Today we're going to be taking a look at the Stromberg Carlson 20-pound propane tank storage rack. This is part #2020-JR. This rack as you can see is designed to hold one 20-pound propane tank inside of our trailer or wherever else we might want to secure a tank. So we've got 2 mounting locations, one here on the bottom, one here on the top. It's going to allow us to secure it to just about any flat surface that we'd like giving us lots of different options. We are going to find the location that we want to use. Of course we want it to be square so aesthetically it looks nice an we will just use a fastener of our choice to hold it in place.
Nice and secure, let me grab our tank. Then we just slide our tank right down in it. I would like to support this front just a little bit to kind of help guide our rings around. Then it's just a matter of using our wrench, tightening down our bolt located here in the front. As you can see that brings everything together nicely here.
It brings our bands tightly around our tank, and it gives us a nice secure storage location. We are ready to head down to the road onto any adventure that we'd like to participate in. And that will complete today's look of the Stromberg Carlson 20-pound propane tank rack, part #2020-JR. .

Built my own roof top tent trailer and this was an excellent addition to carry a large propane tank rather than the small ones. We took a three week trip to a bunch of national parks and had propane for the entire trip. It was easy to mount, a couple of bolts and done.
Very simple design. Good glossy finish. Would be nice if it had a quick release buckle. Not a deal breaker since I intend to use this a backup tank holder.
A good product for the price but didn't give 5 stars because the bottom of the bracket that the propane bottle sits on isn't long enough to allow the propane bottle to sit flush against the rack. The propane bottle sits at an angle and as a result the strap nut is very difficult to begin threading onto the strap screw. Once started it holds great but will be difficult to remount the propane bottle when i remove it to fill the bottle. I recommend the manufacture modify the bottom of the bracket to allow propane bottles to sit flush against the rack. I even tried another bottle with the same results.
I had to modify it extensively The connecting bolt on the tank takes wrenched instead of one end being stationary and the other hand and a wing nut The bottom clip DID Not fit my trailer frame and I had drill and bolt in on The loop was too large for the bottle and I had to add a piece of lumber to make it tight and it still rocks. Really poor design for my particular trailer.
Mounted to side of tool box on my pop up camper . Solid no movement at all.
After a Jerry rigged propane tank fell off my trailer on a dirt road and interstate, I now have peace of mind with this product.
your product sucks. if i don't return it because is more easy and cheaper trashed it than wasting my time returning
Seems fine. I just don't think this product is a REVIEW type product. It does what it does
I could write a critical review of the Propane Bottle Rack, but I like it a lot. At such a price, it is significantly cheeper than making it myself. There are probably small differences between different bottle manufactures. I had to make a couple small bends in the rack to get the perfect fit it is capable of. The final product is exactly what I was after to put on the front of my trailer. It’s not over or under built. I like etrailer products.

The Propane Bottle Rack, after 1 year, continues to work very well.
I worked for what it was designed for.
Propane tank bracket is sturdy and well finished. The design is simple and holds the heavy tank secure. Very nice piece of hardware. I would recommend it.

Perfect after a year of continuous duty.
My Jayco trailer with the Baja package had the propane bottle mounted in a pretty flimsy way. I ordered this thinking it would be a good fix. It was well made and sturdy. I welded a supporting strap under the base brackets and then welded this mounting bracket to it. Worked perfectly. Fit my needs exactly and as I said, it was very solidly constructed. Plus, a great price. Cheaper than another site.
Not a great fit for 20# tank. It happens that I own the same tank holder that is about 20 years old, so I have the 2 to compare each time I attach & secure my propane tanks. I have found that the older holder metal straps wraps around the tank more closely, snugging up tighter and allowing less movement in that tank. The newer one I purchased from etrailer does not fit the tank as well, and the way the straps are bent at the ends where the bolt comes through the alignment seems off so the snug up is not as full. As I use additional straps to secure the tank I feel it is secure enough to use, but does not seem to have been designed for quite as close tolerances as the unit from years ago.
Works, but too flimsy me. I mounted this to the outside of my trailer. I drilled and tapped holes in the metal stud but while driving I could see the propane tank shaking back and forth. I really think this should span two studs on the trailer not just the one. So now I only use this in camp and I transport the propane tank securely in the back of my truck.
Both products came as advertised. Fairly quick delivery.
I had ordered 3 propane brackets originally for some reason I was credited 92.00 back. I reordered it again.than your company changed 6 brackets. I called the girl took care of it and credited back for 92.00.i like her she was on her game. Ty
Seems a little light to be able to mount a 20lb tank on the exterior of the camper, combined with a base plate and secured to the frame seemed to help.
Item was backordered, which I did not realize until after ordering. About a month delay. I only ordered a few days ago, so I haven't received the item yet. It does look to be of high quality in the photos. Communication after ordering has been excellent with etrailer.com. I'm just patiently waiting now.

Works great installed in my trailer, no more strapping down a 20lb cylinder.
Works as expected. Nothing too shocking here but it's holding my LP tank on the front of my enclosed just fine.
