Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Curt, light aluminum adjustable two ball mount for your two inch hitch receiver. Now, this adjustable ball mount is going to slide into your two inch hitch receiver on your vehicle and give you a maximum towing capacity of 12,500 pounds and a maximum drop of seven and a half inches. Now, this adjustable height is going to obviously let you tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. You're just going to slide this ball platform up or down along this shank and secure it in place with the included pin and vibration resistant clip.
And like I mentioned, when this is all the way in the lowest position, and let me go ahead and show this to you real quick. I'm gonna go ahead and remove the pin. So when you have it in the lowest position, which will be right here, that's going to give you a maximum drop of right at seven and a half inches. And then this is going to adjust in one inch increments. And I do wanna let you know that this is not intended for use in the rise position rather.
And then I do have this currently set in the two and five 16th inch hitch ball. But to swap this out, I'm just going to slide the ball platform completely off the shank, flip it around, and then slide it back into place. And you can remove it from underneath the shank or below the shank as well. So it can either slide completely off going up or down. So very easy to slide this up and down this shank to get that perfect drop that you're looking for.
I'm gonna go ahead and replace my pin and clip. So the two different size balls are going to let you tow trailers with different coupler sizes and the balls are actually polished steel, so they're going to hold up really well for you. And just some other bits of information that might prove helpful for you. On that two and five 16th inch hitch ball, that's going to be where we get our highest towing capacity of 12,500 pounds. And then on the two inch ball, the maximum towing capacity or the gross towing weight's gonna be 8,000 pounds.
The tongue weight on the two in five 16 inch hit ball is gonna be 1,250 pounds. And then on the two inch ball it's gonna be 800 pounds. So very easy to change the drop, very easy to change which ball you want to use. The lightweight billet, aluminum construction is corrosion resistant. I really like this design. It's amazing just how light this is. When you look at it at first glance, you think this is going to be considerably heavier, but being that this is aluminum, it's very lightweight, but yet it's gonna be very durable, very strong for you. It's gonna be corrosion resistant. Some other measurements of mind proof helpful for you that I took before our time together. From the center of the hitch ball to the center of the first hitch pin hole is gonna be about seven and seven eights inches. And then to the second hitch pin hole is gonna be about nine and one eighths inches again on center. And then from the second hitch pin hole on center to the end of our shank, about one and five eighths inches. I do like the fact that the end of our shank is tapered. It's angled, so it's gonna be very easy to slide that into your trailer hitch receiver. The hitch pin hole diameter is five eighths of an inch. It does include the pin and clip to secure this into your trailer hitch receiver. However, this is really an investment that you're making. So I would recommend taking a look at our hitch lock options that we have [email protected] just to make sure that you have this locked to your trailer hitch receiver and someone can't come by and yank this off when you're not around. We do have an option where you can get a locking hitch pin for the trailer hitch receiver and a locking pin for the ball platform to secure both of those items on the back of your vehicle. So you can find those [email protected]. Instructions are included and this does include a limited lifetime warranty from Curt. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
