Minimize grease leakage and maximize the life of your trailer's grease seals by switching to this smooth-operating system. The high-quality neoprene seals ride on consistently greased stainless steel rings for easy, free movement.
Features:
Specs:
The high-quality seal in this unique kit is made of neoprene, a flexible, synthetic rubber that remains stable even at high temperatures. Unlike typical grease seals, which wear as they ride along rough surfaces, this neoprene seal rides on a smooth, durable stainless steel ring. By using this grease seal set along with your Bearing Buddy bearing protector, you can be sure that the seal and ring always have adequate grease for fluid operation.
Note: If your axle spindles already have permanent, stainless steel surface rings, you do not need this spindle seal system.

Instructions are little vague, but that's because the install is so simple.
My order had grease seals that were not available, and definitely held up the order for a bit. All good though. I'm in a rush to get this camper ready, and will not blame it on anyone. I could have ordered them earlier on this winter. etrailer is the best, and I tell my trailer hauling co-workers about my orders. One of the best parts of these orders is that you can click on your email reply (among other places) that says manage order. Then you have videos available showing how to install your parts. Nice! I knew what I was doing, but the races seals caps video showed how the caps were shipped backwards in the assembly. The video took the confusion out of it all. Thank you bearded guy in the video, "Trailer Bearings Races Seals and Caps Rebuild". Your the best.
You wanted a reply, and I gave it. There's no login to an account to keep track of orders, or to have a way to keep track of my projects though. I don't have a business, but I do have multiple projects as a part time thing that is/will be on-going. Am I missing something?

Had a problem with a axle that had damage from a bearing gone bad which damaged where the seal rides. The seal kit fixed the problem.
This is the only seal kit listed for LM48548 or L68149 bearings and the three sizes of bearing buddies, but etrailer doesn't note that there are at least two different axle sizes that use those bearings and bearing buddies. I missed the axle size listing buried in the specs, then inserted one seal into the hub before seeing that it was the wrong size for the axle, couldn't return the kit after ruining the seal getting it out of the hub. Shame on me for not reading all the details. Shame on etrailer for not noting that there are different axles applicable.
My boat trailer axle spindle was damaged seriously on one trip. With this spindle seal, it just work for me. I don't need to replace my axle. And it works great.
Great for those damaged axles and also works for marine use.
Trying to find the right parts was exhausting, going to auto parts store after store. Should've came here first and saved lots of frustration and time. It worked great and was just what I needed to get my bearings and Buddys back on. I'm back on the road with my 1985 Boat trailer.
My galvanized boat trailer was made 34 years ago. Thru the years my stockpile of hub grease seals had become exhausted. I contacted the original manufacture's parts department, who were very helpful, but couldn't come up with my seal. They didn't recognize their old kit number from 34 years ago. I tied local stores for seals in my area to no avail. I then went online and found etrailer.com. They had the Buddy Bearing Seal Set #BB60002 which was exactly what I needed and like what I bought from the original manufacture 34 years ago. I will be going to etrailer.com for all my trailer needs.
The addition of the metal ring keeps the hub seated slightly further out on the spindle. This caused me to have to really crank down on the crown nut, just to be able to get the cotter pin in. Of course this kept the wheel from spinning freely, and surely would have fried the bearings.
I tore it out and replaced it with the normal seals.
Don't bother with these. The double-lip seals that come with the e-trailer bearing kits are just fine.
Fits perfectly and delivered ahead of s chedule
Ended up changing to other type of spindles so can grease from inside bearing to outside. Buggy bearings always seem to be either leaking water in of grease out. I will never use buddy bearing setup again if I can help it.
Everything worked great except for the spindle seal. I tried to get answers from the company that made the product to no avail and had to go with a normal seal rather then bearing buddy.
Installed the other day. Went down and dipped the trailer in the ocean and brought the boat home. The grease is still the right color and no spatters on the inside rim of the wheel.
Looks good so far.
Work as advertised, removed the BB the other day to inspect, no sign of water intrusion. BB coupled with the double lip grease seals are the ticket to long bearing life.
Shipped fast. Arrived on time. Saved 40% over other vendors. Would buy again from eTrailer. Excellent service and communication.

My 2 cents.. While I get the concept, there are some things to look out for with this kit. I have had the same boat trailer for 5 years and trailer a lot. Never had a wheel bearing fail in 30 years. I have also been an auto mechanic for 30 years as well. Since the seals surfaces were getting a little rough and not sealing very well anymore, I decided to try the spindle kit. Couple things didnt work out. 1 the ID on the rings fit too tight on the seal shoulder on the spindle and and caused a none solid surface for the inner bearing to butt up against and made tightening the spindle nut was tricky. Had a little bit of a squishing effect. It also moved the nut out so I could only fit one half of the codder pin through the spindle. Drove it 5 miles and lost the bearing buddie on one side. Rechecked the spindle nut and was too loose. readjusted and drove again and lost another bearing buddie. Apparently this kit was not a good fit for my particular spindles. Same trailer etc I have been working with for years. They loosened up when driving and the wheel knocking back and forth ver every bump knocks the bearing buddie off. Going back to speedy sleeves and double lipped seals. Anyway, thought I would pass this along to save someone else some trouble.
This Bearing Buddy seal kit is a great concept on paper. This kit may work well on highway only applications. I used this kit on a boat trailer application and it was a disaster. The first problem encountered is this kit eliminates the best feature of a E-Z Lube 3500# trailer axle. That feature is the ability to pump grease into the hub without any disassembly. The second shortcoming of this design is the entire inner seal assembly is centered and retained by a tiny single O-ring. The trailer this kit was installed on has disc brakes. After one road trip the O-rings shrunk /cracked causing the inner seal race to loose contact with the axle. This caused the grease to leak out all over the rotors and calipers. That is not worst part. It was later determined that the seal kit did not even last long enough on the first trip to function as described. Upon teardown of all four hubs it was clear the hubs flooded with water at the first launching of the boat. Between the mess made on the trailer brake hardware and the water soaked hubs I can not recommend this seal kit for boat trailer applications.
I was skeptical, I’ve tried many things to get my axle seals from leaking (my axles are worn and actually need to be replaced. But replacing boat axles is easier said than done) and for the last seven years they’ve leaked and I’ve repacked and replaced my bearings every year. Last year I replaced the axle seal with these Buddy bearing seal kit.
To my surprise, I had no water in my 4 hubs this spring from last year. I definitely recommend them.
Of course I had to add the stainless Buddy Bearing hubs covers as well...
Bearing Buddy products are high quality and a great price and made in the U.S.A., I use them on all of my trailers. etrailer.com has an great web-site and fast shipping.
Easy shopping, fast service, and a good price. Will order again.
Bearing buddy spindle sleeve savers were easy to install and should work great. I should have purchased the seal removal tool to get the old seal out, but even without, I was able to replace the inner seals in less than an hour. We'll see how long they last. Extremely satisfied with etrailer customer service. One part was missing from the package and they sent me a replacement quickly.
Used on 1976 Ranger trailer went on great and used same slots and pin when I tightened the bearings. I also used Bearing Buddies with this seal. No grease inside my wheels and definitely an upgrade from 1976 standards
I looked locally for the bearing and seal sleeve I needed but nobody carried it. I called Etrailer and got Ian on the line. With only dimensions from the bearing and the seal from online research Ian was able to match up the parts I needed. Fast, intelligent and helpful service. I will go directly to etrailer next time and save me all the phone calls and running around.
a year later and the bearings have no water in them
Parts were as ordered. Very satisfied. Part of the order was back ordered so it held up the entire. Would like to be notified so we could split the order if needed. Linda did help with getting me the parts l needed and left the back order for later. Thanks very much.
B60002 seal kit. Used these a few times now on 2 different trailers. Guys have no want to replace a worn axle due to seal surfaces being worn and these bought them some extra time. When nothing else sealed right, these did the trick! Than you
