Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this cam action lockable aluminum door latch. And this cam action door latch is gonna be ideal for the side doors on utility trailers or fold down trailer gates. It's got this 12 and a half inch double action handle assembly that's going to ensure simple secure latching and helps to protect against in-transit jarring. You just flip the handle keeper on the hasp up and then lift the handle and can rotate the handle to either release or engage the cams and then put it back in place like so, and when we're ready to latch it. This handle is reversible in design so it can be used on left-hand doors or right hand doors.

You can see our bridge type hasp helps to prevent accidental opening and ensures safe latching action. This can be locked with a pad lock. It's padlock is not included but you can see we've got a half inch diameter hole there that we could just pass the padlock through to add some extra security. These narrow wraparound keepers are ideal for your rear door or side door applications. They're not gonna stick out too far, and take up too much room for you On our hinges we do have these non-removable pins that's going to ensure maximum security and keep your cargo safe.

It's gonna help prevent any tampering and removal of the door. All these components are made here in the USA of a lightweight aluminum construction. So they are gonna be rustproof, you don't have to worry about that corrosion over time. Does have this black vinyl handle that's gonna provide a nice, smooth, and comfortable grip for you as you're opening and closing that. And this is gonna be a bolt-on installation.

As you can see, we've got bolt holes here on our hinges and on our keeper set. The hardware to get these installed is not included so you will have to provide that yourself. And you are also going to need a schedule 40 three quarter inch diameter plumbers pipe that will need to be welded onto the cam ends and to the handle for complete installation. They don't include it because that's gonna vary based on your trailer, so you get one that's gonna work for you. You can just go to the hardware store or something like that, make sure it's gonna be the, the proper length and then weld all those components in place.

They do include some end caps for you to make sure that that pipe isn't going to allow water to get in and corrode and that sort of thing. When you're determining where this will be mounted, if you're looking to replace an old one and wanna reuse those same bolt holes, and you can see this our mounting holes are about three eighths of an inch, and then on our hinges those, both holes are spaced approximately three and a quarter of an inch, center to center. Move that a little bit closer to center so you can see that better. And then our keeper, those mounting holes are spaced approximately four inches center to center. So just make sure that this is gonna work for your application. We do have other options available here at etrailer.com.
