Note: To avoid the Tow & Stow hitting steep driveways or curbs, we recommend at least 11" of clearance between the ground and the lowest point of the drop hitch, as seen above.
The B&W Tow & Stow adjustable ball mount lets you tow a variety of trailers with different tongue heights. Having both a 2" ball and a 2-5/16" ball allows for even more versatility, making this the ultimate go-to ball mount if you own multiple trailers.
To switch the hitch ball, simply remove the pin holding the balls in place and rotate the entire block that the balls are mounted on until the ball you want to use is on top. Then replace the pin to secure the block in place.
Adjusting the height of the ball is just as easy. Remove the pins holding the ball mount platform in place and slide the platform up or down along the shank to the desired position. Once you have found the correct height, reinsert the pins and replace the clips.
When you're not towing, you can flip the ball mount platform around and stow it beneath your hitch so that you won't bang your shins. Just remove the pins to slide the ball platform down along the channel and up the back side so that the hitch balls face towards your vehicle. Then replace the pins.
The Tow & Stow ball mount features a channel that runs along both sides of the shank. This channel not only allows you to slide the ball mount platform up and down to adjust the ball height, but it also prevents removal of the platform when the ball mount is installed, which will help prevent theft of your trailer.
A slot is cut into the adjustment channel near the top of the shank. To remove the ball mount platform from the shank you will need to remove the entire ball mount from your hitch. Then remove the pins that hold the platform in place. Flip the platform around to the stowed position on the rear of the shank, and then slide it up until the center pin lines up with the slot in the shank. Pull the platform out towards the rear of the shank until the pin pops out of the adjustment channel.
When the Tow & Stow is secured in your hitch receiver, you will not be able to remove the ball mount platform. This is because the slot in the shank is positioned in such a way that the collar on your hitch will block the pin on the platform from being able to leave the channel. Even if the pins holding the ball mount platform in place are removed, the platform will still be confined to this channel. So, as long as a hitch lock is used to secure the entire ball mount in your hitch receiver, and a coupler lock is used to prevent your trailer's coupler from being disengaged from the ball, your trailer will be secure.

Perfect for my 2024 GMC HD. I like the anti-theft plate on it. Easly transforms out of the way when not in use. Thanks to George for keeping me informed throughout the process.
I did remove the hitch during the Michigan winter trying to avoid salt; however, this hitch has performed perfectly. It works great with the MultiPro tailgate, allowing you to fully lower the gate without running into the hitch. The weight rating allows me to comfortably pull my 35 foot trailer with confidence.
A year ago, Emily at E trailer got me my hitch to me when I was in a time crunch for a trip. If you have a GM truck with the new tailgate this is a mist have!

Perfect, No Issues, and it’s always there when I need it. It has never hit the tailgate.
As always etrailer came through with excellent service. They are quick and professional. B&W hitches are the best. They are designed well and work as intended. Then they stow away until they are needed again.
I purchased this hitch to pull my seed tender when planting the hitch is just what I needed to get the correct ball height and I can use my multi pro tail gate when it’s installed. I would recommend looking into the B & W hitches and there gooseneck hitch with the handle.

Fits very loose in factory 2.5' hitch after 2000 miles of fairly light weight towing (5000 -7000 lbs.). Love the design for multi flex tailgate. Had multiple people panic, including me, the first time they see tailgate open with hitch attached.
So far it’s exactly what I needed. The added clearance to the multipro tailgate is a huge plus!
Retaining pins get a little rusty but that’s kind of expected being exposed to weather
I have been towing heavy with this hitch for over 120k miles delivering RV’s. Not a single issues. Great product!!

This hitch is still towing heavy for long periods of time. Still works flawlessly. Only issue I’ve had was loosing the pins when using the cotter pins. They are pricey too. Other than that great product.

I’m extremely happy with my purchase. No need to worry about my pro tailgate getting damaged. Have had regular tailgates in all my previous trucks, so the first time I dropped my pro tailgate down on my old ball mount, which i obviously wasn’t thinking about the clearance issues, hurt. So the first thing I did was research options and found this. Now when I drop the step and (not thinking) I won’t damage my tailgate.
Perfect hitch for the fold down tailgate. Added bonus that I don’t hit my shins walking behind the truck!
I have the new GMC MultiPro tailgate that some genius engineer invented and obviously was not a truck driving towing person, the tail gate comes down and hits the ball hitch. This ball hitch was designed to allow the tailgate to come down and not be damaged by the ball hitch. I love it. It works perfectly, and highly recommend it. I leave the ball in position and don't return or hide it.

After a year, the product still works great. Stainless steel pins have not corroded and slide well.
