Today we're going to be taking a look at the curve ball mount for two inch hitches. This is a heavy duty ball mount that lets you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The shank portion slides into the receiver tube of your hitch and then the ball platform provides a mounting point for a hitch ball. Now hitch ball is sold separately so you will need to provide that on your own. If you don't have one, you can find one here at etrailer.com. You can use this ball mount in either the drop or rise positions, so both positions are available to help ensure level towing for your application. The unit is made from a steel construction.
It's going to feature a sturdy solid steel shank that provides maximum strength and durability. It's also going to feature a corrosion resistant high gloss black powder coated finish. Now to get it secured inside your hitch it does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. Those items are sold separately as well and available here at etrailer.com. The pin holes on this unit will accept a standard 5/8 inch diameter pin.
The product is made in the USA. It is designed for a two inch by two inch trailer hitch receiver. It's going to offer a max gross towing weight of 12,000 pounds with a ton weight capacity of 1200 pounds. A measurement that I took that I want to mention real quick, I measured from the center of the ball hole to the to the center of the hitch pin hole. If I put this ruler back on there and take that measurement. You see that's going to give us a measurement of pretty close to 10 inches, center on center.
Now if you're using this in the drop position it's going to give you a maximum drop of around two inches. That's from the inside top edge of the receiver tube of your hitch to the ball platform. If you're using it in the rise position and measure from the inside top edge of the receiver tube of your hitch to the top of the ball platform, that's going to give you rise of one inch. Again you're get a drop of two inches with a rise of one inch with this mount. The ball hole diameter it's going to measure and inch and a quarter. The drawbar thickness or platform thickness is going to measure one inch .
then the drawbar width that's going to give us a measurement of three inches wide. The unit is covered with a limited lifetime warranty. That's going to do it for today's look at the curve ball mount for two inch hitches.

I do have ONE NEED! But I don't think you can help me. I need a padded zipper-case to put the hitch in when I remove it from the JEEP. I never leave the hitch in when off-roading. But the one I am using is long!
Jenny N - 11/12/2021Literally a solid hitch, not just hollow tubing. I use to tow my boat and is rated more than I need but why cut it close! This hitch also has enough room for my Rock Tamers to be used.
I just went through the purchase process looking for a very specific hitch that I could not find anywhere else on my own. Nice heavy duty hitch. Works well with truck and dump trailer. Long 10 inches from ball to pin hole tailgate comes down and doesn't hit trailer jack
