I haven't tried using it yet, so I can't say how well it works yet, but it appears to be very solid. The wheels/tires are much larger than the ones on my Harbor Freight dolly which gives me impression I will be able to more easily move my boat & pop-up trailer.

With regards to putting it together - I followed the instructions, but wasn't able to connect the smaller top stablizer bar. The holes did NOT line up. I had to go back & loosen all the other nuts before I could line up the holes on the stablizer bar. Once that was connected, I went back and tightended all the other nuts.

I personally feel using a bolt/nut on the adjustable ball is a poor design that doesn't allow for rapid adjustment. So I used a pin instead as shown in the picture.

Working out very well. Much easier to move my 2000lb popup trailer over level terrain.

This item surprised me! I was told I could push or pull my RV even in grass, level ground of course. I could. My RV is under 2700lbs(Geo Pro 15 TB). If ground is wet, my wife holds the RV Dolly and I slightly push and it goes where we want it just fine. If you are on level concrete or asphalt you would have no problem at all. I wouldn't use this product or any other similar product if you were on very sloped surfaces, due to the momentum of your RV getting away from you...very dangerous. But... if used correctly, this product is a back saver. Highly recommend! Finally, etrailer was the best! Customer service, follow up, delivery, all top notch.

This dolly is too small for my boat. I have a 20 foot Centurion with a dual axle trailer (weighs about 3500 lbs) and it's very hard to back and corner into my driveway. I gave the dolly to a friend who has a 16 foot fishing boat. It works for my friend but is way too small for my boat.

We do carry part # MT70881
MaxxTow MaxxHaul Dual Pull Trailer Dolly - 1-7/8" Hitch Ball - Steel - 600 lbs
$116.25
which has a tongue weight capacity of 600 pounds which would be enough to handle a typical 3500 pound trailer.

I ordered the Rack’em RA20 Trailer Dolly from etrailer to assist in loading our 16 ft. boat into our self-made boat hauler/camper. It was delivered as scheduled. It is definitely better quality than the dolly my son bought at a local tool store. It makes it easy to move the boat even on the ballast rock parking lot where the trailer and boat are in storage. It gives me full control of loading the boat into the camper with less than three inches of clearance on each side, using a remote control winch mounted in the trailer. Without the RA20 it would be next to impossible to control the loading. It's a great tool.

The Rack'Em Trailer Dolly is a game changer for us. We have a 2018 Airstream Bambi 16RB and this dolly enables us to park and retrieve our camper in our paved side yard quickly. The access to that area is very tight with angled entry. Was very tough, time consuming and frustrating to try and park it with our TV hitched. This dolly solves all issues and does not require a bunch of strength to move our 3000 lb. trailer on a level surface. My wife can even do it! Very well built...it looks like it will stand the test of time as well.

by:

Was easy to assemble and looks like good quality workmanship. I've used it twice over the weekend to move my boat from the side of the driveway. So far this dolly has made the job much easier then pushing or pulling the boat and trailer with the small jack wheel wanting to turn direction all the time. It's a tight fit between my house and fence but this dolly makes it easy to move and position the boat. I believe the large wheels on the dolly is the key.

by:

I had a very tight storage area for my camper and had to unhitch, move and re-hitch my tow vehicle to get it inside the building. There is only 6 inches on each side. I ordered the Rack'em trailer dolly and it was easy to assemble and has worked great saving me the 30-45 minutes struggling with my camper before. With the trailer dolly, I can easily push it right into place. It is well built and sturdy. the big wheels make a big difference. I highly recommend this piece of equipment.

Comments
It has been fine. I do have to keep airing the tires up as they have a tendency to leak air. the unit itself works fine.

The trailer dolly is extremely useful in moving trailer type loads into tight locations...assembly was very easy to follow...very well built...tires are pneumonic, so you need to be careful of sharp objects on the ground...it would be helpful to have a parts list...I changed the bolt(2"x3/8") that is used to change the height of the ball hitch to a wire round lynch pin, it did not make sense to use a bolt when it is most likely that the height will change...I would recommend this product...

by:

Such an improvement over using your back and much more precise control with much less effort. Should have purchased this years ago. The trailer is not huge (5 x 10), but it weights 1200 lbs empty when I am moving it around.

by:

When I saw how the trailer dolly was packaged, I knew I had made a good decision. It was heavily boxed and well protected (see attached photo). I use it to pull my 500 lb. outboard skiff out of a basement and up a rather steep graveled grade (see other attached photo). I'm 67 and before I got the trailer dolly it took a tremendous amount of effort to pull the boat out by grabbing the coupler with one hand and the winch support with the other. I usually had to stop and rest at least once and hope it didn't roll back down. Now the boat comes out without having to stop and with much less effort. I've had the RA20 trailer dolly for a year now and the boat is being used a lot more!

by:

This is an excellent and well-designed piece of gear. It's heavy duty and the axle is strong enough to prevent deformation under heavy loads. Also, the tires have stayed well inflated and after one year have only recently required a little more air pressure. I'm very happy with this Rackem product and would happily buy it again.

by:

I’m not sure we got the right one. It was recommended based on our boat size but we struggle to move the boat with it. And the tires go flat a lot.

by:

The tires do not hold air for very long. The folly doesn't move the trailer as easy as I had hoped3

Comments
Do you have a rough estimate on how long they do hold the air? Or if you keep this dolly stored outdoors? Can you also provide what kind of terrain you are using this item on most of the time?
-- Etrailer Expert Katrina B - 04/05/2022
I have to air up the tires every 2 to 3 weeks. The unit lives in my garage all of the time attached to my skeeter sl 185. My garage and my house are new, the surface is a flat epoxy coated floor.
-- comment by: Jeff N - 04/05/2022
Due to the amount of use, it is difficult to determine exactly how long the lifespan of the air tube in the wheels will last. I have sent this over to the manufacturer for them to better assist you.

This dolly has helped us so much with getting our boat into a very tight space in our garage. Very good product!

by:

I use this trailer dolly to move a Boston Whaler Super Sport 130 and trailer (about 1300 lbs.) from my driveway into my garage. The driveway is relatively level with a dip for drainage and a small lip into the garage. The dolly works extremely well navigating the boat and trailer into fairly tight quarters. It requires a bit of push to get the boat and trailer up the slope of the drainage dip and over the lip into the garage, but is reasonably doable for one person. The driveway and garage are concrete surfaces. I think that this trailer dolly is good for weights up to about 1,500 lbs. over relatively level, paved surfaces. The dolly is well-made, and the large tires provide for leverage.

Comments
Yes. Excellent after a year of use.

Well made and extremely useful dolly for moving my 3,500 pound trailer around a flat concrete storage unit. Just drop the height of the tongue, pop it under the trailer, and an average weight 50-year old dude can easily move a heavy trailer on a smooth surface. Couldn't live without it.

by:

Great dolly! I got this to replace one I got or like $75. That was a piece of crap: cheap construction, bolts that came loose, metal that bent easily. This one is exactly what a trailer dolly should be: high quality, sturdy construction.

Comments
It’s great, I still love it!

Everything went together nicely. I am happy with the quality of the product

by:

Very Fast Shipping ,Trailer Dolly works very good on a 6x10 trailer.

by:

This seems like a pretty good product, especially compared to others I looked at online for around the same price. This is designed to be an occasional use, non professional dolly and it works fine with my small enclosed cargo trailer that weights about 1100 lbs and has a 120 lb hitch weight empty ( if that much). If you were planning on moving your tandem axle camping trailer you might be disappointed. Over all I am very pleased with the purchase.

Comments
Its been a year and the dolly has held up well. Still very happy with the purchase.

I got this to move my 6x12 enclosed Haulmark trailer around...with some custom cabinets built into the front, the tongue weight is around 300lbs empty, and can push 400lbs when loaded with gear, dirt bikes, etc. Occasionally I need to move the empty trailer, and having to hook the truck up to do that was a PITA, and no way do I want to blow out my back and bang up my knees trying to lift and move it myself...I'm a big strong guy and there is no way to gain proper leverage without this dolly - it works great and will save me a lot of hassle/strain from now on! My only complaint is the handle should be twice as wide - it's too narrow.

Comments
Well after more usage over the past few years, Ive decided this unit is going to be replaced ... the wheelbase is too narrow, which results in the jack foot hitting the tires, andor the dolly goes up on 1 wheel and tips over, making it impossible to do sharp turns ... VERY annoying. To improve on this unit, they should beef up the axle and widen the stance around 12, along with a wider handle for overall better leverage/mechanical advantage. Also, the hardware tends to come loose, but since Ive loc-tited all the fasteners, it seems to be holding up. If that doesnt work, nyloc nuts might be a better option.

Great dolly, even though I've only used it a couple times. I have no more use for it and I'm actively trying to sell it. Please let me know if I can sell my (lightly) used dolly on your site.

by:

I can't believe how much easier it is to move my 1600 pound sailboat and trailer around my driveway! This leverage and steering control makes all the difference, since I always move the boat myself. I did not rate the product excellent because assembly was problematic. The main problem is the axle fits way too tightly into the wheels, so that when assembling I had to hammer it home from both sides. It ultimately worked, but a real pain.

Comments
Still going strong. A good product for sure!

I browsed through several web sites, but etrailer had the best organization and the most information. I had just purchased a small 4' x 6' 2000 lb. trailer that I use for picking up machinery for the shop.

I needed a good dolly to maneuver the trailer to the chain hoist and chose the RA20. I ordered it on Thursday and it was delivered Friday, outstanding service. The dolly is well made with good wheels, assembled in 15 minutes and went to work. A nice piece of machinery if used within its specifications. Well pleased.

Comments
Excellent service, I am still very pleased.

I received the RA20 trailer dolly and was able to put it together rather easily. I have used it a few times, and find it much easier to move my 17' Tracker boat in and out of the garage. I have the post extended to its maximum height, and I do lower the trailer's jack stand to make it all work.

Comments
Thank you for the email. To be honest, I have found the dolly to be more difficult to use this year than last. I dont know if this has to do with the bigger heavier motor that I installed this year, the tires may be under-inflated, or...I got weaker over the Winter. : In any case, I think its a good buy for most situations, and I just need to figure out how I can make this work better. I still use it, so thats a plus.
