All of the products I've have bought for my trailer project from etrailer have been great. My go-to place for anything trailer related!

Perfect drop and keeps our RV trailer level. Good quality and shows no sign of wear.

Haven't set this up yet but quality feels good. User error on my part as this is not a ball I can replace but the flat bed I plan on buying for my motorcycle is a 2" so not a big deal and the price was a decent buy.

This Fusion ball mount has the correct drop for a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse. Fits nicely in factory hitch. Completely happy with its performance.

This ball mount has seen a lot of use and is doing great. No issues, just normal wear.

Wow! Fast delivery, easy install. I saved lots of money and time. Thank you. I have already recommended etrailer to several people.

would definitely give these items and more importantly your sales and service. 5 stars
My new F150 has a taller tailgate and the hitch receiver is farther under the bumper than my old ‘06 F250. It is also a little higher off the ground.
One picture shows how the tailgate hits tongue Jack on my utility trailer.
The ball was 8” from the receiver. The extension and new 4” drop ball mount move the ball to 14”.
So now the tailgate can open completely. Of course I needed to lengthen the chains and wiring pigtail. The trailer is only rated for 2900 lbs so it won’t exceed the decrease in load rating.

This was the right set up for my 2018 4Runner. Works great. As a footnote, I now have a second vehicle for towing (2019 Tundra 4X4). Using the measuring process provided by etrailer folks, I found the same ball works great on the Tundra.

Fit perfectly

Heaavy duty and looks great.

I haven't used this yet, but will be shortly. I had a 2" drop ball mount that served double duty for my utility trailer and our pop-up camper. I had a small extension welded onto my previous mount for a friction sway-controller that I used with the pop-up. We sold the pop-up a couple of weeks ago, and I figured that it would be worth setting the new owner up right with the correct ball mount that also accommodates the sway-controller.

Also, where I was towing with a 2003 Ford Explorer with an aftermarket hitch before, I now have a 2013 Explorer with the factory tow package and the receiver is tucked up higher. This makes my utility trailer tongue-high and not handle the highways so well. The 3 1/2" drop should cure this.

Again, as always, the service and shipping from are top notch.

Dennis L.

A good, solid ball mount. I could have gone for slightly more, but this works well.

Economical offering that installed as easy as expected. Seems to be a decent sized gap between the hitch and the receiver, will likely lead to some noise as it moves around given all the play, but not dissimilar from prior purchases. Sure it will do just fine. Like that the ball came torqued and permanently installed, suits my needs perfectly.

Arrived on time. Easy to install.

Good delivery time and quality product.

etrailer has been a blessing. They review my situation and help me with the correct product. I only use my C45154 when I'm ready to tow a trailer. Other than that, I've my 2018 Super Bowl Championship Team cover. Philly Philly.

I have wanted a trailer hitch for years but I never realized how easy it was to order and install myself. I ordered the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" - 75235 and the Curt Fusion Ball Mount for 2" Hitches - 2" Ball - 3-1/2" Drop - 7,500 lbs - C45154. They were both delivered 6 days after my order in perfect condition and I watched the video to learn how to install them. It took me less than 30 minutes and all I needed was a 17mm and 19mm socket wrench. So easy, would definitely recommend!!

My order consist of products from well known companys - Curt and Master Locks which are all Quality Made. I bought these items before picking up my Trailer,so to have ready for hookup. After looking at products ,they are new from the companys and ready to be used.I may have to update my Review after using products for 6 -12 months.,I did buy alike keys not knowing i couldn't get same keys for Hitch and Coupler,so i called Etrailer and they will Credit me back that amount.,Other than this no problem, yet. I'm thinking these products will last me for a very long time.

Great hitch for general light duty use. The gentle drop is perfect for pulling the jet skis and the occasional U-Haul trailer in-route to the dump. The receiver pin and clip are nice adds but I prefer a locking pin to keep the tongue and hitch ball on MY truck. Five star city this product.

I am really impressed with I ordered , with ease, several items and received them all within a few days. I ordered a hitch extender, a tire cover for my spare, several locks, and caps for my trailer’s wheels. Each product is well made and everything is exactly as I expected. Best online company I have ever dealt with. I will definitely use them for all future trailer needs.

Just a simple hitch ball in the drop and size I needed. Always good pricing and quick shipping with etrailer!

I’m very pleased. You guys are, by far, the BEST!
I really wanted a quality ‘Curt’ hitch set-up for my SUV.
You made the shopping easy, with quick order/ shipping turn-around. I really appreciate the quality of your services.

Great product, great price, look forward to installation.Fast friendly service too.

works fine, best price too, great company to buy from !!!

Very satisfied with the ball mount and ease of ordering. I was having trouble finding a 7500 lb rated stinger with a four inch drop locally. Jumped on and found exactly what I wanted at an great price.

The product was just what I needed and the customer service and delivery was amazing. Great people to work with.

Have used etrailer on many occasions and as always the service, shipping , and quality of products are just what I am looking for. So happy to have their products and expertise available, thanks to all.

My husband is happy with the hitch and excited that we got it so soon.

  • How to Pick Out Ball Mount for 2020 Toyota Tacoma
I attached a help article that details exactly how to pick out the correct ball mount for your towing setup with your 2020 Toyota Tacoma but I can't tell you exactly what you'd need without more info. Picking out the correct ball mount will allow your trailer to sit as level as possible. Basically you will first measure the height from the ground to the top of the receiver opening on the hitch while on level ground. Next, you will measure the coupler height from the ground to the bottom...

  • Recommended Ball Mount For Towing a U-Haul Trailer With a Vehicle Receiver Height of 23"
I recommend using the Curt Fusion Ball Mount # C45154 for towing the U-Haul trailer with your SUV. This ball mount has a 4" drop to help level the trailer. It is important to level the trailer as best as possible when towing. Having the trailer level will help reduce the chances of the contents moving around and will help prevent damage to the trailer if the rear of the trailer is to close to the ground. It can also prevent you from being able to back into some driveways on hills if the...

  • Solution for Bouncing Trailer with Low Tongue Weight
A weight distribution system wouldn't really help much in your situation. What you can do to help with the bounce is try moving weight up near the front of the trailer so that you can get the tongue weight of the trailer to be 10-15 percent of the total trailer weight. Getting the trailer as level as possible will also help. If your trailer is sitting nose high currently then that will also contribute to the bouncing. The part # C45154 is a 3 inch drop ball mount with a 2 inch hitch ball....

  • Comparing The Curt C45056 And C45154 Ball Mounts
The difference between the # C45056 and the # C45154 is that the # C45154 is a fusion ball mount. Meaning the ball is permanent and can not be removed from the draw bar. The # C45056 has a removable ball. This allows it to be used in either the drop or rise position. Also, if you ever had a need to swap it out for a 1-7/8" or 2-5/16" ball you will be able to do so. Other than that they are virtually identical with a 7.5K capacity. If you will only ever be towing one horse trailer that uses...

The Curt Class III Ball Mount # C45042 referenced in your question includes a pre-torqued 2-5/16 inch hitch ball. This exact ball mount is not available from the manufacturer without the hitch ball, but I do have an option that should work well. I recommend taking a look at the Curt Ball Mount # C45154. This 2 inch ball mount features a drop of 3-3/4 inches or a rise of 2-1/2 inches. It features the same 7,500 pound towing capacity as the Curt unit you were looking at but also has a nice...

  • Difference Between Standard and Fusion 2" Curt Hitch Ball Mounts
The Curt Class III Ball Mount # C45056 comes with a standard 2" hitch ball that can be removed and used in the drop or rise position with the ball mount while the Curt Fusion Ball Mount # C45154 has the 2" hitch ball welded to the platform so it can only be used in the drop position. The Fusion looks a little cleaner but it does lose that rise position so I recommend going with the standard # C45056 just in case you ever need to remove the hitch ball and reinstall it on the other side...

  • How to Choose a Ball Mount for a 2018 Toyota 4Runner
In order to choose the correct ball mount for your new 2018 Toyota 4Runner you will first need to measure from the ground to the top inside edge of your trailer hitch and then from the ground to the bottom of the coupler on your trailer while level.
