Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Blue Ox adjustable ball mount with clamshell for your two inch hitch receiver. Now, this adjustable ball mount with the pre-installed two inch hitch ball is going to slide into your two inch hitch receiver and give you a maximum drop or a maximum rise when you flip this over of seven inches. And it's going to give you an incremental height adjustment of one inch. And this is going to give you that height adjustability that you are looking for so you can tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle.

And this does include this clamshell adapter, so you can have a 2-5/16 inch hitch ball option. So that's a really nice feature when you need to go to a larger ball. You don't have to undo this or flip it over or put a whole nother ball in there. All you gotta do is put that clamshell over the two inch ball and now you are able to tow a 2-5/16 inch trailer using a 2-5/16 inch coupler. So very easy to swap out those ball sizes.

Now, this does have a gross towing capacity of 10,000 pounds. And again, I've got the drop/rise listed there for you on the bottom of that graphic. This hitch is heavy duty. It's constructed of powder coated steel. It's gonna hold up really well for you.

And our hitch ball and the clamshell are constructed stainless steel, so they're gonna hold up against corrosion. And this is gonna be very easy to adjust. You're just going to remove the pins and clips here and slide that ball platform up or down the shank. So let me go ahead and remove the clips here. Then I'm gonna remove the pins.

Put them on the table here. So then coming around here so you can just have a better view, this is going to be able to slide up and down without any problem whatsoever. Just gonna find that height adjustment that you need and then reinsert the pins and the clips and you'll be good to go. So you're really not going to be at the back of your truck struggling to find just that perfect height that you're looking for. This is gonna be pretty easy to adjust. So I went ahead and removed my pins. I'm gonna replace the clips, replace the pins rather. Now I'm replacing the clips. By the way, you probably know this, but with these particular clips, you wanna make sure your finger is not here when you close that. I have bruised my fingernail a few times doing that, so it's got a pretty good recoil, but that's good because you know it'll hold in place. Now as you notice, this does include a 5/8 inch pin and clip so you can secure this ball mount your hitch receiver. You do not have a hitch lock option. I would definitely recommend taking a look at those options here at etrailer.com just so you can be confident that your investment is secured to the back of your truck and you're not gonna have to worry about someone coming by and yanking it off your trailer hitch receiver when it's unattended. I went ahead and took some measurements that might prove helpful for you before our time together. So the first measurement I took is from the center of what I'm calling the first hitch pin hole to the center of the ball. It's gonna be about 8-1/4 inches. And then we move to the center of the second hitch pin hole, it's gonna be about 9-5/8 inches. And then the measurement from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank about two inches is what I came up with. So easy to adjust and really the star of the show is just the ability to switch to your 2-5/16 inch hitch ball with that clam shell adapter.
