Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at this 72-inch-long, three-inch-wide steel piano hinge. Now this hinge'll provide sturdy, continuous support along the length of your cabinet, your door, or your panel. These are great for oversize doors, trailer doors, and entrance doors. These will provide more support than multiple small hinges. This is a nice continuous design, so it will reduce the stress on the hinge when it's used with heavier doors, and this does rotate 270 degrees.

Just wanna zoom in to show you that. If you see here, we can rotate it back about 90 degrees that way, and then all the way 180 degrees this way, so total of about 270 degree rotation for full opening and closing motion. This is a nice durable steel construction. has an unplated mill finish, and this is a weld-on or bolt-on installation. How if you do bolt it on, it does require drilling holes into the hinge for that.

This part as made in the USA. Do a few dimensions on this. First, do the overall length. So we'll measure one end all the way to the other end with the tape measure, right at 72 inches or six feet, overall length. The width on it, and when we measure the width, it's gonna be the widest part, so when it's both pretty much open, the open width.

Let's zoom in on this, so we get a better view. So if we open it all the way you can see it's gonna be right at about three inches wide and the knuckle length, each one of these sections here is called a knuckle, so the length on the knuckle is going to be right at two inches. And then the pin that goes through this hinge, the diameter on that pin is gonna be 3/8 of an inch. So it's a very durable, heavy duty hinge you can see.
