Today we're going to take a look at the Lippert Components clear oil cap kit. This is a clear polycarbonate cap that'll screw into your 10,000-lb. to a 16,000-lb. oil bath hub. Allows for better seal retention and it'll give you visual inspection of your oil level in the axle.It includes this O-ring here and the rubber plug, which I've already installed for a complete seal. The O-ring will basically install on over the threads, push it all the way down, and then when you go to thread this into your hub, it gives you a good seal after it's tightened down.
The rubber plug here, this can be removed if oil's needed to be put into the hub. Outside diameter on this is going to be right at four inches, but that should do it for the review on the Lippert Components clear oil cap kit.

I recently had to replace a hub two tires and all bearing due to a bearing going out on my trailer. I am not sure if it got low on oil or the cap fell off but either way these clear caps are way better as they will allow me to easily check to see that the oil level is adequate with just a glance.
