Sturdy steel anti-rattle ball mount with a threaded hitch pin hole and solid shank measures 7-1/4" from center of hitch pin hole to center of ball hole. Powder coat finish is corrosion resistant.Other than getting most of the paint knocked off of this while in shipping from a loose ball inside the shipping box, it's a very impressive drawbar. The solid square bar that goes inside the receiver makes this much better than any 2" drawbar I've ever had. This thing is seriously heavy! I might not even keep this in the car until it's needed. With the ball, it weighs about as much as my small toolbag
The hitch looks good. It is what I ordered. Two Days! I have to say that I will definitely be recommending etrailer if it comes up.
Good solid hitch great shipping

I just purchased a new hideaway hitch system. But the hitch sits only 15 inches off the ground at best. And, my trailer coupling is 22-23 inches off ground. So l needed 7-8 inches of rise on the new 1.25 inch receiver system.
Internet research took me to etrailer and the Brophy hitch. I got 5.5 inches with the Brophy hitch, the highest available for a 1.25 inch receiver I could find. The others are limited to 5 inches max. I added another 1.5 inches with your Curt shock absorbing hitch. Voila, with a combined 7 inches of rise and on level ground the trailer now rides perfectly level!!!! Both parts were very easy to connect.
Delivery was speedy. Thank you for saving the day and my investment in an expensive new hideaway hitch!

We have had our hitch now for about a year. It has worked well for us. We have a pop up camper that has a hitch that sits up higher than the original hitch on our Pontiac Vibe. So this worked well to bring up the hitch to match the height we needed. Strong and secure. Easy transaction and fast shipping. Would buy from etrailer again.

The only 1-1/4" drop hitch that you can get that has the proper length to be able to mount to my golf cart.

It was a perfect fit for my explorer, I'm now able to pull a small box cart that allows me to move my Honey Bee colonies to different pastures!

I love the ball-mount. Now I can haul my boat out to the lake. The best part of everything is - I got my package days earlier then expected. The service I received was great. Overall I am very happy with my purchase

Received the Class II Drawbar 5-1/2" Rise or 6" Drop - BM96
in a timely manner. The rise was what I was looking for to use with my Polaris ATV 570 since its standard receiver is 1-1\4 hitch and sits low to the ground. This was just the right height to pull my john boat behind the ATV.

Product is great. Though we didn't have a lift to put on the trailer hitch, but after watching your video and few times it took maybe 2 hours and the next day maybe a half hour to add the wiring.

Looks like a good quality product will be using in December to tow small trailer to California from Arizona

Quality of this hitch is top notch, the only suggestion I would make is to improve the fit in the hitch sleeve since it is a bit sloppy, I plan to shim mine to take
up some of the play.

The draw bar is absolutely perfect! all other internet and local hitch installer contacts said no one makes a 1 1/4" draw bar with a 6" drop. first picture is my original draw bar with a 2.5" drop. the trailer was running quite high. number 2,3,4 are with your Brophy draw bar you can really see the trailer is level.I took a measurement that may come in handy in your files. my car is a 2012 ford escape with a factory trailer package . The measurement from the center of my receiver to the ground is 18"1/4" trailer tires are 5.30x12 This is my new car and I was surprised at the height. the Ford dealer was no help so possibly you can supply other 4 wheel drive escapes with draw bars.

I bought this product to replace one that didn't have enough rise. On small cars such as a Nissan Versa, the hitch assembly is lower to the ground which can cause your trailer to ride low in front and high in the back. Adding weight toward the tongue only compounds the problem. I had a 4 inch rise which was not sufficient. BM96 gives me an extra 1 1/2" of height. I haul a 26hp 54" cut Husqvarna on a 5' X 10' tilt back trailer from "Old Reliable" One other point to mention. If your trailer rides low in the front and is fitted with a tongue jack, it can be difficult to lower it because the jack wheel can hit the ground in such a way that the jack can't be extended without lifting the tongue. BM96 gives the the extra height I need and solved my problem. This item fit perfectly and required no modification. I would highly recommend this if you need extra height!!

Expected my hitch to arrive in about 2 weeks. I got an email from etrailer saying they will upgrade shipping for free and received it in 2 days! Hitch is excactly what i am looking for. The paint was a little spotty on the hitch, but i could care less. It is a good solid hitch. I will turn to etrailer.com for all my towing needs.

etrailer is the only place I could find a 6" drop hitch for 1 1/4" receiver on my Polaris 570. I purchased a trailer on cl and needed a way to pull it evenly behind my four wheeler. I still had to mount the coupler on top of the tongue but that's no big deal. Service was great with immediate feedback once my order was placed and the delivery was fast. I would definitely do business with George again!

Bought this for my VW Jetta so I could haul my Kendon Dual motorcycle trailer because no hitch gave me enough rise. After installing a 2", 3/4 shank, 2 9/16 shank length ball secured and spaced with 6, 3/4 lock washers, I put it to the test. Loaded my Ferris 48" ZTR and away I went on the test run. Really impressed actually how little play there is in the 1 1/4 hitch. It's quite heavy solid no question.

Extremely high quality hitch. I use the 6 inch drop option and tow a 6x12 enclosed trailer. Etrailer was very fast with shipping and I will definitely shop here again. I wish the shipping company took more care.

I got exactly what I ordered and the website was very helpful with the 360 view. I could not find the 1"1/4 hitch insert anywhere in town. Thanks for the great experience and product.

Wasn't sure if this is going to work on our 2009 Toyota sienna, but it's just right. The 5 1/2 inch height was perfect for a double axle ATV trailer. Item is quality made and etrailer shipped fast!

Amazingly well built. It took me 8 years to find anyone who carried 1 1/4" hitches. Looks great on my Ford Explorer and I can now leave it there. Before I had an adapter for my 2" hitch, which could be left installed for safety reason. My only concern with this is that it was hanging halfway out of the box when received. The insert portion had broken through a corner, The paper in the box was only to keep the hitch from sliding around within. Didn't work.
