Instructor Hi, everyone. Ethan here with etrailer.com And today we're gonna be taking a look at this, butt hinge from Marlboro. That's gonna be a hinge made here in the USA, and it's gonna be great for your cabinets, doors or panels on your trailer. That's gonna be made of a really solid steel construction. It's really thick metal, but it's going to have an unplated mill finish. So no like zinc coating or anything, no stainless steel construction.

So you might not get the same sort of corrosion resistance as you might get with something like that. And this is gonna give you 270 degrees of rotation. So you can have our hinge right here in it's closed position, it'll open up 180 degrees flat and all the way out to 270 where it will stop. It kind of hits itself right there. So you get a really full range of motion with this, plenty of room to open a door all the way, or get it closed at whatever angle you need to.

You're gonna notice here on the sides, we've got no sort of pre drilled holes. It's gonna be just bare metal. So you have couple of options here. You can drill your own holes, get your own hardware, that sort of thing, and still bolted on, or you can weld it on. So those door options that you have with this, if you are looking for something that has pre drilled holes, you can find those options on our website as well.

Looking at our pin here, we've got a three, eighth inch diameter pin. Now this isn't going to be one that's removable. It's kind of rounded off here at either end. So it is locked in there. You could remove it if need be, but it's not one that you can just slide out pretty easily on your own.

So other dimensions to keep in mind here, I'm going to lay it flat on the table right here. As far as our width side to side goes, let me just adjust my grip here. We've got three inches from side to side, and then from top to bottom, we've got six inches. So that's the kind of space you're working with when it's in it's flat unfolded state here, and that measurement is symmetrical. So from the center of our pin out, in either direction, it's gonna be an inch and a half wide. So that's your measurement here from the center of the pin out to the end, when it's folded flat like this. Now on the back here, each knuckle is going to be an inch wide and then each knuckle end here, it's going to be half an inch wide. And that's gonna to do it for our look at this Butt hinge.
