This round rubber bumper protects the rear of your trailer and provides cushion for your cargo as you load and unload.Product is as described, some tips on installation might be helpful. Plus you mention to use 5/8 bolts, which seemed rather large! I used 1/2” and seems to do the trick. I also added a backing plate inside the bumper as this one doesn’t come with one.

First I would like to thank etrailer for their fantastic customer service. I rebuilt an old trailer using exclusively parts from etrailer. Every part exceeded my expectations. I haul many horses for a rescue organization and getting those horses in and out of a trailer can be an interesting experience. I put this bumper on the back of the trailer to help protect their legs. After a year of hard use the bumper looks like it is brand new. Unlike some bumpers I have used in the past, this one stands up to horses, has not chipped or pulled away from the trailer.
This was a replacement for my 20 year old trailer which no longer supplied replacement parts. It needed some modifications, but worked well, and has lasted.
I'll buy from etrailer again as I have in the past.

It is working well with no sign of deterioration a year later.
Exactly what I needed it to be. Has held up and been good for a year. Nothing wrong with this if you need one. :-)
Quality product and fit well
A year later and still going strong! The rubber bumper was difficult to put on...in part because I had to drill holes in my trailer, but it has been a great addition and saved more than one horse. So glad we did it.

Great. As hoped
In my case I had to install this with a reinforcement bar inside.
Be advised that on a drawbridge trailer door, when installed full length, I had to adjust the door tension due to the weight.
I like it. and it certainly is better at protecting the door corners than the tiny round bumpers the trailer came with so I am pleased.
etrailer does not sell (nor does the manufacturer) an end cap (plug) so I made one out of aluminum. I think they should have at least been offered, if not included.
We use this rubber bumper to make several small ones. Works perfectly.
Had this installed on my horse trailer when I removed the cumbersome ramp. A year later it's still protecting my horses' legs as they unload.
I have not installed the bumper yet. The quality seems to be good. My only problem is that it doesn't come with mounting hardware or any instructions for mounting. Our trailer did not previously have a bumper, so we didn't have any hardware,nor could we see how it is mounted.

Good bumper. Should work well. Yes the holes are pre drilled but you have to make the outside holes bigger to get a washer and bolt inside and then the socket. They might as well no pre drill the holes. Seems like good quality rubber and should last a while.
