase, They should be great on electric mirrors. BTW... they even took a bird strike at 70mph with no issues (sorry bird...RIP)!!
First time buyer on etrailer and I have been pleasantly surprised by the effort to get my order shipped asap and the follow up. Not to say the product worked and fit perfectly. We are not pleased with product...put them on which was a struggle...both top pieces broke off...a very thin line of glue is all that held them on..we finally got them glued back together and made them work. Cheap made product for $[xx]
Great mirrors. Fit perfectly
I actually purchased 2 sets of these mirrors. One for my Chevy S 10 and another for my Ford Explorer Sport Track. I regularly tow a 24 ft pontoon boat that is 8 ft wide. These mirrors work very well. I can see all the way to the tail end of the boat on the drivers side. This is the more important side for me. The passenger side visibility is not quite as good. I have to be very careful when switching back to the right lane when on a dual lane highway. All and all I highly recommend these mirrors. Keep in mind, this is a huge object I'm towing. I would not think of towing my pontoon boat without these great mirrors. Someone towing an average size trailer or boat should have great visibility on both sides. These mirrors definitely add a "comfort factor," when towing a boat or trailer. They are easy to install and are very stable. I definitely would recommend them !
Mirror fit perfectly, feels very secure. Now when pulling my travel trailer I can see whats coming on either side. Easy to remove when I don't need them.

These fit my 1997 Ford Explorer well. I was always afraid that the ones I'd bought at an auto parts store would fly off. This are quite secure and hold their adjustment well.
Ernest - 09/19/2019I like the way the mirrors fit over the existing mirrors. They fit tight and very well secured. For me the mirror on the left side works very well. It jiggles some, but I can see much better behind my trailer than I could without it. The mirror on the right doesn't work as well. Part of the problem is that the trailer's A/C unit is in the way; the other problem, though, is that the mirror (just the mirror, not the whole unit) jiggles very much with the road vibrations. It would be good if one could set the mirror and then, somehow, tighten it so it does not jiggle. The were extremely easy to install.

The clamp interferes with the electric mirror movement. A better method to secure the mirrors to the truck would be a bungee/ball cord instead of the cheap plastic hook. Other than that the mirrors are acceptable.

Easy to attach. Mirrors stay where they are adjusted to. Worth the price. More vibration than expected. Does not provide enough of an extended view to see past the edge of an 8 foot camping trailer width. Would be better if each mirror extended about 4 inches wider. Works great when towing a utility trailer that is 6-7 feet wide.
I haven't had time to try these on the road yet . But I have put them on the truck. Looks and fits good. I'll give more feed back later.
kerry l - 03/21/2020Entire assembly vibrated a lot from the wind. Due to vibration, mirrors would not stay properly adjusted. Very disappointed. Threw them out halfway through first trip. Basically a useless waste of money
So I took a chance on these Mirrors fitting my 2004 Ford Explorer I studied the pictures on etrailer and they looked like they should fit and they fit perfect. Easy to install and remove and look good on the Explorer. I did not really want a universal mirror I'm very satisfied with the CTM 2200A custom Mirrors and glad I took the chance.
The mirrors were very easy to install and do increase slightly the viewing area to the sides of my trailer. They take a little "getting used to" because when I check my rear view mirrors I'm presented with two views which is a little confusing at first. I was disappointed to discover that they don't provide better view of vehicles that are directly behind my unit. The ordering, shipping and followup procedures by etrailer.com are truly commendable and their customer service is noteworthy. They will now be my first choice when searching for trailer products.
I purchased these mirrors for a 2002 Ford Ranger, I previously used the strap on type, and these are hands down a better product. Easy, straight forward installation with minimal vibration, unlike the strap on kind. They fit like a glove I recommend them for anyone looking for after market towing mirrors.
The side mirror extensions I received fit perfectly and were easy to install.

Harry - 04/05/2015Bought the mirror extensions for a Ford Ranger, they fit like a glove. Very little mirror vibration while traveling and they extend far enough so I can see both sides of a pontoon boat. They attach via a simple but secure arrangement -I'm sure that's why there is so little vibration.
Love this mirror. It never gets loose and it shows me everything around so I can drive my camper safely. I tried the strap down mirrors and had to check them every rest stop or I would lose them. I hardly think of these except to say "thanks" when I can see another car creeping up beside me or I need to pass someone.
