Easily installed, works fine!
A nearly
exact replacement for the trailer's original unit.

by:

Im sure it works fine. I have tested it on occasion and it works. I haven't had the opportunity to actually depend on it to stop the trailer under accident conditions. I'm quite satisfied with it.

Everything I get from etrailer has been great. Most recent order arrived with the box opened (a box with the stuffings hanging out). Looks like it had been dropped kicked, but everything was there and in working order. I dropped on star for the delivery condition, but that's likely on USPS more than etrailer.

by:

It took a little time in getting our order but EVERY ONE WAS VERY NICE AND KEEP ME INFORM AT ALL TIMES SO THAT WAS NICE THANK YOU NIKI

by:

Everything you need in a comprehensive kit.

by:

The box is thick and I think it will be durable but I think it has major design flaws:
-The box sides have to be pushed into place to mate with the gasket in the lid.
-It relies on the rubber gasket to seal out water. I think I would rather have a box with a lid that hangs over the top of the box so that rain water just drips down on the outside of the box without having the opportunity to get inside. Other battery boxes have this design.

by:

Still going strong after a year.

by:

I made the purchase for a neighbor. They were very pleased with the complete transaction, quality, ease of installation.

by:

One year later and everything is still working perfectly fine. We'll buy more for the rest of our trucks at my company.

by:

The complete process worked well and everything was delivered on time and correct

by:

  • Is a Fuse Needed on Red Wire for Bright Way Trailer Breakaway Kit 2337
In regards to the Bright Way Trailer Breakaway Kit part # 3802337, there is no fuse on the red wire between the breakaway battery box and truck battery. This circuit is already protected on the truck side near the battery. The red wire goes directly from the breakaway battery box to the trailer connector.

  • How to Remove Battery Bank From AC/DC Setup on 2007 Rockwood Lite Trailer
Yes, you can ditch your battery bank and run everything off of shore power, but you will need to reconfigure a few things first - it's not as simple as disconnecting the battery and heading out. Disconnect the positive and negative connections from your battery and connect them to the DC panel to power your DC appliances. You'll also need to tie in any other DC powered things like jacks that may have been connected straight to the battery. Also, check on your breakaway battery. Some trailers...

  • How Long Will Battery of Bright Way Trailer Breakaway Kit Last
The battery that comes with the Bright Way Trailer Breakaway Kit with Switch, 12V, 5-Amp-Hour Battery, and Charger # 3802339 is a 12 volt sealed lead-acid battery and these batteries have a life cycle that can vary quite a bit, but typically it has quite a long life of 3-5 years, which is what you should expect with this kit. The battery, for which the replacement is part # 3801250 will constantly be charged when you install it on the trailer. This kit has a charger and connects to your...

  • Will Breakaway Kit With Built-In Battery Charger Interfere With Breakaway Sensor on 2019 Ford F-150
You should not have any issues using the Hopkins Trailer Breakaway Kit with Built-In Battery Charger # HM20001 on your trailer hooked up to your 2019 Ford F-150. The built-in charger automatically refuels the battery when connected to the tow vehicle. Although we do not have any information or reports on an F-150 sensor for breakaway batteries, the draw from the charger would likely trigger the same on your vehicle. To be sure, I recommend contacting your local dealer to ask how this...

  • Parts Needed to Charge Auxiliary Trailer Battery Without Draining Truck Battery
What you need is the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger - Single Input - DC to DC - 12V/24V - 12 Amp # RED96FR. This will allow you to pull power from the vehicle battery to charge your auxiliary battery on your trailer. The fault recognition technology prevents damage to batteries from voltage spikes, overheating, and reverse polarity connection. It also has a battery isolator function to prevent the charger from pulling power when the vehicle is off so you won't drain your truck...

  • Replacement Bright Way Trailer Breakaway 5 Amp Hour Battery and Charger
We have the Bright Way Trailer Breakaway Kit # 3802339 which is the entire kit. Or we have the Battery # 3801250 and Charger # 3802349 separately if your case is not damaged. The charger maintains the charge on the battery when connected to your trailer. This ensures when the emergency brake away cable is pulled the electric trailer brakes have the power they need to stop the trailer and prevent it from rolling away.

  • Keyed Alike Coupler Lock For My Travel Trailer
Though we do not carry the Reese Towpower 72783 coupler lock, we do have The Fastway Universal Trailer Coupler Lock # FA86-0015-313 that comes with the 313 key. You can order as many as you need and they all will come with the same key. This would require you to switch to the Fastway coupler lock though as it will not match your Reese Towpower lock. The lock has an unique bend in the reversible shackle that lets it snug up tight to most types of couplers or coupler latches. The tube key...

  • Parts Needed to Add Brakes to Trailer with 3,500 lb Axles
For your tandem axle 2016 C and M trailer, the 3,500 lb axles make it easy to add electric brakes. You will need to use 10 inch assemblies. My recommendation is the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 lbs # AKEBRK-35-SA for each axle. These assemblies will work well for your axles and are self adjusting. Then I recommend using the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 3.5K E-Z Lube Axles - 10" Diameter - 5 on 4-1/2 - Pre-Greased # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K...

  • How To Switch from Surge Brakes to Electric Brakes on Tandem Axle Trailer
I have a few options for you to help with identifying the correct electric brakes and hubs/drums for your trailer. The first and easiest method would be to crawl under the trailer and look for the axle tag on the beam. This should give an axle capacity which we can then use to find the brakes and hubs/drums based off industry standards. For example, a 3,500 lb axle uses the Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 3.5K Axles part # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K and Electric Trailer Brake Kit...

  • How Much Does Timbren Axle-Less System w/ Hub # A35RS545 Weigh?
The weight of the Timbren Axle-Less System, # A35RS545, is right at 50 lbs for each side and make up a total of 100 lbs of your trailers GVW. This is pretty comparable, maybe slightly less, in weight compared to a traditional axle and leaf spring suspension. If you ever want to add electric brakes to this kit, I suggest picking up the following parts: Brakes - # AKEBRK-35-SA qty 1 Drums - # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K qty 2 7-Way Wiring Kit (If you need wiring for brakes) - # e99011 qty 1 Brake...
